"Okay, my turn! Never have I ever drank coffee," Grinned Aria, everyone putting a finger down in response.
Well, with that, I've got one finger left in play. As for the others, Aria's got three, Jaden's got two, Aarav's got one left too, Beatriz has three, Iseul's also got three, and finally, Jin's got one.
"Wow, this is moving pretty fast, three of us are already on the brink of getting eliminated," Remarked Jin in bemusement.
"In my experience, the first round with a new group tends to go like this, it gets tougher to eliminate players the more we play," Replied Beatriz, with a smile, before adding as she glanced at me, "It's your turn now."
Well, on the bright side, I won't be getting eliminated since it's my turn, but I'm still in a tough spot...I gotta come up with something good.
"Alright, I'm gonna play dirty...never have I ever met my parents," I remarked wryly.
I don't think my previous life should count, so that is a true statement.
"Guess that means I'm out," Smiled Aarav, as he leaned back in his seat.
"Me too," Added Jin, before picking up his mug and taking a deep gulp.
With that, Jaden's down to one finger and the girls are all down to two.
"Okay, it's back to me now. Never have I ever not worried about money before Awakening," Stated Beatriz confidently.
Jaden put down his last finger, Aria and Iseul shifting down to one as well.
"Wasn't exactly rich, but money wasn't really on my mind when I living in constant fear of beatdowns from my father," He remarked sheepishly.
"Yeah, what he shaid," Nodded Iseul in agreement.
"My childhood was pretty comfortable, so yeah," Added Aria with a wry smile.
"I'm nexsht, right? Neber hab I eber...almosht killed a parent!" Declared Iseul smugly.
Huh?
"Uh...," Uttered Beatriz in bemusement.
"You're playing it wrong...you just eliminated yourself," I remarked, her eyes widening in realization.
"Oh...ohh, shit. I fuckeded it up," She groaned in dismay, letting up a huff as she picked up and handful of chips and crammed them into her mouth.
"Alright, that just leaves three of us, all with one finger left. And it's my turn now," Spoke up Aria, pausing for a moment to think it over, before adding, "Never have I ever eaten any bird meat besides chicken."
Oh, that's a good one...and lucky for me, neither have I.
"Crap, I've tried duck, so that means I'm out," Sighed Beatriz wistfully.
"Huh, gotta say, I didn't think I'd get a second round with how quickly I was brought down to one finger. Alright, then, time to end this...never have I ever had red hair," I smirked as I glanced at Aria.
"Come on, that's not fair-...wait. What about that time you wore the red wig?!" Exclaimed Aria with a gleam in her eyes.
"That shouldn't count, a wig is basically a glorified hat," I countered objectively.
"No, I say it counts," Argued Aria firmly.
"Alright, then, there's only one way to solve this fairly...let's put it to a vote," I suggested, before glancing at the others.
"Fine by me," She nodded in response.
"Hm, that's a tough one...I say it doesn't count," Replied Jaden, after taking a moment to mull it over.
"Same. If you'd dyed it red, I'd say it counts, but I don't think a wig counts," Added Beatriz with a nod of agreement.
"I disagree. A wig is basically a substitute for hair, so I think it counts as hair," Chimed in Jin.
"Yeah, I think so too. Like, if someone wears a wig, you'd perceive it as their hair...well, unless it's a really shitty wig that's very obviously not real," Replied Aarav, as he gave it some thought.
"Thish ish tough...," Muttered Iseul uncertainly.
"Think about it, it's-...," I began.
"Nuh-uh, you can't say anything to try and sway her decision!" Protested Aria immediately, clamping her hand over my mouth.
Heh, yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to do.
"Okay! I made my deshishon...I shay it doeshn't coumt!" Decided Iseul, before I pumped my fist triumphantly.
"Looks like I win," I grinned smugly.
"Damn it," Sighed Aria with a slight grumble.
"Man, that was pretty fun!" Remarked Jaden, stretching his arms up.
"Yeah, it got pretty intense at the end there, exactly what you want...it's no fun if someone dominates," Replied Beatriz wryly.
"Well, except for the person who dominates," Responded Aarav with a smile.
"It's too bad we have to leave tomorrow, it would've been nice to hang out again," Jaden sighed wistfully.
"Yes, I've really enjoyed this visit, quite the contrast to my last trip to Sanctuary Theta," Chuckled Jin in response.
"Mhm, that's for sure," Nodded Beatriz in agreement.
"I wish I'd gotten to fight that Archdemon...but by the time the Sanctuary Alpha branch of the Union dealt with all the red tape, you guys had already defeated it," Responded Jaden with a sigh.
"It would've been great if you'd shown up, the fight probably would have been a lot easier," I replied with a wry smile.
"But then, you and I might not have gotten hit that Demonic Art that boosted us. Actually, it probably would've been over by the time I got there," Pointed out Aria.
Yeah, that's true.
"I really had a blast today, it's too bad it's coming to an end...it's going to be a pain to have to go back and deal with the whole Guild restructuring thing," Frowned Aarav apprehensively.
"Yeah, Aria and I are going to be assigned to lead a brand new Guild ourselves, it's probably gonna be hectic," I nodded in agreement.
"Cool, which of you is gonna be the Guildmaster?" Inquired Jaden curiously.
"That'd be Kai. Neither of us really wanted it, but between him and his summons, most of the Guild's firepower will be coming from him, so it just made more sense for him to lead," Explained Aria.
Yeah, we're going to go through a lot of changes before long, and only time will tell how it'll all turn out...
