Chapter 86: Visiting Sky Technologies

The location of the main building of Sky Technologies was in the CBD of Brenton City. On each side of the building were commercial buildings, housing different companies.

To the front, it was the biggest mall present in the city, Anvil Plaza. As for the back of the building, it was mainly several high-rise office buildings.

As compared to the buildings around, the building in which Sky Technologies was located in was not the tallest. But even then, its grandeur could not be diminished by the surrounding buildings.

Additionally, it could be said that the location of this company was one of the most prosperous parts within the city.

As for the prices, in order to be able to afford an office space in the commercial buildings around, one would have to spend a fortune.

As he arrived at the CBD, Michael marveled at the outlook of the building. And as he looked at it, he felt that it was unbelievable.

This building, one that stood out among many, it was his. Who could tell that he, Michael, a person who had been struggling just a little over one month ago, was actually the owner of the biggest technology company in the eastern province?

Despite what he was thinking, he drove the car to the underground parking. He could have parked the car behind the building, in the open parking space, but he decided against it.

After all, the Koenigsegg Regera was just too eye-catching. Wherever it went, even if people did not recognize it, they were still amazed by the way that it looked.

Michael had already began getting used to attracting attention whenever he went out, but was not willing to find himself in a situation where many people were surrounding his car.

The security guards that were in charge of the underground parking lot did not stop him from entering. They could tell, the status that the owner of this car had was not simple.

So, they did not try to cause trouble for Michael, and allowed him into the building. But, as soon as Michael stepped out of the car, one of the security guards approached him.

"Excuse me sir, may I know the reason of your visit here today?" The security guard asked.

In actual sense, he was quite surprised by how young Michael looked. Even though he had already anticipated that the person inside the car was young, he had not expected him to be this young.

Additionally, if it had been before, he really would not have come to ask such a question. After all, most of the young masters within the city had a temper of their own. So, if he did something like this, he might end up suffering.

But, according to the higher-ups of the company, it seemed that the new chairman of the company was coming over.

So, no matter what, they could not allow anything to go wrong. If this person ended up causing trouble in the company, they would be the first ones to be blamed, if they had allowed him in.

"I'm here for a simple visit. There is no need to worry." Michael responded casually.

"Okay, sir. But, I would like to request you to first head to the reception area, before going anywhere else." The security guard responded.

"Sure, no problem." Michael responded.

This was his first visit here, and he was here to observe how things worked. So, paying a visit to the reception area was a must.

As for the attitude displayed by this security guard, it was not bad. But still, it seemed that they needed to work a little more on how easily they had allowed him in.

In the future, this was going to be a bigger company, a giant in the technology industry. They could not allow people to easily enter into the company's main building, without first verifying their identity.

Michael though did not blame the security guards. The money that they were paid, it was definitely not enough for them to risk their future for the company, ending up offending some 'big shots'.

While thinking about the changes that he could make on this issue, even considering bringing in some bio humans, Michael quickly got into the elevator, and headed straight to the ground floor.

As he walked out of the elevator, he stepped into the lobby area of the building.

The lobby was spacious and open, with polished stone floors. A large company logo hung behind the reception desk, softly illuminated.

There were comfortable seating areas on both sides, arranged in small clusters for visitors and employees. Clear glass partitions separated the waiting area from the elevator halls, and indoor plants added a touch of green to the otherwise clean, metallic palette.

As he observed everything around, Michael realized that it seemed that there was some kind of tension and nervousness in the air.

Most probably, these people had already been informed about his visit, and so, they were acting like this.

Michael took out his phone, intending to contact Martin, to inform him of his arrival. But unexpectedly, at this moment, he was attracted by a group of people that were approaching.

This group of people, all dressed in high end official suits, carried an air of authority around them. That was especially for the man that was leading them.

Looking at him, Michael immediately recognized him and most of the people following behind him.

When he acquired the information about this company, of course, he had already checked up on the higher-ups of the company as well.

For that reason, he was able to easily recognize Martin, and the other top level management staff of the company.

Martin and the group, just as they appeared in the lobby, they noticed Michael who was standing in front of the elevator.

Martin was slightly surprised, but managed to regain his composure, before he led the entourage towards Michael.

The movements of the company's executives caught the attention of everyone in the lobby. They all looked curiously, wanting to see what they were planning to do.

And when they saw them heading for the elevator, most of them thought that they were going to the underground parking lot.

For the employees within the building, they had already received a notification that the chairperson of the company was coming over.

So, for most of them, they thought that most probably, this group was going to receive the chairperson.

But unexpectedly, the group stopped just in front of the young man who was standing in front of the elevator.

This young man, in terms of appearance, he was just slightly handsome. It was just that, there was a charm about him, something that made most of them longer their gazes on him for an extended period, whenever they met.

"Chairman, welcome to the company." Martin stated as he stretched his hand towards Michael, for a handshake.

Michael was slightly surprised, as he had not anticipated that Martin would be able to recognize him. After all, apart from communicating on the phone, they had never met before. Maybe all of this was the arrangement made by the system?

Despite what he was thinking, he still shook hands with Martin, as he nodded.

"Please allow me to introduce you to the company executives. This one here is..." Martin then went ahead and introduced the group that was following behind him, one after the other.

Michael shook hands with each one of them, even though he already knew them. After the introductions were out of the way, Martin spoke, "Please allow me to show you around. Or, would you like to directly go to the office?"

Michael thought about it, and in the end, he decided to directly head to the office. Previously, he wanted to inform Martin of his arrival, then begin moving around, to observe.

But now that attention was already drawn towards him, some people might behave just because he was around. So, it seemed that he would have to look for another opportunity in order to inspect the company.

"Let's go to the office first." Michael responded.

The group then headed straight for the elevator, heading straight to the top floor of the building.

The top floor of the building was where the chairman's office was located.

The chairperson's office dominated the entire eastern wing of the 20th floor.

From the moment Michael stepped inside, the first thing that I talked to his attention was the sweeping, floor-to-ceiling window wall, curving gently along the edge of the room.

It offered a panoramic view of the skyline towers rising like glass monoliths, and the main highway through the district.

The office's interior carried its own sense of restrained luxury. The floor was laid with polished dark stone, reflecting the soft glow of the indirect ceiling lights.

A vast executive desk made of deep walnut wood sat near the center, its surface immaculate aside from a tablet dock, a handcrafted pen set, and a crystal-like award encased in a slim frame.

Behind the desk stood a custom-built shelving structure of black metal and glass, displaying historical prototypes, limited-edition tech pieces, and a few personal items.

A lounge area extended along the right side, furnished with plush leather sofas that formed a semi-circle around a low table of smoked glass.

At the far end of the room, a small private bar occupied a recessed corner, stocked with rare drinks, crafted teas, and a temperature-controlled cabinet for specialty blends favored by the chairperson.

Toward the back of the office, a doorway blended into the wall's design, opening only through biometric recognition.
