Information to Mastery: Points Store System

Chapter 132: Big Wins

"Just wait and see. The results will be out in a while." Michael did not give a definitive answer, as he also focused on the battle.

With his expert level combat skills, he not only possessed the strength, but the experience as well. Additionally, the experience that he had was one that involved several battles to the death.

Simply put, for several years, he had been fighting different opponents, and each time, his life was at stake.

Of course, the battles were in a simulation that he had received through the system, allowing him to be able to receive those memories, and the combat instinct.

Due to this, watching the battle between Dave and Beetle, it was akin to an adult professional fighter watching a fight between two 3-year-olds.

But even then, it was a little exciting to him, as he could see the possible solutions to each scenario.

At the moment, he was imagining himself to be Beetle. So basically, he was viewing the fight from Beetle's perspective.

He thought about how he could have dodged better, how he would have attacked, where he would have aimed for, what he would have done in a certain situation and so on.

To him, this battle that was quite extended, it would have already ended in just seconds. Of course, that was if Michael did not depend on his current strength.

Otherwise, by depending on his current strength, this battle could end within an instant. All that was required was just a single slap, and Michael would be able to take out his opponent.

The fight in the ring continued without pause. Dave managed to land a punch to Beetle's jaw, the force cracking through his guard, drawing blood.

Beetle grunted but maintained balance, immediately retaliating with a low kick that rocked Dave's knee. The impact slowed Dave for a moment, but he recovered, swinging again with a series of heavy punches.

Beetle avoided the first two, letting the third glance off his guard, and then delivered a spinning kick that caught Dave off balance.

Blood ran from cuts on both fighters, and each movement carried weight. Every strike had to be deliberate.

Dave attempted to corner Beetle against the ropes, swinging with raw power, but Beetle angled out, turning Dave's momentum against him.

He struck again with a rapid jab to the chest and a side kick to the ribs, forcing Dave back. Each exchange left both men winded, but Beetle's timing and precision allowed him to gradually control the pace.

Dave tried a series of heavy hooks and uppercuts, hoping to land a decisive blow, but Beetle moved with incredible timing, slipping punches or partially blocking while finding small openings for counters.

A sharp punch to the side of the head, a quick kick to the midsection, each strike was well-timed, designed to chip away at Dave's balance and resolve, rather than simply inflict damage.

Finally, Beetle feinted high, drawing Dave's guard upward, then struck with a combination: a jab to the jaw, a hook to the ribs, and a spinning kick that hit the chest with enough force to stagger him.

Dave stumbled, trying to recover, but his overextension left him vulnerable. Beetle pressed forward, landing a few more strikes until Dave fell to the canvas.

Breathing heavily while bleeding from multiple cuts, Dave struggled to rise, but the fight was already decided. It seemed that the blows that he had received from Beetle had finally had an impact on him.

From the start, Beetle did not aim to take out Dave in a short time. Instead, he was aiming for a long run, which was why each punch was well calculated.

Most of the times, he usually attacked the same spot several times, making sure that the damage would be sufficient to impact Dave.

In a direct confrontation in terms of strength, Dave had a great advantage. That was something that Beetle knew about, which was why he was trying to avoid directly clashing with Dave.

Thankfully, his speed and agility were quite high, allowing him to be able to dodge most of Dave's attacks. At the same time, his endurance was not to be underestimated either.

Otherwise, considering how frequently he was moving, he would have already collapsed by the time that his attacks finally had an impact on Dave.

Beetle remained on his feet, while gazing at Dave. He did not seem to have any intention of attacking Dave at all. That was of course unless Dave somehow stood up.

As the battle came to an end, the reaction of the spectators was quite a spectacle to watch.

When Dave finally collapsed, the arena went silent for a heartbeat, disbelief hanging over the majority of the crowd. Most of the spectators had come to see the undefeated champion assert his dominance, confident in his raw power and perfect record.

But now, with the results out, their cheers faltered into stunned murmurs as they realized the outcome in the ring, being a contradiction to their expectations.

Then, from the corner of the stands where Beetle's supporters had gathered, an eruption of cheers broke out, loud and chaotic. They leapt to their feet, shouting his name, and pumping fists in triumph.

Even though they had believed in him, seeing the underdog topple the unbeaten fighter left them breathless with excitement.

For some of the spectators who were supporting Beetle, they did not believe that he would win. After all, he had already lost before when the two of them clashed.

Additionally, with Dave's record being unmatched, it was inevitable that most people would believe that Dave would not lose.

Shock and awe rippled through the rest of the arena. Some of Dave's fans shook their heads, mouths open, unable to process the defeat, while others clapped slowly, a reluctant acknowledgment of Beetle's skill.

The unexpected victory sent waves of chatter and shouting through the stands, fans debating the fight, praising Beetle's timing, precision, and intelligence, and replaying each decisive strike in their minds.

But of course, while part of the crowd was celebrating, there was quite a huge part of the crowd that was cursing, including some of Beetle's fans.

Some of the fans thought that Beetle did not have a chance of winning. So, despite supporting him, they wanted to make money. And, the odds that Dave was given were not low, as they were as high as 1.6.

Betting $1,000 would return $1,600. That was something that had attracted many people to bet for Dave. So, with Dave ending up defeated, it was not just his fans that were disappointed, but those that had placed bets were also left infuriated.

For some of them, they thought that this was a sure win. So, they had gone all in. Thus, with Dave losing the battle, they ended up losing all their savings.

Well, there were even a lot of crazy people who wanted to make it big from this. After all, gaining an extra 60% of what they had, especially if there was a very high probability, how could they not be tempted?

So, they had selected very high stakes, with some of them even placing multiple bets. In the end, the money that they were supposed to pay before leaving was unimaginably high.

It seemed that they would have to borrow loans or sell some of their assets in order to be able to pay what was required of them.

Just like those who were Beetle's fans, Alex and few others were on their feet, shouting in excitement.

Why was that? It was simply because they had won. The bet that they had placed, it had gone through.

The moment that beetle won, they received the results of the bet that they had placed on the tablets.

While Alex, Raymond, Dalton and the others were happy, they felt quite regretful. If they had decided to go all out, borrowing money from their siblings back at home, they would have been able to win even bigger.

The regret was higher for those that did not place a bet at all. Even those who played safe, using only a small part of the money that they had, placing the bet, just to see if what Michael had said was going to be true, had regrets.

They placed the bets just to give Michael a chance to show off. At least, as long as they did not affect his pride, they believed that he would not target them at all.

But now, they were filled with endless regrets. If only they had known, they would not have hesitated, and would have gone all out. By now, they would have been 60 times richer.

After celebrating for a while, Alex finally sat down. He looked at Michael who seemed to be quite calm, and was left speechless.

He had seen that Michael had placed a bet worth $10 million. Since he had won, it implied that he had won at least $690 million!

With him getting so much money, why was he not even reacting? Was this amount too small for him to be happy about it?

He himself had only won slightly over $472 million, and was so much thrilled. But now, looking at someone who had won more than himself, being so calm, he could not help but feel embarrassed.

With him being so jubilant, did he not look like some country bumpkin, who had never seen so much money in his life?

He was not the only one, as the others also noticed Michael's reaction, as they finally began calming down.

They were surprised by Michael's reaction, but even then, they began thanking him.

"You have made me rich. This time, I am going to give you 50% of my earnings." Alex decisively said.
