The first one was the Montegoner Family. Currently they were the the actual controller of a seaside city called Azoa and they were also the leaders of one of the largest trading company of the Brightshine kingdom called "Azure Sea Fleet".
This company not only did business inside the Brightshine kingdom but also outside of it using many of it's ships. Even the royal family were not willing to go against this family as they alone had more than 30 knights under their employment.
Among all the available information about the Montegoner Family, there was really nothing that proved it to be related to the magus world. The products they sold were nothing magical but regular things like clothing and fishes.
But still, there was also quite a lot of mysteries surrounding the this family. So, Weiss needed to look into these mysteries to see if the Montegoner family had any connections with a magus or not.
...
The second ancient family was the Gyolchi family of Northern lands. This was also the ancient family located closest to Weiss's current location.
This family did not live in a city. Instead they had a large villa located just little bit away from a small town ruled by a baron.
This family was even more mysterious than the previous Montegoner family. Almost nothing's about them was known to others.
But there were one thing that was clear about them. And it was the fact that they were exceptionally strong.
Once there was a viscount who wanted something from this family and had tried to attack the villa. But the result of this conflict was the complete annihilation of that Viscount's bloodline. As for why and how they all died, it was not very clear.
The royal family had investigated this situation and still to this day, they had not manage to find who the culprit behind this murder incident was.
Even though the Gyolchi family had never taken responsibility for the murder of a whole noble family, the general populations were all in agreement that only this mysterious family was capable of pulling off something like this.
Now after reading this, Weiss felt that the chance of this Gyolchi family having connection with a magus was very high. But this time, it actually looked way too obvious.
Still as this family was location not too far from her current location, Weiss wanted to check them out as soon as possible.
Obviously Weiss was not planning to antagonise them and instead she was just planning to ask if they could get in touch with the magus world or not.
Then finally, the last family in the list was the Ratonik family. They were located in the Western desert area of the Brightshine kingdom and they had one of the few oasis of that area under their control.
This family currently also held the noble title of a marquis. They were also most probably the strongest force present in the western region.
But even though the Ratonik family was powerful, from how they operated, they did not feel like someone who would have a connection with the mysterious magi.
But Weiss knew that this was just her bias speaking. There was nothing that showed that a family related to a magus needed to have a mysteries aura.
That was why Weiss also decided to learn more about them. The Ratonik family had the most amount of information available about them and Weiss checked everything very thoroughly.
The current head of the family, Lusus Ratonik was a high level knight who was almost at the peak. He had a good chance of even reach the realm of a grand knight in the future.
Other than the family head, there were also eleven other known knights who were a part of this family. And who knew if there were even more hidden knights present under this family or not ?
But none of these information sounded like something that someone related to a magus would do. So Weiss speculated that the Ratonik family were not related to any magi and the reason why they were powerful was because they had a very strong knight's secret arts.
...
After learning about these three ancient families, Weiss finally stopped reading and got out of the room. After coming out, she saw that it was already dark outside.
She had started reading when sun had not even reach the middle of the sky but now it was already late night. So she had been reading for more than 10 hours straight.
With her extremely fast reading speed, the amount of information that Weiss had managed to consume was something that a regular person would need at least a week to read thoroughly. So Weiss considered this day to be very productive.
Karl was already done cooking the food so Weiss had dinner immediately and went to bed. Her plan for the next few days was to continue reading the other informations while working toward fulfilling her plans.
...
So Weiss spend the next morning also checking out the new books. But after an early Lunch, she decided to leave the house for some shopping.
This time Weiss did not leave secretly and instead left through the front doors. If she did not go out at all for several days, it would look very unnatural. That was why Weiss went out this time while acting as if she was a servant doing some shopping for her master.
Weiss only bought some fruits and daily use clothing, nothing too fancy. Then she simply returned back to the house again. There was nothing even remotely suspicious about her.
But as soon as she had returned back, she left again and this time, in secret. Then she went to the tavern belonging to the Seven Heroes Conclave again.
After entering the tavern, Weiss directly went to check a news board where various available missions were posted. And there Weiss easily managed to find her mission for finding five types of gems.
As this mission was posted very recently and not much time had passed, Weiss was sure that no one replied to this.
So she did not ask any of the people from the Seven Heroes Conclave about her mission. If there was any news then they would have notified her as soon as she had came here.
Then Weiss started to check the other missions that were posted here. Karl had told Weiss that these missions were high paying most of the time, so if there was any mission that Weiss would be able to safely do, she was not going to miss out on a chance of making money.
Most of the mission were about killing monsters or finding something rare. Other than Weiss's, there were two other missions which were also asking for rare and valuable gems.
While she reading about all the mission, suddenly in a prominent location of the board, Weiss saw a mission. The giver of this mission was none other than Count Falgur and the minimun requirement for accepting it was to have the strength of a high level knight apprentice.
Was this a divine assistance given to Weiss by the Fate itself ?
