Jobless Transmigration: I'm the only one who loves monsters.

Chapter 76: An Intervention.

' I need to get her grip off me! But how can I do that, she's a lot stronger than me!' Lucius felt his consciousness begins to sway, signaling that he was almost out of time.

" Please... Just let go already." He managed to force out through gritted teeth.

" YOU CAN SEE ME!!!" the female ghost replied, looking even more hysterical

" Yes I can see you! But I might not be able to for much longer! Just let me go already!" He yelled at her but his voice came out in chocked cracks.

' How on earth should I deal with her!'

' At this rate I'm going to end up dead!'

Lucius soon saw his bedroom ceiling begin to spin. But just as he was about to lose hope, he came to realize one thing.

' Wait... I can touch her?' His eyes slowly widened with realization.

' I might not be able to force away her grip but at least I can still.'

Lucius's eyes stiffened and he let go of the female ghosts arms, her lips curled upwards even more when she saw this but she stiffened the next moment when he stabbed both his thumbs into her two eyes.

" EEEEKKKK!!!!" The female ghost let out a shrill cry, clutching at her bleeding eye sockets.

Lucius didn't hesitate to take the opportunity, he rolled off the bed, putting some distance between him and the female ghost.

' Think think, how should I get rid of her!' Lucius's mind spun faster than it had ever done so before, his eyes roaming around his room as if seeking for some form of enlightenment.

" Traitor! Traitor! Traitor!!!!"

Alas, the female ghost didn't give him much time, she hovered above the bed before shooting towards Lucius.

Lucius's eyes trembled when she phased into his body.

" ARCK!" Lucius dropped to his knees the next moment, throbbing blue veins emerged all over his body.

He tried to get up yet his body felt stiff, as if something foreign was stopping him from moving.

TRAITOR!!

YOU TRAITOR!!!

HOW DARE YOU BETRAY ME!!!

YOU SAID YOU COULD SEE ME!!!!

HOW DARE YOU BETRAY ME!!!

TRAITOR!!!

TRAITOR!!!!

TRAITOR!!!!!

The female ghosts voice continued to hammer against his eardrums, driving Lucius insane.

' F*cking crazy bitch! Get out of my body!!!' Lucius eyes turned blood shot, he tried to move his body, even as his blood vessels were on the brink of bursting, he gritted his teeth and slowly but surely, got back on his feet.

TRAITOR!!!

TRAITOR!!!!

TRAITOR!!!!!

TRAI鈥

Lucius became puzzled all of a sudden when the female ghosts shrill cries suddenly vanished.

The abrupt disappearance left him feeling something strange had happened.

ARRRGHH!!!!

But the next moment, something shot out from his body, it was the female ghost, only she looked completely different, mortified to be exact.

Her eyes continuously cried out blood while she used her finger nails to claw at her skin, leaving horrifying gashes on her body.

' What's going on?!' Lucius didn't even take the time to celebrate getting his body back, instead his was dumbfounded by the unexpected twist of fate.

IT HURTS!!!

IT HURTS!!!!

IT HURTS!!!!!

The female ghost seemed to have entered a maddened frenzy, her form rapidly flew around his room, screaming and crying out in pain as she continued to disfigure her own body, until eventually, her form shot into a cabinet within Lucius's room.

Feeling anxious, he rushed over and opened the cabinet. He saw one of his jewelry, an amulet, constantly trembling on its own.

The amulet continued to tremble but with time, the trembling began to decrease until eventually it stopped.

Lucius cautiously picked up the amulet and stared at it.

He saw that it was emitting a black energy, though faint, which meant that the female ghost seemed to have survived somehow but, she was now taking shelter within his amulet.

Lucius let out a deep breath, he made his way to his bed before slumping back first onto it, completely drained.

He glanced at his chest where the tattoo supposedly was and felt that this Grimoire really might be the death of him if he wasn't careful.

Fortunately, he seemed to have gotten lucky, if the female ghost hadn't been forced out of his body back then, he wasn't sure what fate would've befallen him.

He blinked his eyes, before reaching to touch his eyelids.

' This new ability is far dangerous than I bargained for... If only there was a way to turn it off鈥' Lucius stiffened the next moment when his room suddenly returned to its original colour.

He tried thinking of how they just used to look and he was able to perceive the strange worlds again but with another thought, everything returned to normal.

SMACK!

A crisp sound was heard when Lucius facepalmed, to think that he could've simply avoided this whole incident if he had just thought to turn of this new ability of his.

" Young master, your water is here." Su entered his room at that moment, with a tray holding a glass of water in hand. Alongside the glass of water was a glass jug.

' Su, right on time.' Lucius groaned, getting up from his bed and walking up to Su before taking the glass of water from the tray.

After downing down the entire glass, he still didn't feel satisfied and poured himself a few more glasses, only then was Lucius's thirst quenched.

" Thank you, Su." Lucius managed to say, fortunately for him, this bodies characteristics of maintaining a calm composure came into play at this moment.

" Did your test work out as you planned young master?" Su asked, clearly curious.

Lucius picked up the amulet around his neck, staring at it for a moment. " Well... More or less." He said with a wary smile.

" I'm glad." She said with a light smile on her face.

Lucius froze for a moment, completely taken aback, his hands unconsciously reached towards her face.

" Y-Young master?" Su stuttered, unconsciously taking a step back.

Seeing her reaction, Lucius snapped out of his stupor. " Forgive me." He said, taking back his hand. " I just couldn't help myself. You look even more beautiful when you smile." He muttered awkwardly.

A light blush bloomed on her face, Su stiffened from his remark but quickly calmed down right after.

" Young master, I think it's best you also know that Lady Hana has told me to inform you that she'll be arriving at your room shortly."

' Mother?' Lucius paused before a light smirk emerged on his lips.

' It seems she couldn't contain her curiosity for as long as I expected.'

' Looks like one more good thing might happen today, which is far more quicker than I expected.' Lucius chuckled softly.

*******

' Well isn't this a bit of a surprise.' Lucius stared at the guests who'd so graciously decided to bless his room with their presence. The people in question where non other than his mother, Hana, his little sister, lily and his younger brother, lavender. All three present and accounted for.

' Didn't really expect all three of them to come visit me at once.' Lucius sighed, he expected them to be curious but it seemed he underestimated how much the three of them seemed to care about him, well it was either that or maybe his mother might've played a hand in it.

" Mother, is something the matter, why do you all of you look so worried."

" Lucius..." Hana muttered before letting out a sigh. She made her way to his bed before sitting on it's edge next to him.

" Son, is there something you're not telling me."

' Well there's a lot but it'd be best if I didn't let her know that.'

" Like what?" Lucius blinked, looking oblivious to her intentions.

" Big brother, there's no reason to hide it!" Lily spoke up, glaring at her brother, yet there was an anxious look in her eyes.

" Your actions at breakfast today are already more than enough for a tell, if there's really something bordering you, why not tell us so that we can help."

" But I'm completely fine, I don't understand. Did I come off as not before?"

" Even your lies have gotten worse big brother... It's obvious your trying to hide something from us." Lavender clicked his tongue with displeasure, but more of hurt, his older brother might've been a cold and distant person but he still loved him because even then, he always tried his best to play the part of an older brother to him and Lily, knowing that there was really something troubling him to the point of forcing this sudden unnatural change on him obviously had him worried as well.

Facing all three of them, Lucius pursed his lips, a stiff smile on his face. " I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about."

" Son...?" Mumbled Lady Hana, her expression faltering.

" You're not under some kind of enchantment are you?"

' What?' Lucius stiffened, not expecting them to come to such a theory.

His reaction caused the expressions of his siblings and mother to darken.

" Who is it..." His mother muttered coldly. " Who did such a thing to you."

" Is it that personal maid of your's"
