"<How may I serve you, my Lord>?" Acedia greeted me, as he lifted his head and met my gaze.

"I want you to use your lightning to blast the lake, kill as many of the Monsters down there as you can," I instructed him.

"<Very well, understood>," Acedia nodded, before flying out into the open, several threatening snarls and roars ringing out as the Monsters noticed him.

An intense electric glow surrounded his entire body, the air around him sparking and crackling violently as he charged up his lightning, bathing the entire area in a bright blue glow.

I felt my hair starting to stand up on end as he continued to charge up, his body barely visible anymore through the blindingly bright glow he was giving off, before he suddenly swooped straight down towards the water.

A deafening, crackling blast echoed out as the bright glow erupted into a blinding electric flash, stuttering roars of pain ringing out as Acedia dived into the water, electrocuting every Monster in the lake.

Those at the edge of the lake backed away in alarm, thick clouds of steam erupting and billowing out, vaporized by the intense, charged up lightning.

Nice, not quite what I had in mind, I expected him to just fire off lightning bolts at the lake while hovering up in the air, but this is a lot more effective.

He's continuing to generate lightning while submerged, he isn't letting up, the water's sparking and crackling like crazy.

All the Monsters outside the lake have their attention focused on the water, I should make use of this opportunity, while they're still distracted...

"Now, <Emerge, Apostles of Lust, Envy and Pride: Luxuria, Invidia and Superbia>," I chanted, before leaping off the tree I was perched on as the three of them appeared, following after me as I swooped down and landed on the shore at the edge of the lake with a soft thud, before chanting as several Monsters turned their attention to me, "<Enrage>, <Descent>."

A burst of Negative Energy erupted out as the purple energy of Enrage swirled around me intensely, steadily settling down as my wings grew out of my shoulders blades, my tail extending out of my lower back as a pair of curved horns protruded out of either side of my head, a third, straight horn appearing over the middle of my forehead.

My gaze darted across towards a Cull Crocodile, a humanoid, reptilian Monster with white, scaly skin.

It let out a snarl as I shot towards it, swinging its claws at my head, which I ducked under before slamming my palm against the middle of its torso, a sharp roar of pain ringing out as I unleashed Mana Pulse.

The Monster's body convulsed and shuddered in agony, before I swiftly chanted to manifest Ravage, biting its head off before it could react, before swiftly wolfing down the rest of its body.

As I sensed a pair of Monsters springing up behind me, I began to turn my gaze back before a couple of pained snarls rang out, as Superbia lunged towards the Monsters and drove her spear forward, the blade slitting the throat of one of them and piercing into the side of the other one's head.

She yanked her spear back, swinging it across to get the blood off and swiftly turned across, drawing the spear back as a Two-Headed Alligator, a humanoid Monster with two heads and dark greenish-black scales, sprang up behind her.

"<Time to finally test this out...Unstoppable Force>!" She exclaimed, as she drove her spear forward.

As the blade of the spear closed in on the middle of the Monster's chest, a burst of blood erupted in the blink of an eye, as she blasted a wide, gaping hole through its chest, killing it instantly, the Monster falling over and hitting the ground with a thud.

"Such a powerful Skill seems wasted on such a weak Monster. And you can't use it again for another five minutes, right?" I remarked, looking around as Luxuria flew across the air and carpet-bombed dozens of the Monsters with her Negative Energy blasts.

I don't see Invidia, he must be using Stealth, I see a number of dead Monsters with stab wounds through the back of their necks.

"<Yeah, I know, I just wanted to try it out>," Responded Superbia with a sheepish smile, as Acedia emerged from the lake, the water' surface covered with countless floating corpses.

I swiftly drew out Desecrator as I spotted another Cull Crocodile charging towards me, turning across towards it and springing up as it lunged at me.

I leapt up and over it, before whipping my blade across, slicing through the top of its head and splitting its head open, killing it as I slashed its brain.

I unleashed a burst of Negative Energy as several Caimanoids and Two-Headed Alligators surrounded and zipped in towards me, blowing them away as they converged in.

As I knocked the Monsters back, Superbia raced forward, swinging her spear across and slicing through the nape of a Two-Headed Alligator before it could regain its bearings.

As the Monster fell over and hit the ground with a thud, she shifted her grip down to the end of the handle and whipped the spear across, deeply slicing through the throat of a Caimanoid to her right.

Blasts of lightning rained down as Acedia zipped up into the air and targeted the rest of the Monsters I'd knocked off-balance, killing them as his blasts charred their bodies upon impact.

I turned my attention to a Two-Headed Alligator that began to rush in towards me, before a startled snarl of pain rang out, blood bursting out the back of its neck, before it collapsed onto its knees and fell over, hitting the ground.

Good, this is progressing quite smoothly.

Not counting the Monsters that were in the lake, we've already cut down around a third of those that hadn't been in the water.

All this fodder should prove to be quite substantial, I'll begin feasting on their remains as soon as we finish cutting down the rest of them...
