Aster nodded in response and Vivian decided it was time for everyone to call it a night.

The next morning, a few rays of sunlight filtered into Vivian's bedroom, brightening up the room.

Lily was still curled up against her mother like a cute little kitten as she hugged her pillow with a little drool at the corner of her lips.

On the other hand, Aster was already awake but he lay still for a moment to simply enjoy his mother's quiet breathing and the softness of her chest.

While Aster continued to enjoy the refreshing feeling of his mother's soft marshmallows, he suddenly felt her hand gently stroking his head.

"Good morning, sweetie."

"Good morning,"

"Since you're already up so early, it seems someone is eager to awaken their core."

"Yeah, I guess I am."

Vivian smiled before planting a kiss on his forehead. "You really want to learn magic that much, huh?"

"I do."

"Oh really, but what about swords and spears, aren't you interested in those too?"

"Yes, I am interested in them as well."

"Hmm, so if I were to ask you to choose between learning how to cast spells and learning how to use weapons, which would you choose to learn more of?"

"Hmm, I'd choose both."

"Ufufufu~ I guessed as much." Vivian giggled as she gently ruffled his hair before sitting up while trying not to wake Lily in the process. "I guess it would be nice to see my little one using a weapon to fight in the tournament."

"Thanks, but what about you? Are you good with swords or do you prefer to cast spells?"

"Well, Mama is more of a Conjurer than an Enhancer, so I tend to cast spells rather than using weapons."

"What's an Enhancer? Are they similar to knights?"

"In a way, yes," Vivian affirmed. "Knights and any other weapon specialists are called Enhancers because of their ability to strengthen not only their bodies but also their weapons."

"Whoa, so you're saying that if I'm an Enhancer, I'll be able to punch through walls?"

"Oh my sweet, little dragon. With proper training, you'll be able to do a lot more than just punch through walls. But there is one thing you need to know about Enhancers though."

"What's that?"

"Enhancers tend to undergo a very serious and severe training routine to grow stronger, so if you wish to go through this route, the journey ahead won't be easy."

"Will it be easy if I choose the route of a conjurer?"

"Not really "

"Then I'm not changing my mind," Aster assured her with a determined look on his face and Vivian couldn't help but find it endearing.

Though it would be foolish for anyone to dream of hurting him or Lily, still Vivian wasn't against the idea of Aster growing stronger in a world filled with dangerous beasts and corrupted spirits.

If Aster wanted to do anything, Vivian wouldn't stand between him and his goals, and she was prepared to do whatever it took to support him.

"Alright dear, it's time for us to have our bath, we have a big day ahead of us." Vivian playfully tapped his nose before pulling him up from the bed.

She snapped her fingers lightly and their clothes vanished from their bodies. As they approached the bath chamber, warm water flowed into the bath on its own, with steam rising in the process.

Before long, Aster had washed up with Vivian before changing into a simple training outfit.

Now, he was wearing a simple sleeveless shirt with black pants as he followed his mother through the quiet corridors of the castle.

They eventually arrived at a circular chamber that had smooth floors and a carved magic circle at the center of the room.

Approaching the center of the room, Vivian fully turned her attention to him. "Alright dear, shall we begin?" She asked and Aster nodded.

Seeing this, Vivian sat cross-legged on the floor and Aster did the same.

"Before we begin, there is something important you must know."

"What is it?"

"Every creature, spirit, or demon has something within us called a life force. Your life force can also be called your aura, and it is the energy we feel within us that helps us to create our core. So, let's start."

"First, I need you to close your eyes," Vivian instructed and he obeyed.

The moment he closed his eyes, Aster's other senses became more active.

He could feel the cool air on his skin as well as the smooth solid texture of the floor beneath him.

Then he began to inhale deeply.

Seeing this, Vivian further instructed him on what he needed to do.

To sense his life force, he had to be in a deep meditative state.

However, entering such a state was easier said than done because all Aster could see in his deep meditative state was utter darkness.

Aster slowly concentrated his attention towards his toes, all the way up to his head, but he still couldn't sense or feel anything.

However, he remained focused on what he was doing and then relaxed even more while blocking out the noise around him.

Nevertheless, all he could see around him was nothing but darkness until he suddenly noticed something glowing deep within his mind.

He traced the tiny golden particle and Aster could feel the warmth of that particle coming straight from the tip of his finger.

He focused his attention on that warm sensation and within seconds, he began to feel the warmth from the tip of his toes, his elbows, and his kneecaps as well.

Within minutes, his entire body was now glowing with a pale yellow color.

Noticing this, a huge smile appeared on Vivian's face because most young demons would have spent at least twelve hours before being able to do anything remotely close to what Aster had just done, but Aster had been able to accomplish this in less than two hours.

Therefore, Vivian couldn't have been prouder of what Aster had achieved.
