Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress

Chapter 53: Ch 53: Meeting in Seven Heroes Conclave

Because of her extremely precise control over her own life force, Weiss was capable of perfectly hiding her true realm from others.

This was reason why the guard at the gates had found her to be a low level apprentice knight. This was not a special technique and for the time being, only Weiss was capable of doing it so perfectly because her foundation as a knight was extremely strong.

Weiss was trying to create a technique which could give this same effect and she had even created a base for it.

But she still needed to make it less complex so that a knight did not need an insanely high quality foundation to be capable of using it.

So far, other than Weiss, only Elise had managed to learn this base technique a little. But her use of this skill was still very unstable and she would need to practice a lot more to become better at it.

But that was not the case for Weiss. Her realm looked perfectly stable while she was using this skill. So as long as Weiss did not need to seriously fight, even thoroughly checking her would not reveal her true realm.

Currently while going to the Seven Heroes Conclave, Weiss had made her realm to be that of a high level apprentice knight. This was the perfect realm to be considered as a powerful individual but not powerful enough to attract extra attention.

As Weiss entered the tavern that belonged to the Seven Heroes Conclave, she found the atmosphere there to be very energetic.

As Karl had worked for this organisation for some time, he was aware of how this place worked. So Weiss was also told about it.

...

As soon as Weiss entered the tavern, all the eyes suddenly focused on her for a few seconds. After that a few of the eyes moved away with disinterest but a few other eyes still stayed on her.

As she was a new face and looked to have some strength as a high level apprentice knight, a lot of people with similar or slightly lower strength was interested in getting to know her.

And as female practicing secert arts was also not very common, that also attracted extra interest from the people here.

Weiss did not mind the looks and immediately went to the counter and sat down there. Then as a waiter came to her, she ordered a drink called "Blue Shine" which had a very low alcohol content.

A knight was capable of drinking as much regular alcohol as they wanted without getting drunk at all. But Weiss was not very fond of alcohol. Instead she preferred fruit flavoured drinks way more.

So as she was served her drink, Weiss handed the waiter a whole gold coin. Obviously this single drink alone was not this expensive but the waiter took the gold coin very naturally and went back.

As Weiss calmly sat while taking sips of a drink, a man suddenly came toward her and sat down on the chair located next her.

This man had a very slim body and he looked almost malnourished. But Weiss could feel that this man was also a high level Knight apprentice. So he was definitely someone strong.

There were many secret arts that permanently changed the body structure of the individual to make them more suited for fighting. So it looked like the secret art that this man was practicing had a similar effect.

"Miss, I am Feberend, the Swift Wind. I have been working for the Seven Heroes Conclave for more than 8 years. So if miss needs any kind of help, please feel free to ask me."

Weiss did not mind being approached by him suddenly. As she was here to collection information about various things, more people talking to her was a good thing.

So Weiss decided to ask him a few things as he himself had offered to help her. Karl had been in the Seven Heroes Conclave for a limited amount of time, so there were a lot of things that he was probably not aware of.

"Hello senior. My name is Sasha. It's my first time here in the Seven Heroes Conclave. So I will really appreciate if senior could tell me a little about how this place functioned."

Weiss had a very sweet voice that was pleasurable to the ears. And her words were also very polite. So even though her tone was cold and without much emotions, Feberend still found it to be very pleasant.

So he happily started to tell her a few basic things about the Seven Heroes Conclave. Some of the things that he told were something that Weiss was already aware of but a few things were also new to her.

Still Weiss did not interrupt him at all and listened to everything he said very seriously. And Feberend was also happy to find such a good listener.

Feberend was obviously not here to just help someone out because of his good heart. Many times he needed to take missions from the Seven Heroes Conclave with others.

There were not many high level apprentice knights so if he and Sasha could make a good relationship, then there was a high possibility that they could work together in the future.

And obviously, from how sweet the voice of this person was, he could guess that this lady here was definitely a beauty. So who knows, in the future, after building more trust, they could even become something more than friends.

So with all these thoughts in his mind, he gave very genuine and correct information to Weiss.

...

As Feberend was still talking, the waiter who had taken the gold coin from Weiss came back and asked her to come to the back of the tavern.

After this invitation was given, Feberend immediately stopped talking and bid his goodbye. But before that he did not forget to ask Sasha if it was alright for them to meet again or not.

Weiss, who was Sasha here did not disappoint him and replied that she would be glad to have another conversation with Feberend.

This answer made Feberend happy so he went back to his previous table while Weiss went to the back of the tavern with the waiter.

...

Giving a gold coin to the waiter here was equivalent to requesting a meeting with a true member of the Seven Heroes Conclave.

Even though anyone was allowed to take a task from this organisation, they still had loyal people who truly belonged to this place and were not just paid mercenaries.

True members were chosen very strictly and they needed to meet very strict requirements. That was why, even for just meeting one such person, one whole gold coin was needed to be paid first.

The waiter took Weiss to a private room and opened the door. Entering in the room, Weiss found that the room was empty and there was no one inside.

The waiter also came in and closed the door behind her. Then he sat down on one of the couch and gave a very cheerful smile. But at the same time, he also started giving off a very threatening aura.

So it turned out that the waiter himself was a true member of the Seven Heroes Conclave.
