After Weiss had pushed the other two ladies away, suddenly a metallic wall appeared and blocked the stairs.

Weiss put her hand on the metal and immediately realised that this wall was also covered with the same kind of barrier that the count had used against the Earth Overturning Great monsters.

Weiss immediately used her sword to slash at the barrier and just as she had expected, she was not able to damage it even with her strength as a high level knight. Just like how the Earth Overturning Great monsters were unable to.

Last time, Weiss had not gotten the opportunity check out the barrier that was protecting the count as she had met him only after the barrier had disappeared.

But now that she have the opportunity to see and feel the barrier, Weiss could not help but start researching it right now, even though her current situation could be very dangerous.

As she was checking the metal wall and the barrier attached to it, she heard the sound of someone attacking the walls from the other side.

Even though this wall did have some functions of blocking the sounds from both sides, if the sound was powerful enough, it could bypass the wall and be heard to the other side.

With this in mind, Weiss used a lot of life force on her throat and started speaking. The sound that came out of her mouth would not sound loud to a regular person but it started to even slightly shake the solid metal wall.

"Don't do anything dangerous and just wait for me to come out. Only try to rescue me if I am not out of here even after three days."

This was the simple instructions that Weiss gave to the two ladies outside. She knew that telling them to just leave her would be impossible. Elise at least would never agree to this.

So she just told them to give her three days to investigate this first floor. If she could not find a way out even by that time, then she was going to give them more instructions at that time.

Her life force over boosted speaking attempt had completely destroyed her throat. So Weiss waited for some time for her throat to heal. Fortunately as she was a high level knight, this process did not take too much time.

After that she again started to research the powerful barrier. She did various experiments on it and attacked it in many different ways.

From all these experiments, she realised that this barrier was nowhere near as strong as she had thought it to be. The Earth Overturning Great monster were unable to break it only because they were beasts with very limited Intelligence.

Even though the resistance of this barrier against physical attacks was almost perfect, it was not so good if the physical attack was assisted by life force.

Regular life force boosted attacks were blocked by it without much trouble. But if Weiss used life force to disrupt the consistency of the barrier itself, it was not that hard to break.

With this find, Weiss immediately solved her trouble of being stuck here. She just needed to put a little bit of effort and she would be able to break through the barrier and then cut through the metal wall.

But she did not do so immediately. This place might have various dangerous magical traps. So bringing the other two ladies in here would be very dangerous.

For that reason, Weiss thought it would be the best if she first did a preliminary investigation of this place to make sure it was fine. Only then she would bring the other two ladies to assist her.

With this decision made, Weiss started it go further in the first floor. Just like the ground floor, this place also had quite a few rooms and she started to check them one by one.

The rooms in the ground floor had seemed a bit hollow. As if they were there just for decorations and no one had ever lived in one of these. But the rooms here in the first floor felt like well used rooms with some history.

There were several regular articles here. Most of them were badly damaged and were on the verge of destruction. But some of them had managed to withstand the corrosion of time and were somewhat intact.

Even though they did not have any material value, these things were a treasure trove of information for Weiss. So whatever intact thing she managed to find, she studied them thoroughly to find out who were the people who had once stayed in these rooms.

There were a lot less traps on this first floor. But all this small amount of traps were way too dangerous.

Not just that but most of the traps here were something that Weiss was unable to find with her regular senses. So she needed to depend on her illusory sixth sense to find them.

As for the people who were living here, they were the mortal followers of someone called the master Meister. And from some of the description of this master Meister person, Weiss was very sure that he was definitely someone from the world of the magi.

After about one day, Weiss was almost done investigating the whole floor. With less number of traps, it was actually easier than the ground one. Now there was only a single room left for her to check.

Even though Weiss had found a decent amount of information here, from material gain perspective, this was a disappointing floor. Probably because the servants lived here, that Meister person had not left behind anything good on this floor.

While thinking about this matter, Weiss entered the last room. And immediately after that she came face to face with a large puppet almost 8 meters tall. It's head was almost touching the celling of this room even though the celling here was quite a bit higher than the outside.

And as soon as Weiss had stepped foot inside the room, red orbs of light had started to glow in it's eye sockets. There was a pole arm like weapon in its hands and the puppet started to lift it up with a lot of terrifying momentum behind it.

So it looked like Weiss was soon going to have one of the toughest fights of her life.
