God's Imitator

Chapter 135: Wealthy Dynasty

"Beep——"

A sharp buzzing sound rang out. Lin Sizhi looked around, taking in the rather expansive game scenario.

The other three players from Community 17, Cai Zhiyuan, Luo Wei, and Qin Yao, also appeared nearby.

Qin Yao breathed a slight sigh of relief. Although she knew beforehand that this was a 'Community Confrontation' type game, where collaboration was likely possible, who could guarantee that the Imitator wouldn't play tricks?

Games like 'Matchmaking Game', where all players were forced apart and had to rely on cryptic messages broadcast via a data-filtering function, was also a form of cooperation.

Fortunately, the Imitator who designed this game had some sense of fair play.

Internal free communication meant it was possible to execute group strategies and cling to the strong players within the community.

This was good news.

With Lin Sizhi and Cai Zhiyuan here, and since the game wasn't a judgment game, exiting safely shouldn't be too difficult.

Luo Wei was entering a Walkway game for the first time and was looking around with some curiosity.

In total, there were 12 players in the field. From the positions of the other eight, it was clear: everyone seemed to be from three different communities, each with four people.

This completely matched the selection rules in the broadcast.

Lin Sizhi noticed that all players wore a special electronic Identity Card around their necks, slightly smaller in area than a tablet, clearly visible, and featuring the following contents on both sides.

[Community 17 - Lin Sizhi]

[Identity: --]

[Age: --]

[Wealth: --]

These were fixed entries, but specific information had not yet been displayed.

From the Identity Cards of other players, they were from Community 4 and Community 12.

The game venue was divided into several different areas, such as 'Work Area', 'Notary Office', and 'Management Room'.

The edge of the venue was lined with tall glass curtain walls and railings, making the entire venue fully enclosed.

Only near the direction of the large screen was there a separate protruding area blocked by glass railings and special gates, marked with 'Foreign Area'.

Everyone looked towards the large screen unanimously.

Sure enough, after a brief wait, the game instructions appeared on the large screen.

[Hello, welcome to the 'Wealthy Dynasty'.]

[The area you are currently in is a nation where 'Wealthy Conglomerate' and 'Commoners' coexist.]

[Your goal in the game is: before the game ends, ensure that the 'Total Wealth' of this nation, i.e., the total balance of all player accounts remaining within the national area, reaches 500,000 minutes of visa time.]

[This game will run for 20 rounds, with each round lasting 10 minutes.]

[Any violent or illegal behavior during the game is strictly prohibited, and will result in immediate death penalty.]

[At the end of round 20, a settlement will be conducted to verify if the national Total Wealth meets the target.]

[If the target is met: Each player can bring back 50% of the Wealth Value earned in the game as visa time to the community.]

[If the target is not met: Each player can only bring back 10% of the Wealth Value earned in the game as visa time to the community.]

[Penalty rule: If a player's visa time brought back from the game to the community is less than 10,000 minutes, an additional deduction of 50,000 minutes of visa time will occur, with a maximum reduction to a remaining 48 hours.]

This penalty rule made many players frown.

The penalty of deducting 50,000 minutes of visa time, roughly 34 days, is quite severe.

Among those present, there were bound to be players with little visa time left.

Of course, the humane aspect of this game is that players are left with 48 hours of final time, which can be used to persuade the community to urgently pass motions like interest-free loans to save themselves.

But overall, the loss of 50,000 minutes, while not causing those with little time left to die immediately, would plunge them into enormous difficulty.

However, since this is a type of wealth-distribution game, just like how not going to a multiplayer table in 'Blood Poker' incurs penalties, there are ways to avoid this in the game.

Simply ensuring that everyone's Total Wealth reaches 500,000 will suffice.

Though it remains unclear how hard it is to earn money in this game, from the 'can bring back 50%' data, it is assumed that earning should be relatively easy, otherwise, the Imitator wouldn't restrict players to bring back only half.

Considering an average earning of 30,000 per person, 12 people should be able to bring back 360,000, so theoretically, the total wealth should reach 720,000.

Of course, this is just an estimate; whether making money is easy or not will only be known after entering the game.

[Each player will initially receive an electronic Identity Card with three important data fields on it: 'Identity', 'Age', and 'Wealth'.]

[1. Identity]

[Players can assume two identities: 'Wealthy Conglomerate' or 'Commoners'.]

[During the game, four players from the same community will play as the 'Wealthy Family', and the other two communities' eight players will be the 'Civilian Class'.]

[The 'Wealthy Family' will gain a significant advantage in the game.]

[2. Age]

[Each player will receive an initial 'Age'. The 'Age' attribute in the game is divided into four categories: Childhood, Youth, Prime, and Old Age.]

[The corresponding categories are: Childhood (0-19 years), Youth (20-39 years), Prime (40-59 years), Old Age (60-79 years)]

[This game will progress through a total of 20 rounds, each lasting 10 minutes, with each round adding ten years to every player's age.]

[When a player reaches 80 years old, they will die and 'rebirth', resetting to age 0 and entering Childhood.]

[3. Wealth]

['Wealth' is the funding account of players in this game. The account balance will determine your game strategy and final earnings.]

[Now, the initial identity, age, and wealth will be allocated to all players.]

[The community with the least total visa time among the 12 will have priority in becoming the 'Wealthy Family'.]

All players heard a slight notification sound from their Identity Cards.

Lin Sizhi picked up his Identity Card and found that the information had been updated.

[Community 17 - Lin Sizhi]

[Identity: Commoners]

[Age: 0 years (Childhood)]

[Wealth: 1,000 minutes of visa time]

He glanced at another player from Community 12 not far away.

[Community 12 - Fan Zehui]

[Identity: Wealthy Conglomerate (Management)]

[Age: 60 years (Old Age)]

[Wealth: 10,000 minutes of visa time]

"So, Community 12 is the Wealthy Community, while Communities 17 and 4 are the Commoners' Communities."

Lin Sizhi noticed that besides the identity distinction between 'Commoners' and 'Wealthy Conglomerate', there was also a special tag under the identity field: 'Management'.

Clearly, this is related to the game mechanism, though how it functions specifically remains unclear for now.

The four players from Community 12 were visibly pleased because the game rules clearly stated that 'Wealthy Conglomerate' players would have significant advantages in this game.

However, this also confirmed that Community 12 was indeed a rather underwhelming community. After all, according to the rules of this game, the community with the least total visa time among the 12 people would have priority in getting the 'Wealthy Conglomerate' identity.

Referring to the prior death of four players from Community 12 in the 'Matchmaking Game', they took the Wealthy Conglomerate identity rightly.

[Now, please move to the three important facilities in the game: 'Work Area', 'Notary Office', and 'Management Room', to further understand more rules.]
