Jobless Transmigration: I'm the only one who loves monsters.

Chapter 79: Women....

' She's got quite an appetite, I'll give her that. But maybe it's best she takes it easy.' Lucius said to himself, recalling the image of a certain beautiful diva of a woman. ' If something were to happen to her, I'm sure she wouldn't let me off no matter what.' Lucius let out a sigh.

" Is something wrong young master?" Su asked, her sharp senses were able to pick up on his actions.

" No, nothing at all." Lucius waved his hands in dismissal but he realized that wouldn't be enough to dissuade her so he added. " I guess I am a bit fatigued from all that reading earlier."

" Oh... I see, Please forgive my misconception then." Su bowed lightly.

' I had no idea the young master had gotten tired.' Su thought to herself. ' I'll have to remind him in time the next instance he visits the library to read in moderation less he hurt himself.'

" So this is where you were." An unexpected voice, drew the attention of the three seated in the patio.

Lucius shifted his gaze from Su, onto the new arrivals who'd graced him with their presence.

' Lily and...' Lucius paused for a moment on seeing the second figure, it took a moment to recall ago she was from his memories.

" What do the both of you think you're doing." Lily frowned when she saw the help seating at the same place with her older brother.

" Young m-miss" Su trembled when faced with Lily's unwelcoming stare.

" Are you trying to get punished!" Lily clicked her tongue in dissatisfaction.

' The nerve of this girl! To think that she now dares to seat at the same table as her master! How dare she disregard my brother like such.' Lily clenched her fist's at her side's, her shoulder trembling slightly.

"Get off those seats right this instant鈥"

" Lily! Condone yourself...." A simple sentence from Lucius was enough to make Lily turn silent, her gaze lowering till it reached the floor.

" Have you really grown this much that you now disregard me as a whole?" Lucius stared at his sister in silence, yet to lily, that silent stare began to put some pressure on her.

" O-Of course not brother I was just鈥" Lily stuttered, her lips trembling slightly.

" I believe that your sister was only acting with your best interest at heart, Lucius." Camila intervened, placing both hands on her friends shoulders to calm her down.

' I don't understand what Lily meant by changed... He's still as cold as ever.' Camila pursed her lips, yet although she called him cold, there was still a faint hint of longing in her eyes when she stared at him.

" If the both of you must know, these two are here on my own orders, I had them share a meal with me... Is there anything wrong with that."Lucius massaged his temple, looking unpleased with their interruption.

' Fortunately, the little glutton wasn't bothered by this.' Lucius smiled inwardly when he stole a side glance at Emily and saw that she was still enjoying herself as prior.

" Mr. These are really good." Emily finally spoke up, her eyes sparkling like diamonds. " Here, try some already." She picked up a piece of cake with a fork and handed it to him.

Both Lily and Camila had their mouths slightly agape when they saw him eat what she offered him.

' It really is superb. One of these days, I'll have to thank the kitchen staffs in person.' Lucius's lips curled upwards to reveal a warm smile, one both Lily and Camila also found shocking.

" Thank you Emily." Lucius patted the little one on the head before glancing at the silent Su, who was still staring at the two women who'd intruded on their meal.

" Su, why aren't you eating."

" Well... Young master, I..." Su's eyes were filled with worry as well as a hint of fear, she could still very much feel the unfriendly stare from Lily and Camila.

" You aren't planning on having this meal waste away, are you." Lucius cut her off before she could make any proper attempts at denying him.

" Is there something the both of you need..." Lucius glanced back at his sister and her friend.

Lily frowned, clearly his sudden change of tone wasn't something she found pleasing.

" Would it be ok, if we joined you." Camila spoke up, using the opportunity to try and diffuse the situation.

" I'm afraid I only made plans for three..."

" But two more surely wouldn't ruin the mood, right." Camila patted Su on the shoulder, Su's eyes lowered right after. " Yes, you're absolutely right Lady Camila."

" As you can see, your guest isn't against it. I'm sure you wouldn't mind having a proper lady like myself accompany you. Would you, Lucius."

" I'm sorry, but I don't recall ever giving you the option to address me so directly, for a proper Lady, it seems you're a bit lacking in social etiquette."

Camila froze at his remark, while lily's eyes widened slightly.

" Hahahaha, I see, then please forgive me. I was unaware that young master Lucius still thinks so cautiously of me."

" Please don't misunderstand... I have no reason to be cautious of you, I just saw it fit to clear up such a clear misunderstanding."

" To be cautious of someone, is to view them as a threat. And you my dear, are no threat."

" Or are you trying to say that you are?"

" I had no idea young master Lucius, loved to joke. Of course I'd never try to harm you in anyway." Camila said, grabbing Lily before the both of them took a seat at the patio.

" If I did such a thing, what would my dear friend think of me." She continued.

" I'm glad you think that."

" Well, please, be my guest. Dig in." Lucius smiled amicably, gesturing towards the spread on the table, or what was left of it thanks to Emily's seemingly bottomless stomach. " I'm sure you must be famished since you've clear come all the way here just to join us."

" Hahaha, I'm afraid young master is confused. I did no such thing." Camila replied, a soft laugh escaping her lips. " I simply came here to see you once again since it's been so long."

" You don't say, well I must add, I'm honored." Lucius thanked Camila, looking appreciative. " I had no idea one needed to observe another for so long to decipher their health status. I really I'm thankful for your genuine care and thoughtfulness."

Camila's hand which were about to grab a fork, stiffened at this point yet she still held the same poised, graceful and amicable look on her face.

Camila and Lily spent some more time at the patio with them before Camila brought up the fact that it was getting late and that she needed to leave.

Lucius watched them go, waving with a smile across his face, yet once they vanished from his sight, the look on his face took an irritated turn.

' Camila....' Lucius felt the urge to gnash his teeth. Back when he recalled who she was, he was wondering why his past self seemed to have always avoided her, now he had his reason.

' That woman is so damn persistent!' Lucius yelled in his head, after trying so much to hint at her to leave, that her presence wasn't welcomed, she still ended up staying for so long.

' Just how thick is her skin for her to stomach so much, and what's the reason she seems so he'll bent on gaining my attention.' Lucius had met a lot of people since his 3 transmigrations but not one like her, it was like.

' She's obsessed with me...' An unwelcomed chill went down his spine at such a thought.

" Su, dear, can you take Emily back to Mr. Freeman, I'm sure she must be tired after eating so much." Lucius stared at Emily who was slumped over the table, her mouth covered in frosting and caramel.

" As you wish young master." Su nodded, she got up and gently placed Emily within her arms before leaving with her.

Seeing her departing back view, Lucius couldn't help but sense a hint of disappointment in her.

It seemed being ostracized by Lily and Camila throughout the meal had really brought down her spirits.

' This was supposed to be an attempt to get Su to truly forgive me.' Lucius let out a breath, he was annoyed but he didn't let his emotions compromise his expression.

' At the very least, I was able to keep my promise to Emily, so it wasn't a total disaster.' Lucius massaged his temple.

Back then, he did think about sending them away but, he knew that doing such would put a dent in his charade of trying to come off as a companionate person.

Others might start to think that he's judging them based on their standing, and that he's now more fond of the help than his own sister and her acquaintance, which wouldn't do his already run down image any good.

The best he could do was try to act like a proper noble, who's smile never faltered, yet also one who wasn't afraid to let his thoughts known.
