Jason clicked his tongue in annoyance. "We thought something bad happened to you meanwhile you're here having the time of your life…"
Since this was an E-rank dungeon, they expected Arthur and his party to be the swiftest in dealing with it. But after noticing that hours had passed since they entered with none of them coming out, they felt something was wrong.
Only for them to come and witness… this?
The group was speechless, and a hint of jealousy surged in Arthur's heart.
At least Arthur had a means to relax while on their adventure.
A surge of regret rose in Jason's heart.
'Damn, why hadn't I awakened as a Summoner?' Jason was speechless by his own thought.
Recalling his Vampire class, which belonged to a rare bloodline, he felt it wasn't too bad.
But compared to Arthur's class…
Why did he feel it was still inferior?
At the side, Aella was also impressed, the image of the scene burning into her mind and replaying repeatedly.
She had to admit.
Arthur seemed like a good kisser…
'Wait. What am I thinking…?' Her face froze and she quickly glanced around, relieved no one noticed the change in her expression. 'I must not forget the plan…'
The only person who was truly speechless was the village head, Rodrick.
'Damn, where did this lady come from? Had she been following us the whole time?' His mind raced frantically.
Recalling that someone had slaughtered Jerhard without him even realizing what had happened, he felt Nephis might be the culprit.
The dagger at her side seemed to prove his point a little bit.
His thoughts were a whirlwind of confusion as he glanced at the two who looked stunned to be caught.
Cough, cough…
"What are you guys doing here?" Arthur let out an awkward cough.
Still filled with embarrassment, her heart beating wildly from both the excitement of the kiss and the fear of being caught, Nephis quickly dissolved into shadow and vanished.
Seeing this sight, Rodrick's gaze sharpened. Just like before, he couldn't sense Nephis' presence anymore.
'So she's the one responsible…' After confirming his guess, his gaze fell on Arthur.
Who exactly was this young man that such a terrifying knight was guarding? And aside from that, there was also a frightening protector lurking in the shadows.
The village head's heart pounded viciously as he came to a realization.
Arthur was definitely the most terrifying among the bunch.
Jason clicked his tongue once again. "Shut your trap, you bald fuck."
A chill crept up his spine as the realization that Nephis was in the shadows dawned on him.
"Erm." He cleared his throat. "We came to check up on you."
"Did something happen?" Arthur questioned as he stood up, after feeling that his rising boner had now calmed down.
A vein popped on Jason's head as he wanted to furiously reply.
Thankfully, Aella calmly responded, "Nothing. You stayed too long here so we had to come and check up on you. Since it's nothing, do you want to continue or should we continue our venture of clearing dungeons?"
'Continue…?' Of course Arthur wanted to continue. But he couldn't just say that.
Shaking his head, he replied:
"Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Let's continue clearing the dungeons." With the mood ruined, continuing wouldn't be as thrilling as before…
"Okay." Aella smiled in reply.
"Hey, little girl." Arthur called out, making the little fox turn with a piece of meat stuck in its mouth.
"Let's go." Arthur rubbed his bald head casually and called the little guy.
The fox glanced back at the meal with reluctance, then turned to Arthur.
She waved her tail as though signaling something to him.
[Obtained 10 pieces of female underwear.]
[Obtained 10 mana stones.]
[Obtained 10 mana stones.]
[Obtained 10 middle grade health potions…]
Reading the line of words from the system, Arthur almost stumbled.
Was the little fox bribing him to let her eat more by stealing from Nephis and Jason?
Arthur glared speechlessly at the little cat and quickly unsummoned it before it could cause any more damage.
The little cat vanished into the summoning space, only to appear moments later wrapped around Arthur's neck.
It looked at Arthur with a pleading expression, and Arthur heard the seductive voice from the system continue resounding in his mind.
Arthur forced a smile that looked like crying.
"Little guy, no need to plead with me. I'll cook you something better in a bit. For now, stop…" Arthur emphasized a few words, his eyes fixed sharply on the little fox.
The system's messages stopped, causing Arthur to sigh in relief.
"Huh? A few things seem to have disappeared from my storage space… did I forget to carry them?" Aella muttered with a frown.
Jason immediately checked his own storage and noticed a few things had vanished as well.
"What happened?" he was stunned.
Arthur also glanced into his system space and didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he noticed the array of potions gathered there.
"A few things seem to have vanished from mine as well." Arthur's voice was steady as he lied without a second thought.
"That's strange…" Aella furrowed her brows.
"Truly is." Arthur commented.
With the trio unable to come to any conclusion, they could only set the matter aside.
"It's already evening. Let's continue clearing the dungeons tomorrow." Jason suggested once they stepped out of the portal.
He glanced at the two and waited for their thoughts.
Glancing at the darkening skies, Arthur nodded.
"Alright."
Rodrick cleared his throat and interrupted gently. "I have some space in my mansion where you three can stay for the night. There's no need to stay at the inn anymore."
"Is that necessary?" Jason asked with a raised brow.
Aella glanced at him then smiled. "Thank you for the generosity. We accept the offer."
Rodrick smiled in return, then led the trio toward his mansion.
The village was quiet all around, and only the inns where late night drinkers and a few prostitutes gathered still had noise drifting out.
Walking silently through the night, they reached the familiar castle after roughly an hour.
The village head led them inside and directed them to their rooms.
Finally, Arthur was left with his two calamities.
"You…" the village head paused, then asked, "Are you going to stay in the same room with them?"
Arthur nodded.
"It's fine. I can unsummon them at any time."
"Oh." The village head nodded and led Arthur to another room.
Arthur entered, feeling tired, and after checking that nothing was wrong with the room, he collapsed onto the bed.
Nephis materialized beside him, and subconsciously, Arthur leaned closer to her.
Unknowingly, he drifted to sleep without much care.
Staring at the peacefully sleeping Arthur, Nephis' face flushed slightly.
Her eyes fell on his lips, and the image from before replayed in her mind.
She couldn't help but lean closer and place her lips against his.
Arthur's lips felt warm against hers.
Recalling the next process she had learned, she parted his lips with her tongue and began tasting him.
Titan grunted lightly from the side, causing her movements to freeze.
She turned to Titan, then forced a smile and let Arthur sleep peacefully.
…
More than a few hours later, something happened…
