Infinite Dimension Physique: Rise of The Lustful Devil

Chapter 138: Horrifying Ability

Just as Miranthu was about to answer, a loud explosion echoed across the battlefield.

BOOM!!!!

Her overwhelming pressure on the cultivators vanished instantly. Shocked, Miranthu prepared to invoke her bloodline, but a thick hand suddenly grasped her waist and pulled her back.

"What!? W-Who!?" Miranthu was horrified, after all. With her monstrous senses, even a top-class assassin couldn't escape her detection, but suddenly a hand grabbed her waist out of nowhere.

"Mhm, you did a good job there, my dear."

A deep voice echoed behind her. Hearing that voice, her body shook. Her mind went blank.

Smack!!

A tight slap landed on her ass! "Ouch!!" Miranthu yelped, her mind zapped back, and she hurriedly turned around. When she saw his face…she, for the first time in her long years of existence…blushed.

"R-Rahu!? Is that really you?" Miranthu excitedly asked, her eyes scanning all over his body. Looking for any injuries.

But thankfully, there was not a single scratch on his body; the incredibly pale skin on his body was a concern.

Rahu looked at her in amusement, shaking his head. He looked down on the present cultivators and held Miranthu by her waist by his side.

"Hmm, these will do for now," Rahu spoke, hearing his voice. Miranthu tilted her head in confusion. What was he talking about?

"Rahu! Brother! It's relieving to see you back! And by the way, what happened to your… appearance?" Eryx hurriedly came over and greeted, hiding the shock that this guy had gotten the Inheritance! B-But how was that possible? After all, they had arrived here just a few hours ago. And he was already here looking like this.

"I will explain later, first let me finish one of my most long-awaited works," Rahu said, the smile on his face stretching wide. He let go of Miranthu and focused on the cultivators below.

They all looked at him curiously. After all, he was the man who had released them from that horrifying pressure, pressing down on them for so long.

"Hey!! Buddy, thank you for saving us! We will be on our way now!" one of them shouted from down below, earning a sea of nods. Some even dashed away from the crowd.

"Heh? Weren't you guys here to kill me and claim Silveria? Where's that earlier bravado now? I'm kind of disappointed, you know?"

Rahu shook his head and spoke in a sorrowful voice, as if he was feeling the regret of not ganging up on him and killing him earlier.

The cultivators looked confused, wondering if this bastard had gone insane.

"But no need to worry! You guys would be the first stepping stone of my glorious path! Rejoice, you vermins!!" Rahu spoke, his hands spread wide with a crazy grin on his face. But his words sent a chill down every cultivator's spine.

"Shit! He's crazy! RUN!!"

"Dammit, what kind of monster have we provoked!?"

"NOO!! My wife and children are still waiting for me!"

Shouts of fear and confusion spread across the crowd. The demonic cultivators of Yvaris were gathered at one side, and the Celestial cultivators of Solterra were at the other.

With all the reinforcements and troops they received from backup, the total number rose to one hundred and twenty thousand cultivators!

They were everywhere; it was like a sea of cultivators. The previous Rahu would have thought thrice before going against such an enormous army of cultivators. But, unfortunately for the cultivators present, he was not the 'previous' Rahu.

Rahu smiled and slowly raised his hand; there weren't any particular effects nor any build-up. Even the wind was normal until…

"Infernal Soul Devouring"

As those words left his mouth, the everlasting red sky of the Inheritance realm…Darkened for the first time, pitch-black smoke slowly began gushing out of Rahu's hand, turning into clouds when it arrived outside.

The black clouds slowly began to swell, but they didn't make any noise, nor did they churn. They simply expanded, heavy and oppressive, spreading across the crimson sky like a black stain that couldn't be washed away.

The cultivators below felt it firsthand…it wasn't mere fear. It was much deeper, ancient, and downright horrifying when they gazed at the clouds. Some trembled, and some passed out, while some began to shout in panic.

"Is that… smoke?"

"Some kind of illusion?"

"Relax, it's just intimidation…!!"

The first man dropped mid-sentence; he didn't scream. His knees buckled, and his eyes rolled back as someone had unplugged him from the very world.

Then another.

And another.

"What's wrong with him!?"

"HEY—WAKE UP!"

"Why can't I feel my core!?"

Then the screaming began, and the clouds descended in slow, deliberate waves. Brushing over the sea of cultivators like a tide. Wherever the darkness passed, bodies stiffened. The cultivators froze mid-run, their eyes widening as an invisible force tore through their bodies.

There were no wounds, no explosions of blood. Just mouths opening without any sound echoing, as their very souls were being ripped free.

"No…NO!! WAIT—!"

"My soul!!! Something's pulling—!"

"I can't hold it…!HELP ME—!"

Translucent forms were ripped from bodies in jerking motions, and the screams of the cultivators could be heard miles and miles away…before being swallowed as a whole. Some cultivators began clawing their own chests; others collapsed trying to crawl away, their nails scraping against the cold ground.

A group even tried to flee together, leaping into the sky. But, they didn't make it ten meters; their bodies fell, their souls followed.

"RUN!! SPLIT UP!!"

"DAMMIT, MY TECHNIQUES WON'T ACTIVATE!!"

"WHY CAN'T I FEEL ANYTHING!?"

Celestial cultivators collapsed first, their radiant techniques extinguished. Demoni cultivators followed, their savage auras snuffed out just as easily.

The battlefield transformed into a grotesque still-life of falling bodies, lifeless eyes staring upward as their essence was ripped clean.

Thousands and thousands died in seconds.

Then tens of thousands.

The clouds thickened, pulsing violently as they fed. Each soul devoured made them heavier, denser, and…absolute.

The ground trembled under the collective collapse of one hundred thousand bodies, falling like rain with dull, hollow thuds.

Those who tried to flee were caught mid-air, souls torn from their bodies before they could take a second step. Those who knelt and begged died just as quietly. Those who cursed at Rahu died with their hearts still burning with hatred.

From above, Miranthu took deep breaths repeatedly. Her pupils shrank as she watched the sea of cultivators vanish just like that. Eryx stood there, his legs trembling. His clothes were fully wet, and his whole body was shaking and sweating. The two Ravanas had already passed away when they witnessed this sheer madness.

Rahu's hand remained raised in the air; his expression did not change in the slightest =.

The clouds slowly retracted and began shrinking before entering Rahu's body. The sky regained its crimson touch, as if nothing had happened.

The battlefield below was silent as one hundred and twenty thousand corpses lay scattered…It was a scene straight out of a nightmare.

Their bodies were intact, their souls gone. There were no more cries, begging, or any cursings.

Not even resentment remained; it was all…clean.

"Hmm, this should be enough to get the [Dimensional Veil]," Rahu muttered. He didn't even gaze at the battlefield, just as he was about to turn around. A familiar voice echoed.

[DING!]
