Lin Xuan Qi gave out a sigh of relief silently.
It went much more smoothly than he had expected and now he only had to make sure they were aware of and understood his decision.
Both of them stood where they were while the sun began to set.
The warm orange glow from the sun reflected upon the surface of the pond, making it golden.
Xue Cong, Yue Jie who was seated inside the pavilion was the first one to see it.
They walked out of the pavilion and pointed at the pond and shouted "Look, Master Lin."
Yue Xing, Liu Shi Shi and Zhi Yong also marveled at the sight.
Lin Xuan Qi gazed upon the pond and at the rest of them.
He felt satisfied with what was in front of him.
All the hard work he had put in was worth it for this moment.
Lee He Song sat inside the pavilion, took out his wine gourd and took a mouthful of the wine inside.
This occasion called for wine and food.
And it would be perfect if his old friend Liu Ju Zheng were with him.
This thought reminded him.
He glanced at Lin Xuan Qi, wanting to request some time off from the mansion to visit Liu Ju Zheng.
Liu Ju Zheng needed essential supplies and identity to sneak out of the city.
He stood up and felt a rush of blood coming up to his head.
Lee He Song quickly tried to calm himself and used his breathing technique to stabilize himself.
Thankfully, it went away after his vision turned blank for a moment.
He sat down again and used his Qi to try and stop what was going on in his body.
After he felt better, he went over to Lin Xuan Qi and asked, "Master Lin, I would need to be out of the mansion tomorrow, to check on Liu Ju Zheng."
Lin Xuan Qi nodded and thought for a moment.
Finally, he whispered to Lee He Song, "Help me inform Liu Ju Zheng about my marriage to his daughter."
Lee He Song gave him a smile and said, "Don't worry, I would inform him even if you hadn't asked.
"He is more than happy to see Yue Jie married to you and have a better life."
Lin Xuan Qi sighed and said, "I hope he can be free soon to attend the wedding ceremony.
"Let me know if you need help.
"I will try my best to help in any way I can.
"After all, he would be my father-in-law soon."
Sigh.
Lee He Song shook his head and gave out a long sigh.
"I know him and he can be stubborn in his own ways.
"He wouldn't want you to risk what you have for his freedom.
"Which is something that I agree with.
"We are old farts waiting to kick the bucket, there's no point for the younger ones to risk it for us...."
Lee He Song said and recalled what happened earlier.
His lifeforce was now on its last legs, and he wasn't sure how long he would be able to be alive and help Lin Xuan Qi.
"Nonsense." Lin Xuan Qi protested what Lee He Song had said.
He glanced at Lee He Song and pondered for a moment.
After a few moments of silence, he said to Lee He Song, "I might be able to figure out a way...a way for us mortals to cultivate..."
"Thanks, Master Lin. I appreciate it." Lee He Song chuckled and patted Lin Xuan Qi on his shoulder.
He thought that Lin Xuan Qi was trying to console him the best he could.
But after living for so many years, he had never heard of such a thing and so he dismissed it as a white lie.
Lin Xuan Qi could only give him a nod for the time being.
He would have to see if Xue Cong and Yue Jie could be able to sense the Five-Element Qi after he was able to get the Five-Element Qi Concentration Pills.
"Master Lin, fish!" Zhi Yong shouted and pointed at the fishing rod that Lin Xuan Qi had plunged onto the ground.
That made him excited.
He ran over and picked up the fishing rod.
"See what I told you." Lin Xuan Qi said proudly while he battled with the fish that had taken the bait.
The fishing rod wasn't as flexible as what he was used to, so he had to let the fish run more freely than he had preferred.
His upper body even went over the pond's surface before he reeled the fishing rod backwards.
Zhi Yong, who was beside him, could only look at him anxiously.
Every time when he saw Lin Xuan Qi's upper body over the water, he reached out his hand, but Lin Xuan Qi's upper body would have already leaned back and pulled the fish towards where they were standing.
Yue Xin also came over and cheered Lin Xuan Qi on.
"Master Lin don't stop...Yes... pull it out.... No... don't pull it out..."
She mumbled with every movement he made.
Xue Cong and Yue Jie frowned when they heard what she was saying.
Lin Xuan Qi couldn't help it and rolled his eyes at her.
And at this moment, he felt the fish going weak, and he pulled back his arms and took a few steps back.
Splash.
The fish was flung up in the air, flying across the red evening sun.
It looked like a painting that signified prosperity with fish sounding like there were leftovers for wealth and everything else.
A good omen it was for Lin Xuan Qi and the others who had witnessed it together.
Flap.
The fish landed on the ground, and it flapped itself trying to break free.
Xue Cong turned over and shouted to one of the servants, "Bring a basket for Master Lin."
The servant girl bowed and ran towards the storage building.
While they waited, Lin Xuan Qi released the fish from the fishhook and held it in his hand.
"Tell Auntie Sue that we are having fish soup tonight." He said with a huge grin on his face.
"Zhi Yong, look!" Yue Xin shouted and pointed at Zhi Yong's fishing rod.
The fishing rod was now bent and the fishing line tensed into a straight line.
A fish had taken the bait.
