My Happy Dragon Life With Supernatural Girls

Chapter 42: 42. The Banquet [2].

Sitting not too far from the male demon lords were Isabella and her daughter, Astrid.

Isabella was the only demon Lord who had arrived with her child and the little girl was around the same age as Aster.

And just like her mother, Astrid had the same blue skin, dark hair, and bright crimson eyes.

The young princess watched as the Dragon Queen and her children approached the seats reserved for them.

Then Vivian stepped forward to address her subjects and everyone immediately fell silent so they could hear what the Queen had to say.

"Demons of the Kingdom of House Gremory…"

"Distinguished guests from all across the continent."

"Thank you for the welcome you have shown my children."

"I also want to thank you for your loyalty, your love, and your unyielding faith in our kingdom."

"Many demons are currently in their own territory this morning, wishing they were here, wishing they could witness this moment in person. But they can't."

Vivian's lips curled into a proud, confident smile as she continued.

"And that makes everyone present here extremely lucky. So let's give the continent something to brag about by having the greatest banquet this kingdom has EVER seen!"

Vivian snapped her fingers and dozens of food and drinks appeared on all the banquet tables in the plaza.

Immediately, the atmosphere turned into a joyful chaos as the instrumentalists began playing their musical instruments, and the crowd cheered even louder.

"Yeah!!!"

"Long Live The Queen!!!"

"Long Live The Queen!!!"

"Long Live The Queen!!!"

Even the other demon lords couldn't help but be stunned by how intensely Vivian's royal subjects had been glazing her ever since they had arrived.

Of course, they knew about the things the Dragon Queen had achieved for her kingdom and its denizens, but seeing how everyone was so in sync with the way they loved, cheered, and respected Vivian made even the demon lords a little bit jealous.

After all, they themselves were leaders of their own kingdom, but never had they received this much praise from their loyal subjects, so they couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous of the Dragon Queen, even if they didn't want to admit it openly.

However, unfortunately for them, Vivian could easily read the expressions on their faces.

So, the dragon queen tilted her head slightly before locking gazes with them, then she poked out her tongue in a mocking gesture before going to take her seat.

Aster and Lily smiled and giggled while the demon lords were still in shock at what they had seen.

"Did… Did she just mock us?" A demon lord asked and the Capra Demon Lord cackled loudly. "Gahaha… Yep, she certainly did, and the worst part? We can't even pretend that we didn't see it."

Isabella smiled subtly and little Astrid covered her lips as she chuckled.

Growing up, Astrid had always heard her mother describe the Dragon Queen as frightening and overwhelmingly powerful.

But after seeing her and how her subjects adored her so much, the little frost demon princess couldn't help but develop an even greater level of respect for the Dragon Queen.

Meanwhile, everyone began to feast on the vast array of delicacies before them, with laughter and cheers echoing loudly throughout the plaza.

Aster looked around and noticed the different types of demons who had attended the banquet.

It was his first time seeing so many demons that he had only ever seen or heard of in books and video games in person.

It felt strange to be eating with creatures like Satyrs, succubi, mirror demons, centaurs, and Oni demons, but it felt really good as well to see these demons in real life.

However, Aster also noticed Hallie, Sara, and Cara sitting at a table.

All three ladies seemed to be talking and laughing about something funny until Sara noticed his gaze and the stunning banshee instantly waved both hands at him in excitement before returning her attention to Hallie and her sister.

Aster smiled and brought his gaze back to the entire plaza once again.

The music grew louder as the dancers twirled across the stone floor while a few demons continued to shoot out tiny fireballs that exploded in the sky like fireworks.

Aster turned to his mother, who smiled at him as she urged him to eat his food, while Lily continued to swing her feet happily as she smiled at any demon who made eye contact with her.

And whenever the cute little princess smiled at them, every single demon would instinctively smile back and gush over how cute their princess was unlike any other princess in the entire continent.

Aster smiled even more at how everyone was so easily charmed by Lily's cuteness, but at the same time, he couldn't help but feel the dozens and possibly hundreds of eyes on him.

It was overwhelming because just like many demons found Lily cute and adorable, there were also over a hundred male and female demons staring at him with different expressions on their faces.

Some ladies were completely smitten by his charm, while some males were just jealous of how good-looking he was.

Although, there wasn't anything too serious or troubling from the crowds.

But then, right after everyone had eaten to their satisfaction, a trumpet-like horn sounded and a demon announcer stepped forward. "The gift presentation will now begin," he called out, then continued. "All honored guests who prepared tributes will now be listed!"

Lily's eyes brightened up and the little princess swiftly turned to her big brother. "Big brother, I heard presents! Are they about to give us the gifts now?!" Lily asked happily and Aster replied with a small smile.

"Yeah, looks like it."

Meanwhile, Vivian giggled softly before snapping her fingers, and the illusion spell preventing Aster and everyone else from seeing the floating gifts was dispelled.

"Whoa." Aster and Lily's eyes widened and their jaws dropped cutely in surprise, because for the first time ever, the duo were staring at three huge trays of gifts.

Each tray had a mountain of presents that the duo could never have imagined possible.

Noticing their stunned expressions, Vivian giggled softly and said. "So, my little dragons, do you believe Mama now when she said the fun had only just begun?"

Aster and Lily simply nodded their heads in a dazed expression with their jaws still wide open.
