Brad sat down with a determined expression on his face, in front of him were 5 different footage being sent from 5 different drones.

He was now the one in charge of surveillance.

The moment Ghostwire left the military base, he took over.

There were originally just 2 drones outside Community G, with one of them right at the battlefield where the crew had the showdown against Parasite and the Ascended of the Zmer gang.

The other stayed behind after discovering the secret entrance to the Zmer gang's underground bunker.

The remaining 3 were in Community G, observing different battles across the community that already mostly ended in the community's victory.

But when Ghostwire led the mob out, Brad escorted them with 1 of the 3 drones. Ghostwire had a general idea of the direction leading to both the secret underground bunker of the Zmer gang and the main battlefield.

But still, considering how big the wasteland was and how easily it was to get lost, Brad sent one of the drones ahead of the mob, directing them to locate the secret entrance to the underground bunker.

When they located it, the mob instantly kicked up a storm as they invaded the underground bunker and clashed with the thugs of the Zmer gang that were stationed inside.

Ghostwire, Gary, and Mary didn't stay with the mob though.

Instead, after leading the mob here, the 3 of them continued their journey, riding at top speed towards the direction of the main battlefield.

And finally, after almost two dozen minutes on the road, they arrived.

Brad now watched two different battles, the battle in the secret underground bunker of the Zmer gang and the main battle.

The loud sound of engine bikes meant a change of tides once again.

At first, it was just Talia's crew against the E Rank A.I Construct and his mundane subordinates.

Then, it was easy. Then, they had the advantage until reinforcement came.

Parasite's arrival changed the battle situation completely, turning the tides and they were forced to fight a losing battle right until Leon pulled them into chaos where Rex pulled out a clutch moment.

The battle situation changed again, becoming even, but now, once again, at 7:57am, the tides once again turned.

Having watched the battle from the very beginning, Ghostwire stole a clue from Leon's style as he removed both hands from the bike, leaving it to continue forward as he equipped his Rifle.

He switched the regulator on the Rifle, shifting it to the second slot with the image of a human brain, and then he took careful aim.

Then he pulled the trigger.

Ghostwire's neon green ADE flared as an illusory dark green bullet rushed out of the Rifle's muzzle, shooting towards Parasite at supersonic speed!

Parasite couldn't react, it hit him square on the back of his head and instantly, his brain seemed to explode.

BUZZ!

Parasite experienced a migraine as more blood flowed from his nose; he gritted his teeth and cursed. "F*cking NetRunners!" He snarled as he picked up his Zweihander and cut it 360 in a wide sweeping slash.

Talia and Brick were forced back but Ghostwire pulled the trigger again.

Parasite was about to duck to dodge when he felt another familiar impact hit him with force.

Data Lash!

"F*ck!" He cursed as the ghost bullet hit him again on the back of his head.

The double-layered mental attack left him feeling like his brain was filled with mercury.

While riding for over a dozen minutes on the road, Ghostwire was kept in the dark since he was no longer in charge of surveillance, but thankfully he had a stand-in. Even if Brad still held a grudge due to what he did, the new guy didn't show it as he did his job faithfully once Ghostwire left.

Brad kept him up to date about the situation on the main battlefield.

Brad was also the one who told him to focus on helping Talia and Brick, and he also gave a suggestion for who Gary and Mary to attack.

While Ghostwire attacked Parasite, turning it into a 3v1, Gary and Mary accelerated past him and straight towards different targets in Cain and Swain.

Gary and Mary were not like Leon, Rex, or Kain, or even Talia or Ghostwire, both were Ascended of a Class that were built entirely for war.

Both were Cyber Gladiators.

Gary's brown eyes gleamed as once he closed the distance, he jumped down right in front of the enemy Cyber Gladiator.

He calmly unsheathed the two Battle Axe that were strapped to the side of his belt, then he pounced even as purple ADE flared around him, aggressively augmenting his strength and speed.

Cain already saw him approaching since.

Though he grimaced, he didn't hesitate to respond in kind with a cold look on his face as he swung his Spear.

Dust surged as Gary and Alexander Cain rolled into the distance, kickstarting an entirely new battle of Cyber Gladiators.

And suddenly, Rex and Kain were free after dozens of minutes of teetering on the edge of an abyss.

The battle didn't stop around them though.

While her husband took on the enemy Cyber Gladiator, Mary charged towards Swain with her patched-up bike.

She revved the bike, raising the front tires up as she descended on the enemy Gene Augur.

Bio-Pulse!

Swain swung at the bike with his large War Hammer, squashing it with a powerful blow, but by then the Cyber Gladiator already slipped out of it as he suddenly felt his hair stand on end.

Swain trusted his instincts and rolled backward but the fiery woman's daggers still cut a thin line through his back.

He hissed as the pain finally registered to his brain.

Before he could react to the new threat, Daren slammed his right gauntlet into his left ribs, making the Gene Augur stagger in pain before rolling away.

Daren's eyes gleamed.

While he fought against Swain, he gave his all to kill the enemy Ascended since he knew that his crewmates needed reinforcement but killing a Gene Augur was easier said than done.

This was why once he saw the familiar face arrive and join the battle, he hesitated. 'What should I do?'

Even with Mary's help, Daren's combat instincts told him that killing this Gene Augur would still take a lot of time, time that he wasn't sure he and Talia still had in them.

This was why he turned instead of helping Mary as he charged towards the main battlefield where Talia, Brick, and now Ghostwire fought against Parasite.

With Overheat Drive, Daren's strength doubled as his eyes narrowed.

He didn't blindly charge in, he charged in from Parasite's blindspot and while the Warlord was overwhelmed and distracted by the attacks from his other enemies, he charged a devastating back punch that connected with his spine.

Daren's devastating punch with the VX-09 Emberfist gauntlet directly fractured Parasite's spine!

"Ugh!" The Warlord grunted and coughed blood as he lost control of his body, but then…

Cell Repair!

His orange ADE flared around his body as his spine rapidly healed.

In that moment when he lost control of his body, Daren, Talia, Brick, and even Ghostwire attacked him with even more attacks, dealing devastating damage within seconds and yet, Parasite didn't die.

His body was visibly healing!

This was the horror of facing an E Rank Gene Augur in battle.

He smiled and laughed maniacally through the pain. "Haha, hahaha, hahahaha… muahahahahaha!"

"C'mon motherf*ckers!"

"Come let me show you the might of a Neo Gene Augur!"

"Hahaha, you think you can kill me? B*tch, kill me if you can!"

Despite his words, neither Talia nor the others replied. They were locked in, focused on dodging his massive Zweihander and dealing as much damage that they could every second.

Bam… bam… bam…

Parasite started being ragdolled, and yet he refused to fall.

His regeneration kept up.

His body was ravaged, his organs were attacked and destroyed over and over again, and yet, this tank of a Geneform refused to die.

With Talia, Ghostwire, Daren, and Brick now fighting Parasite in a 4v1, with Gary locking down Cain while Mary locked down Swain, the 3 Mechanists became free to gang up on the last enemy Ascended, Cell in a 3v1.

Theirs was a battle of gun and bullets and the Flux Crystal Spear.

Leon kept on holding Cell back with the Flux Crystal Spear while Kain retrieved Leon's Air Gun Rifle, battering the Gene Augur with deadly projectiles from a distance.

Rex used this opportunity to retrieve the ADE Nullification Shackles.

The chains and cuffs were still hot from the explosion a few minutes ago, but they were cool enough for Rex to bear the temperature now without being burned.

He didn't use the chains but the mere threat from it kept Cell apprehensive and passive as he focused on defending against the onslaught of attacks.

Now, it was no longer Talia and her companions who were the desperate ones fighting for their lives, now it was Parasite and his subordinates.

Cell suffered injuries every second against the trio of Mechanists.

Gary fought evenly against Alexander Cain.

Mary dominated Swain in battle but she could not kill him immediately.

On the last battlefield, Parasite was absolutely being ragdolled as he faced an onslaught of 4 powerful Ascended led by an E Rank.

Parasite bled from all his orifices.

Around him was a sea of blood, his own blood as he bled non-stop. His handsome face was cut and marred with new scars, his muscles and bones were ruptured and broken, damaged over and over again.

Yet, he kept on regenerating.

Yet, he kept on swinging that Zweihander with the single-minded determination of a man who had nothing to lose.

"Hahahahahaha…!" He laughed like a mad man with bloodied lips and teeth.

"F*cking b*tches, kill me if you can!" He taunted even as he was ragdolled.

"Me? Fear? Hehe, not even if your f*cking dreams!"

"I am fearless!"

"I am Parasite, Warlord of Community G, and no one can kill me!"

A devastating liver kick made him hunch over in pain as his liver directly ruptured and exploded from the pressure.

He coughed blood, but in the next moment, a new liver was in its place functioning as perfectly as the original.

He coughed, wheezed, then he cackled again as he straightened up and picked up his Zweihander.

But this time, his movements were slower, weaker, and more lethargic.

It may seem like he could regenerate endlessly, and since he literally stored ADE in his blood, he had such a stockpile of it to not worry about running out of ADE in this battle even if it continued for the next 3 days!

Yet, the fatigue was mounting, the continuous non-stop damage was slowing him down, weakening him with each subsequent regeneration.

And worst of them all were the mental attacks.

Led by an E Rank NetRunner, his brain increasingly felt like it was filled with lead as he suffered attack after attack at his psyche.

In a way, NetRunners were also the counter-class to Gene Augurs.

'Ah, I hate NetRunners'. He thought hatefully but outwardly he still maintained the bravado of Parasite, the Warlord who never showed fear.

He laughed, but inside, he was dying.

His body regenerated, but inside, the damage was mounting.

For 11 minutes, Parasite endured the non-stop onslaught of 4 Ascended!

For 11 minutes, he refused to succumb.

For 11 minutes, he fought valiantly without fear.

Yet, at some point, with his body weakening with each subsequent regeneration, the damage per second started exceeding his regeneration speed.

He noticed, yet he didn't stop it, he didn't try to run.

He maintained the bravado of Parasite, the Warlord who never showed fear.

Then suddenly…

Talia's plasma blade severed Parasite's head!

Having been observing and noting the combat patterns and preferences of the Gene Augur for minutes, Talia have been orchestrating the past few minutes all to lead to this moment so she could behead him in one sudden devastating blow.

She was forced to fear the regenerative powers of an E Rank Gene Augur today but she didn't believe that Parasite could recover from losing his head, and she was right.

Parasite didn't see it coming, he couldn't react as his head was severed.

The head is not an organ, it is not something that can be regenerated by an E Rank Gene Augur.

8:08am.

Talia's plasma blade severed Parasite's head and took his life.

Parasite was killed, but he didn't die.
