"What-...?!" Blurted out the Archdemon.
She began to pull her arm back out of my chest while turning her body across, before hissing sharply in pain as the blade of my spear plunged into the left side of her torso and pierced through her flesh.
I grimaced in bitter frustration as she coughed out blood, my heart sinking as I missed her Core by millimeters.
No...
She let out a snarl as she violently wrenched her arm out of my chest, blood gushing out and streaming down my body before she swung her head forward, slamming her forehead against mine, before I let out a sharp wheeze as her foot collided against the middle of my stomach with crushing force, launching me back through the air upon impact.
My back slammed onto the ground as I flew back, skidding several meters across the ground before I coughed out blood, struggling to breathe as my vision blurred sharply, my consciousness starting to fade.
D-Damn it, this is the downside of having an Ace-level body...most people would already be dead with these injuries, but my higher durability means that this pain is going to be prolonged.
I deliberately avoided using my stronger Skills throughout the fight, I only used a few weaker ones, waiting for an opening...I was so close, but in the end, it wasn't enough.
"I'll admit, that was not a bad move, human. To try and take me down with you, you held back until the last moment...but ultimately, you were just too slow to make it count. Still, I can't deny that it was quite close.
I shall put you out of your misery, consider it a show of appreciation for providing me with moderate entertainment," Remarked the Archdemon, looming over me as she walked over.
She came to a stop in front of me, before taking aim at my head as she charged up a concentrated mass of Negative Energy over her index finger.
I closed my eyes and relaxed as I accepted my fate. I just...I just hope I was able to buy enough time-...
Suddenly, the Archdemon let out a startled cry of pain as a deafening crackle rang out, my eyes opening in surprise just in time to see her hurtling back through the air, before sharply spreading out her wings with a look of indignation and anger on her face.
"Who dares-...?! Huh? Wait, aren't you...?"
"<Hm, how unfortunate, these wounds are clearly fatal. My Lord respects this human, he will not be pleased>."
"Y-You...," I began weakly, before trailing off with a sharp, agonizing cough.
That's...Acedia, the Lightning Dragon that Kai subjugated to become his Apostle of Sloth.
"It is you, Raixel...what is that strange glowing appearance?" Frowned the Archdemon.
"<Hm? Do I know you>?"
"Wha-...?! You bastard...! I am Fenelza Zazzeka, the Fifth Seat! How do you not know who I am?!" She snapped incredulously.
"<The Fifth Seat? I see. That Aura, you do appear to be fairly powerful>," He mused in response, before adding, "<What an exhaustingly long name, no wonder I didn't bother remembering you>."
"H-How utterly infuriating...," She growled, before flying up as he unleashed a barrage of lightning bolts towards her, weaving through the air to evade the attacks, as they sparked and crackled intensely through the air.
He spread out his wings and shot up into the air, before firing out a wide, devastating beam of intense, concentrated lightning straight towards her, an electric glow blanketing the area as her eyes widened in alarm.
She veered across to her right as fast as she could, grimacing as the beam grazed her left side, scorching the scales around that spot as her body seized up slightly from the electrocution.
Acedia shot towards her with immense speed, lightning wrapped around his claws as he closed in on her and drove his right arm towards her Core with a powerful thrust.
She unleashed an intense burst of Negative Energy at the last split-second, right as his claws began to pierce through her skin.
She snarled as her attack pushed him back, firing out a fierce volley of Negative Energy blasts towards him as trickles of blood ran down from the middle of her torso, the wound promptly closing up.
Dozens of violently crackling, dancing streaks of intense lightning erupted out of Acedia's hands, bursting out across the air in front of him and intercepting the Negative Energy blasts well before they could reach him, before he shifted his gaze up as the Archdemon zipped up higher and swooped down towards him.
She fired out a blast of Negative Energy as he unleashed a rapid lightning bolt towards her, the attacks canceling out as they collided against each other.
She growled and propelled herself towards him with a sharp burst of speed, as she unleashed a pressurized Negative Energy eruption from her feet.
She coated her right fist in intense, swirling Negative Energy as she drove it down towards Acedia, who quickly crossed his arms in front of himself.
A fierce blast erupted as her fist collided against his forearms, his right arm getting blown off as he plunged down towards the ground, a loud crash ringing out upon impact as his back slammed against the dirt.
He quickly rolled across and sprang back onto his feet as a shredding Negative Energy blast came shooting down towards him, tearing the ground apart upon impact, bits of dirt flying out as puffs of dust burst out.
"Hm...are you weaker than you were before? It did appear as though your Aura had lost some intensity, but you are clearly slower and weaker than most Dragons usually are. Tell me, why are you fighting on the humans' side? And why are you glowing?" Inquired the Archdemon with a frown.
"<Too many questions...I have intention of wasting my energy answering any of that>," He responded dryly.
"I see...in that case, die," She remarked, as she fired off a flurry of Negative Energy arrows down towards him.
He raced across to evade them, before spreading out his wings and zipping up into the air, snapping his jaws open as intense sparks of lightning crackled around his mouth, before a rapid, devastating blast of lightning erupted out, shooting towards the Archdemon with immense speed.
She flew across to evade it, a stuttering yell of pain ringing out as the blast engulfed the side of her right arm, a bright electric flash bursting out as the attack charred about a third of the flesh on her arm to ash, glimpses of the bones visible as-...
I grimaced as my vision blurred and began to darken around the corners, my eyelids growing heavier and heavier as my body felt ice cold, the pain numbing and starting to fade.
D-Damn it, I...I'm about to...to lose...consciousness.
I...I can barely...keep my...my eye open any...anymore. I'm...starting to...fade out...
