Yue Xin shouted excitedly when she saw Lin Xuan Qi get out of the horse carriage and enter the mansion.

She wanted to come forward and greet her future brother-in-law, but he was hijacked by Liu Shi Shi.

Liu Shi Shi leaped down from one of the trees and got next to him.

"You look happy, Master Lin," she said to him with a smile.

Lin Xuan Qi shrugged his shoulders and said, "I might get happier soon."

"Hmph. You don't have to remind me again." Liu Shi Shi said and after a moment of pondering, she gave him a smirk, "Still... Remember that I was first."

Lin Xuan Qi wanted to roll his eyes at her but didn't bother.

It was best to let her indulge in her fantasy.

Yue Xin stood with her hands on her hips, mumbling to herself.

He walked past her, not wanting to engage.

It was better to wait for things to be finalized with Xue Cong and Yue Jie first.

And hopefully by then, Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi would have more or less accepted the reality.

After he entered the main hall and sat down on the chair facing out to the entrance of the main hall, Xue Cong came over and poured him a cup of tea.

Yue Jie rolled her eyes at her and led her into the main hall while they waited for lunch to be ready.

Liu Shi Shi sat by herself alone, observing everyone by the side.

She was still feeling smug at her being the first, not knowing that Lin Xuan Qi already had encounters with the other servant girls.

"Master Lin, there are visitors outside." One of the guards ran into the main hall, bowed at Lin Xuan Qi, and said.

"Who are they?"

"They are Master Sima Ye, Master Sima Long with his wife and a woman whom I've not seen before." The guard replied.

"Quick, let them in." Lin Xuan Qi stood up and straightened his attire.

This was it.

Zhang Jie had promised that she would help arrange for the matchmaker and here they were.

He was happy with the efficiency of Zhang Jie, and of course, Sima Ye and Sima Long.

"Xue Cong, get your parents out here." He turned around and said.

"Are you sure? My parents?"

Master Lin was close to Xue Cong, Yue Jie, Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi, with them spending much more time with him.

Some of them secretly hoped that they had a chance but knew that it was anything but a dream.

Lin Xuan Qi was what everyone would dream of.

Talented, good-looking and most important of all, he wasn't one to go to the brothels and lead a decadent lifestyle.
