Jolene Aurora flinched as the face of Hitaju Aurora, her father, had changed into Liohime Kitagami, her Shinigami Soldier co-worker.

She instinctively released her grip on Liohime's neck in a split second as the boy sputtered, and she hastily raised her hands in order for her to not harm him any further, but the young man merely smiled mischievously and kicked her powerfully in the stomach, sending her sprawling back as he got up and dusted off his formal suit.

"You talk a lot of fucking shit about morality for someone who decided to ruin other people's lives just to make yourself feel good," he said, with the voice and tone that perfectly resembled Liohime.

Jolene stood up, petrified.

In front of her was someone who mimicked Liohime so well, it was as if it was really him. Her will to fight was slowly fading as she was being forced to fight people who had directly impacted her life, either negatively or positively.

Liohime circled her, as his military latex hat slowly began to form on his head, and he pulled it down firmly while keeping his eyes on her.

"We're just getting started, so how about we add a change of scenery?"

With a simple clap of his hands twice, the background, or rather, reality began to distort and disappear, before a new one emerged right in front of Jlene's eyes as she remained frozen in shock.

T-This is…

Screams abounded as men and women tried to flee the scene that was present, not paying any attention to her as they ran past her in absolute fear.

A cold smoky substance wavered and danced through the air, causing Jolene to shiver uncontrollably from the sudden change of temperature, while she looked around her.

She found herself in a large, spacious section of a mansion currently filtered with a frosty cold, and stared with terror at the young man with winter attire whose eyes glowed red in the hazy atmosphere.

"-hk, you…get the fuck out of that body, right now!!"

Somehow being able to access her past memories, this so-called Liohime Kitagami shook his head teasingly and replied:

"What, you want me out of this? Come and get me, then."

As soon as he said those words, the foggy cold, caused by a freezing system in the house made by Jolene herself years ago in order to kill her victims slowly, burst forward, completely masking her view of what was in front of her.

With no thick clothing to resist the frost, Jolene had no choice but to move forward as her body trembled.

S-S-SHIT….SHIT!!

Expecting a sneak attack, Jolene ran ahead without her katana, keeping her senses sharp.

Suddenly, she heard faint footsteps emerging, edging closer and closer, until-

"There!"

"HIYA, JOLENE!!!"

Liohime flew into her view, raising his right fist to strike, but Jolene prepared to catch it with her left palm.

What she did not realize, though, is that it was a feint attack, and Liohime sent a spinning kick into her side, slamming her into the wall.

Before a cry of pain could even be uttered, Liohime let a punch fly into her chest, smashing her through reality as the next scene unfolded.

Landing hard with her back facing the ground a few feet below, Jolene grunted in pain.

F-Fuck…

Just how could she keep up with someone who could use magic to such a complicated extent? This type of power was unheard of.

She tried her best to hoist herself upwards, before scoping out her new surroundings.

…I'm on a train.

Noticing that she was standing in the middle of a completely occupied train with passengers galore, she could sense a bad feeling.

"Where are ya looking? I'm right here."

With that voice, Liohime walked on towards her casually from the opposite end of the moving vehicle.

"You know," he continued, "this was the train that we took when we decided to go to the movies together. That was the day when I confessed to you and you rejected me. Sooooo sad."

Jolene's eyes wavered, and she bit her lower lip in frustration.

Why the fuck is this happening? Why am I being reminded of this?

"Ah, I still remember the time where I genuinely thought that our relationship was the one thing that made my life actually seem fulfilling."

Stop this. Get the fuck out of my head.

"Well, that was before you destroyed it completely, right? As always, that's how you are. You can never do anything fucking right."

Please….no more.

"You groomed me. You practically forced me into sex. You destroyed what we once had forever. Maybe you did deserve to get abused for so long, huh?"

I can't take this….not from someone who looks exactly like him, and talks like him. It's killing me on the inside.

"Jolene Aurora."

"-hk."

She looked at him, with her eyes watering, and noticed his smiling expression.

"Just die, already. You'll be doing the world a favor."

She stumbled back, and tried to crawl backwards, with her entire body being overwhelmed with fear and disgust of herself.

Liohime Kitagami was a product of her own selfishness.

She had to pay for it.

Maybe all of this was just the result of her stupid, horrible actions.

And just as Liohime began to kick off of the ground, with all passengers completely oblivious to what was going on around them, that's when she realized.

No.

…

Liohime Kitagami would never say those things.

She reached for her crossbow that was strapped behind her back, and let an arrow fly as she shot it at the young man.

Liohime barely sidestepped it, but he did not realize that an explosive was attached to the tip of the arrow.

With a sudden explosion that blew the front part of the train apart instantly, along with most of its passengers, the body of her opponent was hurled towards her due to the shockwave, and she pummeled him into the ground at the opposite end with her fist smashing into his abdomen.

Just before she had nearly lost her mind and accepted death, she had been reminded that this sequence was merely a figment of her fears and imagination.

This was still just a glorified dream, and she could still take control.

Because…

"DESPITE EVERYTHING….LIOHIME KITAGAMI….WOULD TELL ME TO KEEP LIVING!!!"
