"Ahh! That was fun!" Grinned Aria, as she flopped onto the bed, letting out a slight yawn.

It was about a couple hours later, a bit past midnight. The others had to go back to their hotel, since they need to get some sleep before making their trips back home in the morning, so we said our goodbyes and parted ways.

We'd just gotten home, and we were at my place. We've been alternating whose place we sleep over at every day, I slept at her place last night, so she's here today.

I know it's a bit unusual, but it works for us.

Both of us have times where we want to be by ourselves in our own spaces, so this suits us pretty well.

"Yeah, I had a great time. It was fun battling the others earlier, and the hangout at the bar was a lot of fun too," I nodded, placing my head on her stomach before lightly smacking her boobs, watching them jiggle.

"Hey! My boobs aren't a bobble toy, you know," She huffed indignantly, before letting out a giggle.

"Heh, my bad."

"Get up here and cuddle me, and we'll call it even."

"Deal," I smiled, scooting up and laying down next to her, giving her a kiss on the forehead as I pulled her into my arms.

She snuggled into my chest, wrapping her arms around me before peeling up with a warm smile. I leaned down and kissed her, gently caressing her lips between mine.

"Mm...I love you, Kai," She whispered, as she gave me a squeeze.

"I love you too, Aria," I smiled, before adding as she stifled a yawn, "What do you say we get some sleep? Think it's safe to say we're both pretty worn out."

"Yeah, I'm really sleepy. It was a pretty tiring day," She nodded drowsily, her eyelids fluttering slightly, before she muttered as I pulled the blanket over us, "Goodnight, Kai. See you in the morning."

"Mhm, goodnight Aria."

I let out a yawn as I sat up groggily, squinting as a ray of sunlight hit my eyes...well, it's not real sunlight, but it's basically the same thing.

The Sanctuary domes project sunlight during the day and moonlight at night, apparently mimicking the outside conditions accurately.

It even gets dark and gloomy when it's rainy outside of the Sanctuary, though we don't get any actual rain, of course.

From what I've heard, the technology they use to project sunlight and moonlight perfectly replicates real solar and lunar rays, and there's also tech to replicate wind, otherwise the air would end up getting stagnant.

Not that I really understand the science behind it, though...I mean, it's not like I ever understood how the technology of my old era worked, let alone the insanely advanced stuff in this era.

To be fair, even back then, if you asked people to explain in detail exactly how, say, a smartphone works, how many people do you think would actually be able to answer it properly?

"Mm...," Muttered Aria, as she rolled over, her brows furrowing as a ray of sunlight hit her face.

I quietly got up and adjusted the blanket over her, before heading for the balcony and sliding the curtains shut, her expression easing as I blocked out the sunlight.

Wait, what time is it?

Huh, it's past 2 PM. It was around 12:30 AM when we went to sleep, so that's...thirteen and a half hours, wow.

I did have a pretty deep sleep, feel like I had a weird dream too. I think it had something to do with Ai?

Wait, yeah, that's right, I'm remembering some bits and pieces...hey, Ai, are you able to see my dreams like you do with my thoughts?
