Weiss did not give the count any time to took out the dagger that was buried in his thighs. With Weiss continuously attacking him from all sides with her insanely high speed, if the count did not focus on defending himself, he would soon turn into several pieces of meat.
While he was in this kind of terrible condition, suddenly his body started to feel numb. He had this numbing feeling for a long time and Count Falgur had thought that his injuries and bloodloss were the reason of that.
But now he started to realise that there was something else in play. He knew his body extremely well and that was the reason why he managed to realised that something was wrong here.
But it was too late for the realisation. The count quickly started to feel weaker and weaker and finally fell on his knees. At the same time he greeted his teeth and muttered in a pained voice -
"Poison."
Yes, in her usual style, Weiss had obviously coated the daggers in poison before fighting the count. She had also used one of the strongest kind of poison that she had.
But still with his very strong body, the high level knight Count Falgur had managed to resist the poison for quite a bit even in his tired and injured state. But once the poison managed to get past that resistance, he got effected by it very quickly.
Even though the count should be unable to move anymore, Weiss still did not take any risk and cut the muscles in the count's hands and feet. She also tied him up very tightly.
If the count had given her a harder time, then Weiss would have been fine with killing him. But as the battle with him had went much better than she had expected, she wanted to learn quite a few things from the count specially about the mysterious items that he had.
As Weiss was tightly tying him up, the count was looking at her with anger, frustration and befuddlement. If looked like he was having a hard time believing that the girl before him was Weiss and that she had managed to defeat him.
But he was unable to keep this up for much longer with the effect of the poison and his injuries. So he fainted very soon.
After seeing that, Weiss started to search the count to see what items he still had with him even when he was trying to carry as little as possible.
The most valuable thing among his belongings was most probably the axe. When Weiss had was fighting him, she had felt how powerful this axe was. The quality of this weapon was definitely higher than the daggers in her hand.
Even though Weiss had managed to block the attacks made with this axe, it had not been easy. Actually, after each clash, her daggers had sustained some damage while the axe was perfectly fine. It was a clear proof of the difference between these two weapons.
Other than the daggers, Weiss found several more intersting items on him. One of them was the aura concealing bracelet. Shin from the Seven Heroes Conclave had an item similarly to this to hide his strength but the grade of this bracelet was definitely higher as it could conceal the aura of even a high level official knight.
Weiss was not very interested in this item as her own technique of concealing her presence was much better than this item. But other people could still use this item so it was not completely useless.
Other than this, Weiss had found an inner clothing that was extremely durable. This piece of cloth felt as smooth as a high quality silk. But it was extremely good at absorbing impacts and had a resistance against slashing attacks. Weiss had no idea how this was even possible.
She also found the item that had most probably created the mighty and powerful barrier for the count. This item was currently in an inactive state and looked just like a regular gem.
But after observing it very closely, Weiss found that there were some letter like inscriptions inside the gem. She had no idea what these inscriptions were and what kind of language these letters belonged to.
This made Weiss even more certain that this barrier creating item was definitely something that was made by a magus. At least by an apprentice magus.
With this very plausible speculation in her mind, Weiss became even more excited about the last item belonging to the count that she was interested in. It was a small diary.
While the count was still unconscious, Weiss had started to read the diary. She was not reading it very thoroughly and was just trying to see if it had any information about the magi or not.
This diary had a lot of details about the territory of the count which was a very valuable information. But Weiss did not care about any of that. She was only interested in the news about a magus and nothing else for the time being.
After going through about 60 percent of the diary, Weiss finally found the information that she was looking for. Actually not just one information but two.
The first information was about a ruin left behind by a mysterious powerhouse. The count had explored this place with a few comrades and that was also where he had gotten his beloved axe.
From the description of that mysterious place, Weiss guessed that it was probably an apprentice magus' temporary lab. Jonus had written a little about how many magus apprentices created labs like this for experiment and had left behind things there that they had not found to be too valuable.
Weiss was definitely going to this ruin. It looked like a place that could have clues about the magus world. And if this place belonged to a high level Apprentice magus, then Weiss would have hit a jackpot.
But one thing was for sure. This place definitely was not a true magus' lab. As for why Weiss was so sure about this fact, it was simple. Count Falgur and the his friends managing to come out of it alive was the best proof.
If this lab belonged to a magus, then even with just the bare minimal defenses being active, count Falgur and all his friends would have died immediately after stepping foot inside it. Only a grand knight might have a chance of survival in that situation.
This would have been an explosive information for Weiss in a normal situation but currently that was not the case anymore. And the reason of this was the second information that was just way too valuable.
Count Falgur had mentioned a man named Yolan Roice in his notes and this man was the one who had given him the barrier creating item.
From how this man had interacted with the count, Weiss was very sure that this man was definitely someone who was releted to the magus world. Either an apprentice magus himself or someone who was working on behalf of a magus apprentice.
So if Weiss could meet with this person, her tasks of knowing about the magus world could become very easy. This was undoubtedly the best lead that she had gotten so far.
...
After finding something this important, Weiss was very satisfied. But still, she was going to interrogate the count. So she finally gave him a very limited amount of the antidote and made him to wake up.
After that Weiss tried and tested many of her interrogation methods.
She broke his fingers, allowed them heal up with a knight's powerful recovery ability and broke them again afterwards and repeated the same steps again and again.
She also tried to choke him with water and tried to make him scared by telling him that she would hand him over to the two Earth Overturning Great monsters.
But unfortunately for Weiss, none of these methods worked. Even though these methods were extremely useful against regular people and even apprentice knights, these methods were not useful at all against someone like Count Falgur, who was a proper knight with a very high tollerance of pain and also have a strong willpower.
So at last, Weiss was forced to kill the count off, as keeping him alive for any longer was getting more and more dangerous. So Weiss just beheaded him and left him to be eaten by other monsters.
Now she had killed the count, gotten the monster stone of the Earth Overturning Great monster and most importantly had gotten very valuable informations about the magi. So this expedition had been even more successful that what Weiss had expected it to be.
So now it was time for her to return to digest the gains to grow even stronger. And also to return back to her home, the Souran Territory where her loyal subordinates were.
