Today, we're looking at the fight between Liohime and Jolene against everyone else! We might even get some post-fight interviews…

…Is what I would say if I weren't reading this story out for you right now, but it is what it is. Without further or do, let the pandemonium commence, ladies and gentlemen!

"[Magical Beast Summon: Groundworm]."

And would you look at that? Without any sign of hesitation, Harvey Hallvack has decided to make the first move, summoning his very own Magical Beast in the form of a human-sized earthworm with a series of twisted fangs at its front end.

The brownish-red slithering creature roared- yes, roared, as it awaited instructions from its Master while Harvey decided to engage in a little trash talk.

Thankfully, he's not here to kill the duo, or else this could have been over pretty quickly.

"There's no need to jump in, guys," he assured the other Shinigami Soldiers while inching closer. "I'll crush them with one move-"

His bragging was quickly cut off by Jolene's howling laughter, followed up with a sneer as she replied without fear.

"I feel so bad for you, Harvey Ballsack."

"It's Harvey Hallvack, dumbass!!!"

"And I feel bad for your Magical Beast," she continued, ignoring his correction, "cause I'm gonna have to get you a new one after I forcibly remove the contract between the both of you."

"Tch, you talk a big game with that mouth, but let's see if you'll still be talking big after this! Go now!!"

With that command, the beast slithered with pace and lunged forward at her, but with a quick sidestep, she dodged it.

"Is that all you-"

She couldn't finish her sentence, as he came to the realization that the attack had been a fakeout for a spinning tail strike that collided with her body, pummeling her against the wall as pain flooded through her instantly."

"GUH!!"

"BWAHAHA!! Now, you guys!!!"

Without delay, Harvey instructed the other members to move forward with their plans to immobilize both Liohime and Jolene, and Bica along with Ophiel charged toward the former, catching him off guard as his focus was broken, while Leah, who was not confident in her fighting ability, summoned her own Magical Beast.

For a split second, Liohime stepped backwards in order to protect Jolene, but as soon as he was closed down by the duo who sped into him, his instincts to defend himself kicked in, and he gnashed his teeth while entering a battle stance.

S-Shit, my body still feels a bit tired from all of the training that I did…I guess that this is what I get for not trusting Shihon's words until now.

The battle commenced. Ophiel's right hook was blocked, and a backfisted counter barely grazed his forehead as Liohime missed, and then the latter tilted his head just in time to avoid the roundhouse kick to his chest by Bica, who tried to do a leg sweep but to no avail.

T-These moves….aren't these guys just trying to hurt me!?

That was the main thought that remained in Liohime's mind as he defended himself. He tried to look for an opening as he deflected, stepped back, and moved around the room as he yearned for space, but the duo who closed him down did not give him what he desired.

After all, during the years that they became acquainted with each other, they knew his fighting style.

Liohime Kitagami was a man who thought too much as he fought, always thinking of a perfect solution to finish the match quickly. Therefore…

We need to keep him busy, and never let him get any space, Ophiel reminded himself. If we tire him out together as a team, we'll wear him down to a point where we can immobilize him within three minutes!

Meanwhile, Jolene hoisted herself up against the wall as both Leah and Harvey faced her cautiously.

"The prostitute and the woman abuser," she remarked while scoffing. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"Woman abu….!? You're already making up allegations because I'm already beating your ass!?"

"It's not an allegation if it's true. Look at you, bullying such a beautiful, sexy girl like me for no reason…" she replied with a cheeky grin, and Harvey almost fell for the ragebait if not for Leah stopping him in his tracks.

"L-Leah…."

"We'll restrain her together."

"...Yeah. Yeah, okay."

Keeping him in check, she merely pointed a finger at Jolene before declaring:

"[Let there be darkness, Eclipse.]"

And the black and white illuminated mutated rattlesnake that coiled to her left leg shook its tail violently, changing the entire landscape of Jolene's point of view to a haunting darkness, while the sound of her surroundings ceased to exist.

Leah and Harvey disappeared from her gaze. Liohime, Ophiel and Bica who were all dueling in the background also disappeared.

Everything except Jolene herself was removed from existence, but only in the Murder-For-Hire Shinigami Soldier's mind.

Did she just-

Fuck, that bitch just spammed her ultimate with her first move.

…Thank you, Jolene.

Her sense of hearing and sight had drastically lessened as she waited for an incoming attack, and within a split second, a large tail coiled around her body from nowhere, as if appearing from right underneath her.

At the same time, Liohime struggled to find control as direct blows soon made contact with his back and his chest.

He could not dodge forever, and he could not block all attacks.

He had been anticipating grappling attacks and movement that enabled his opponents to hold him in place, but he had been completely thrown off by attacks that were meant to physically hurt him.

That was it. They were trying to weaken him by force.

Trying to decide whether to keep barely enduring the assault until they had decided to move in for immobilization, a sudden PING went off within his mind.
