Alyndra was completely silent. The laughter had died down just like his smile and confidence.

"I have to say, though, it was a stupid ass move to reveal that to me. Future you see isn't absolute, but just a mere possibility, or you wouldn't have been able to avoid certain death when me first met…"

I moved to just an inch away from his face, "Now, I sure as hell won't let that happen."

"….Who in the world you think you are?" His voice deepened, staring coldly, "I have killed more vampires than you have met in your life."

I didn't reply as he looked smugly at me, turning back to Alya and Subaru, "Did you noticed this bum's sword and energy change?"

Alya nodded, "It completely vanished from him… The sword consumed it for the attack. But when the attack was released, it returned instantly, wrapping him up again." She rubbed her chin thoughtfully.

That invisible energy defending him was akin to negative gravity. It was obvious by now. The closer you got, the stronger the push will be.

And, he could also increase the density and placement of the energy, so when Kael had closed in to him, Alyndra had pushed that energy completely infront of him, which sent Kael flying.

All this, without taking a step. The gravity was everywhere and he could probably control of it. But—

"This man can only release or control a limited amount of gravity at a time. When he had slashed, it had taken away his protective shield." Subaru finished my thought with two nods.

"That's right! Also, increasing density makes the quantity decrease significantly. He could've controlled the gravity above us and crushed us into meat paste but tougher people would've require more density." I added with a smile as I saw Alyndra's lips part.

Alya clapped her hands, "At most he could crush only a handful. Meanwhile, he would need remove the gravity defending him, leaving him open to attacks."

"Stop ignoring me…" Alyndra growled, "Do you think that changes something? I can still crush everyone from where they stand while remaining invulnerable to when you reach me. It's just risky with his presence." He pointed at Subaru.

"Do you think you can move fast enough to reach me before I can just bend the gravity already around me?" He scornfully shook his head.

"We did not, bum. Anyways, Subaru, you are thinking the same thing as me, right?" I ignored Alyndra again, turning my back to him. He had no idea what rage bait was so I doubted he could defend against a pro like me.

"Combination of Infinity sword and the authority of existence can perfectly stop them." Subaru nodded, crossing his arms while glaring at Alyndra, daring him to attack. We could hear Alyndra's heart beating from where we stood as sweat covered his face.

Probably, the black sword with red patches was called infinity sword. Generic ass name Imo.

"C-can you still use it with your arcana depleted?" Alya's eyes widened. I could understand her, he just used it, and with current nerfs, he could do it again? Real server admin activities, being honest.

Subaru shook his head, making everyone in the room, disappointed, and Alyndra able to breathe again.

"I at present, have only seventy percent of my Arcana reserves. Infinity sword and authority usage combine would drain the exact amount. It would be too risky of a gamble to bet becoming useless at one stab."

We gave him an odd look. Didn't he use that shit costing 70% of his arcana on poor Kael while having probably a million other ways to save us from the flames? And how the hell he recovered it fast enough to still have 70% arcana left right now?

The math IS not adding up!

"That was different." Subaru sighed, "[Come back] allows me to recover my Arcana reserves instantaneously, ten times, to full, in a day. But, it has been disabled after the use of that artifact. What I was thinking was, I need to get it back before using the slash. What were you thinking, Lucien?" He explained.

Server admin for real! The fuck you mean recover all arcana ten times a day. It would make me literally impossible to kill. My jealousy calmed down when I realised I would possess 5x of this power some day.

It wasn't overpowered cheating if I had it, too. I nodded to myself before finally replying.

"…To attack with everyone and force his gravity to defend, while you use that sword and turn it off, than we jump and kill him." I shrugged.

"This is… a good plan!" Subaru's face brightened. "But—"

I didn't let him finish before I turned back towards Alyndra, his glimmering diamond white sword was falling towards me at absurd speeds.

Dash My figure blurred, crashing against the wall, dodging it by the hair, "We just gotta stall with my trick till you figure the artifact out, huh?" I asked with a dry chuckle. If we forced him to keep defending, he won't be able to make us meat pastes.

"Yes. You are a resourceful ally to have." Subaru's figure appeared besides the hopping hand, his lips curled into a genuine smile.

The diamond long sword released an invisible, massive slash, shattering through the grounds.

My face paled as I noticed the slash traveling towards still recovering slaves, the slash's radius wide enough to kill more than forty of them in an instant.

I tried to get up but even whisker paws couldn't block it without me taking massive damage, and, I wasn't fast enough to reach it.

I looked around to call for Subaru before my pupils dilated at a muscular body, with a middle aged face, Kobi's determined face, appeared in the slash's route.

"What the hell are you doing?" I yelled, my ears preparing for gut wrenching screams.

I could respect his spirit and determination but he would just join the causality list. I shut my eyes close, not wanting to see him die right infront of his daughter.
