"Alright, there's no telling how long it'll be before the Dungeons start appearing again, and while this is a good opportunity to rest up, we can't afford to take it too easy and end up getting rusty. With that in mind, we'll be holding sparring sessions and mock battles here," I remarked, as I led the others into the building's arena.
"Sounds good. But, uh, is it safe for you and Ariella to fight in here, even if it's just sparring? You guys could end up bringing down the entire building if you're not careful," Pointed out Wrest.
"Yeah, don't worry, we won't be using the indoor arena. We can't even properly use the training rooms in our homes anymore," Sighed Aria in response.
That's true, I only use my training room to practice my aim with my Pulse Bullets, and also to sharpen my technique, by shadow fighting, as in practicing my moves without a physical target, basically attacking the air.
If Aria and I want to spar for real, we'd probably have to go outside the Sanctuary. The X-Ace Clash resulted in the stadium sustaining a fair bit of structural damage, it's undergoing extensive repairs right now. And that place is literally built to tank damage from Hunters clashing.
Ordinary training facilities aren't going to cut it for Aria and I at our level anymore, maybe I should message Jaden or one of the others and ask them how they train, we all exchanged contact info at the bar before leaving.
"In addition to you guys, and the others who join our Guild, there's two more who'll be using this arena, they'll be acting as trainers. Let me introduce you...now, <Emerge, Apostles of Lust and Envy: Luxuria and Invidia>," I chanted, the others staring in fascination and intrigue, except Damien, since he's already seen them.
"<Hey, Master, been a while since you last summoned me. What can I do for you>?" Luxuria greeted me as she bowed down.
"<What's up, Boss>?" Added Invidia, stretching his arms up.
"I'm the head of a new Guild now, the Sinners Guild. And I'd like you two to help train the members of the Guild," I replied, before nodding at the others.
"<Sure, Master, I can do that. Hm, they're all fairly weak compared to us, so I guess I'm gonna have to hold back a lot, huh>?" Mused Luxuria, as she glanced at them.
"No, we'll be using safety barriers, so don't hold back. But, uh, maybe avoid going out of your way to injure or torture them."
"<Yeah, okay>."
"Since you two are going to be here pretty often, go ahead and explore the place, if you want," I suggested thoughtfully.
The others came here in their regular clothes, they haven't brought any gear or weapons, so I'll have to save the sparring for another day.
"<Okay, but I'd prefer to explore alone than with him>," Frowned Luxuria, giving Invidia a narrowed side glance.
"<Hah, whatever, the feeling's mutual, skank>."
"<Hey, Master, since he can't die, is it okay if I destroy him>?"
"Come on, you two, at least try to get along," I sighed in exasperation.
"<She started it, Boss, I just responded in kind>," Invidia defended himself.
"<Fuck off, you incel beta cuck>."
"<Wha-...>?!"
"Enough. Go on, go explore the place, separately," I interjected with a huff.
"<Yeah, okay. See you in a bit, Master>."
"<Later, Boss>."
I guess I shouldn't try and force them to get along, but this is going to be a pain to deal with.
<They usually bicker with each other whenever I wake them up and interact with them, so I always keep one of them asleep>
What about Acedia?
<He's fine, he's usually pretty indifferent>
<Though, he doesn't like being woken up for long, he just asks me to let him go back to sleep after a few minutes>
Well, he is the Apostle of Sloth, so that makes sense. But he's going to be busy soon too, I'd like to have him serve as a sparring partner for me and Aria.
Actually, in hindsight, maybe I should've asked Charlotte if I could have him participate in the X-Ace Clash too. Guess it's too late for regrets now.
"Excuse me, Guildmaster, I've got some news...it looks like two of the four graduates with Ace Potential will be joining the Sinners Guild," Tracy informed me, as she opened up her I-Watch display.
"Wait, for real? Huh, I figured we'd maybe get one, at most, since we have more firepower than the other two Guilds," I responded in surprise.
"Well, two of the graduates are both Healers, and since the Demonsbane Guild is the only one with an Ace-level Healer, these two were divided between us and the Diva Guild. The other one who'll be joining us is a Protector."
A Protector, huh? Aria and I don't really need a Protector, since we can tank attacks that Protectors' barriers can't defend against.
But since this person's got Ace Potential, they can probably cast some pretty strong barriers.
Even if they won't be much use to Aria and me, I suppose they could be handy in parties that we won't be a part of. It's not like we'll be able to join every single raid our Guild takes on, after all.
On another note...
"I'm surprised the Chairwoman didn't tell you to keep it a secret from me," I replied in bemusement.
"Yeah, that surprised me too, I-...oh, never mind, she just told me. Guess I should tell her it's already too late...there we go," Responded Tracy, before adding as she got a reply, "Uh, she's not happy about that. She's saying it was implied, which I should've inferred, according to her."
"Mhm, that sure sounds like her," Nodded Lector with a laugh.
"When will they be coming here?" I asked Tracy.
"Actually, they're being escorted here as we speak. We'll sort out their contracts and give them an informal orientation to welcome them, they should be here in about fifteen minutes."
