"Oh, you should be…Of the man standing behind you!!"
Slash!
A terrifying purple light flashed, instantly severing the head of a Spirit Realm cultivator in the back!
"W-What who!?"
The hooded woman hissed in anger, turning around, high on the cliff, a vague silhouette of a tall man was visible.
BOOM
In her distraction, she forgot who was standing behind her, and as expected, a fist made entirely of ice hit her face!
"Ughh…Kill that bitch!!"
The hooded woman's fury ignited the whole valley.
Twenty-five cultivators of the Peak Spirit Realm exploded their Auras! The frozen valley began to crack.
A monstrous wave of power and suppression surged towards Azaria!
And yet…She stepped forward.
Her artificial ice-arm glistened like a star, and blood dripped from her chin. But her eyes remained cold.
"Glacial Veil"
A large sphere of solid crystalline frost expanded from her body, matching their aura all with her injured body.
"Flood Sever!"
"Blazing Gale!"
"Thunderclap Fist!"
Many elements crashed into her sphere at once. Azaria was pushed a few steps back. Her arm was fractured, along with her wrist.
She gritted her teeth; her body was at its limits.
Above.
The vague silhouette of Rahu finally moved.
He vanished.
A single afterimage of terrifying black lightning remained!
And then…
SPLAT!
Five of the Spirit Realm cultivators blasted into debris, seven of them had their heads severed, and two of their heads caved inside their bodies!
With the swing of his hand, a monstrous pressure spread from his body, blasting the rest of the Spirit cultivators back to their Origin Realm cultivator.
Just like that, he killed nearly half of the Spirit Realm cultivators. The two Origin Realm cultivators gawked at the scene.
He didn't even glance at them. Turning back, he slowly stepped towards the injured Karma. His face betrayed no emotion. Picking her up, he handed the injured feline back to Azaria and sighed.
"Haah, this stupid mutt gives me so much trouble, go. Take her with you and heal her. In that distance, you'll find a cave where my harem is," He said. Despite his words, his hands were gentle as he handed the feline to Azaria.
"Over there, in that direction, you'll find a small cave where my harem is. Go there"
Taking Karma in her arms, Azaria stared at Rahu for a few seconds before nodding her head.
Whoosh!
In an instant, she leapt above the valley and vanished into the winds. She didn't ask why; it wasn't her place to question her master. If he commanded her to leave, then she would leave. Simple as that.
"You! Who are you!?" The hooded woman shouted in rage, and the sphere of ice was still covering the entire valley. Even with their strength, they couldn't break that… at least not in a short amount of time.
"Your Dad"
"Whaa—? Y-You fucker"
She was still injured from the previous attack from Azaria, and seeing his unusual strength, she didn't dare confront him head-on…yet.
"Sadarn! What are you even waiting for!? Go and kill that bastard!" Instead, she turned back and shouted to a man.
The man named Sadarn sighed lazily. He was thin and had an above-average face. He just glanced at Azaria in annoyance.
"Must I really—?" He suddenly bent backward, a blade slicing through the space where he'd been standing a second ago.
"Oops! That was really dangerous!"
"It was, and you won't get lucky again." Saying that, Rahu swung his blade at the nearest Spirit Realm cultivator, slashing his lower body in half.
"Oh~ You're really strong…are you really a Vital Core Realm cultivator?" Sadarn asked curiously, unfazed by the killings.
"No, I'm actually a Soul Tempering Realm cultivator. I just suppressed my cultivation to enter the realm," Rahu smirked, this fool really thought he would buy that cheap psychological trick?
"Woaah, damn, you're cool." Sadarn let out a chuckle as he shrugged off the glaring sarcasm from those words.
Hearing his words, Rahu chuckled, "Say, why did you attack my pet there? It's not good manners, you know?"
"True, I'd rather be at my home sleeping, but you know work is work." Sadarn shrugged before side-stepping, dodging an incoming rock. Sadarn's eyes narrowed ever so slightly. This one…was a bit dangerous.
Not the rock, but inside of it. There was a tiny drop of something… unusual.
"Hmm, I see. No wonder" Seeing this, Rahu nodded his understanding. "You have got some strange ocular powers there."
The duo turned their heads towards Rahu; they felt a shiver down their spines. Sadarn became alert. It would be foolish to continue this conversation with such an…dangerous entity!
Sadarn's pupil trembled, like ripples spreading across still water. And for a heartbeat, the world seemed to slow through his vision, and then, he clicked his tongue.
"...Tch. You noticed"
Rahu smiled, the sharp edge of his blade reflecting the intensity of Sadarn's eyes.
"Heh, I notice everything you know."
Black lightning crackled across his frame, horrifying sounds of electricity spreading across the valley.
Seeing this, the remaining Spirit Realm cultivators flinched. They didn't dare move, not after seeing how easily their fellow cultivators were killed.
Sadarn rolled his shoulders, his irises shimmering. Faint veins of silver spread like a spider web across his scelra.
"Echo Augury. My eyes can detect anything that has a sound wave…before it could even reach me," he said calmly.
"Oh? Such boldness…so you can also see death coming?" Rahu tilted his head.
"No," Sadarn corrected, licking his lips, "I can see yours, if you make the wrong move here."
Rahu laughed out loud.
"Cute"
Sadarn's expression twisted, and he stepped forward. His aura spread like waves; the pressure was enough to flatten a mountain.
The thirty remaining cultivators behind him raised their weapons and summoned their elements.
The hooded woman smirked through her teeth.
"Boy, even if you buy time for that woman. We would eventually find her and take that beast. So, get ready to DIE!"
CRUNCH
The ground trembled!
From beneath the ice, a colossal, pitch-black hand covered in cryptic seals clawed its way out.
"Now this is what I call a challenge!!..." Rahu grinned; his blade vanished. Replaced by a scythe, raising it in the sky, he muttered.
"Divine Sword Arts: [Sword Aura]...!!"
