This isn't exactly an original technique, it's definitely derivative of something else. Let's see how effective it is in real life...
I raised my left hand, forming a rapidly spinning disk of Negative Energy with razor-sharp, serrated edges. I focused and intensified the energy, the disk spinning faster and faster, before hurling it towards the Fire Wyvern as I swung my arm forward.
The Monster began to veer across to its right, before plummeting down as my dark disk sliced through and severed its left wing, the Monster hitting the ground with a loud, squelching crash.
I swiftly shot towards it, lunging forward as I closed in and driving my fist towards the middle of its chest with all my strength.
A sharp crunch rang out as my fist slammed against the scales over its chest, several scales snapping off as deep cracks spread out across them upon impact.
I felt its bones break as its chest caved in, blood pouring out of its mouth as it gasped in agony...hm, that was pretty solid, but I guess I still don't pack enough of a punch to one-shot a Critical Level with brute strength.
As it began to open its mouth, I zipped across and plunged a blade of Negative Energy into the bottom of its lower jaw, piercing in and through the roof of its mouth, its jaws snapping shut before I gave the blade a sharp twist as I branched out spikes from the end to lock its mouth shut.
It shakily began to raise its right wing, the claws at the end of it poised to strike my head...but it was too late. Before it could react, I snapped off a sizeable chunk of its throat with Devour, before violently yanking the Negative Energy blade out and stepping back as the Monster writhed around in agony, convulsing as blood gushed out of its neck, before it slowly went limp and slumped against the ground.
I then stared in bemusement as a large leg covered in green scales hurtled across the space, skidding across the ground before slamming against the wall to the left, promptly followed by a howl of pain.
As I turned my gaze that way, I spotted Rex dropping out of the Wind Wyvern's stomach, blood pouring out of its mouth, its entire body severely battered and bruised.
A barrage of explosive projectiles came shooting towards it, peppering its body and erupting fiercely, chunks of scales and flesh flying out as it roared in agony, before unleashing a devastating gust of wind from its mouth.
The wind passed right through Rex, who turned his gaze back with a grimace as the attack barreled towards Ciel, who suddenly vanished from sight, reappearing right above the Monster, a look of surprise on her face.
But she was quick to adjust, a smirk spreading out across her lips as she rapidly chanted and fired out a concentrated blast of explosive energy.
She got teleported again right as the blast hit the Monster's upper back, just below the base of its neck, before exploding with devastating force.
A massive chunk of its flesh got blasted right off, killing the Wind Wyvern instantly, its head barely hanging on by a thread, most of its neck vaporized by the explosion, before it fell over and hit the ground as blood streamed out profusely.
A thudding splat echoed out as Aria finished off the Frost Wyvern too, the scales over its torso devastated with black scorched marks across several spots, and multiple deep indents all over its body, including over its heart.
"[Stamina Recovery], [Mana Recovery]," Chanted Damien, casting the enchantments on Aria, Rex and Ciel.
I've been keeping my Mana and stamina topped up through Desecrator, so I don't need any enchantments to recover my energy.
"I've never encountered Critical Levels outside of Boss Rooms before, and we've still got forty-six floors to go until we reach the Boss Room. I'm gonna have fun exploding them," Grinned Ciel, looking pretty satisfied, before adding as she glanced at Isla, "Thanks for the assist at the end there, by the way."
"Sure, don't mention it. I did figure you had it covered either way, but I thought I'd make things easier," Replied Isla with a smile.
"That was still way too close. Take this more seriously. If we weren't fighting just one Wyvern, you might've been in real danger, you were being way too carelessly. Don't make me break my promise," Frowned Rex sternly.
Huh, never seen him like this before, she must have really worried him.
"Yeah...I'm sorry. I'll be more careful."
"If you don't mind me asking, what kind of promise did you make?" I inquired curiously.
"I, uh...," He muttered, averting his gaze.
"Oh, a while back, I was horsing around a bit too much during a raid and left myself open, he turned himself tangible to shield me at the last moment and got badly hurt.
I made him promise to never do that again, which he agreed to so long as I promised to not be so careless again," Explained Ciel sheepishly.
Yeah, she does tend to get carried away when her explosions get her all riled up and hyper.
"You've really been toeing that line lately, you know...I'm not telling you to completely bury that side of you, just rein it in more.
Especially in a literal Calamity Level Dungeon. It really worries me," Sighed Rex, as he took hold of her hand and gave it a squeeze.
"I know...I'll do my best to be more careful, I'll try not to worry you so much, okay?" She replied with an apologetic smile, before leaning in and kissing his cheek.
"Huh? Wait, are you two, like, a thing?" Suddenly spoke up the Fire Mage.
"Oh...crap," Muttered Rex, his eyes widening in alarm.
"Huh, that's right, I forgot that you guys were hiding it. Was I really the only one here who knew? Well, that's certainly not the case anymore," I remarked in bemusement, Rex letting out a groan as Ciel smiled sheepishly and patted his shoulder.
