THAMMMM!!

It made direct contact with his body, but it wasn't the sound of flesh exploding that hit me.

I blinked once, then twice, rubbing my eyes repeatedly. I was expecting blended flesh when I opened my eyes again, but it was just Kobi standing tall.

My eyes dimmed as I saw his chest bleeding profusely, a very deep sword wound covering every part of his upper chest. He somehow managed to block it but at what cost.

"[Consume.]" He muttered as his lip curled wide in a devious grin.

"Ren wouldn't worry about old man." A soft, high pitched voice suddenly pleased my ears as I turned towards it. it was Ren, with long black haired. But now, adorned in a long grey robe. I could still imagine what I had seen before when I looked in between her legs…

"Ren's right, Lucien." Zhenny Short body was completely hidden behind Ren's thickness. "Kobi's unique ability allows him to convert all damage into strength increase. He must have gotten a lot stronger after tanking that."

My eyes widened as Kobi's body glowed a violent green around the slash before I felt his power increase in real time.

"That is so broken…" I wasn't alone in stalling him. "You know what the plan is, right?"

Alya, Zhenny, Suge, Kobi, Ren, old man, Kael, and two other escaped slaves nodded instantly.

I certainly missed Vanitas and Jah right now. There was no sign of neither of them. Probably, only Alyndra could've killed Vanitas.

"You think of me as a fool?! I already know what you want to do!" Alyndra raised his voice, slashing his diamond sword hundreds of times in less than a second, all slashes targeted at me.

In the position I was, I couldn't have dodged even one. Almost five hundred were coming for me and my surroundings.

Whisker paws!! I raised my arms in a cross, shutting my eyes close. It won't do anything. My entire body would be cut in pieces. Even if I somehow survived, I would definitely be useless.

…But, no burning pain came.

I felt a strong grip on my waist as my body was yanked at absurd speeds. Next second, the grip on my waist loosened as I smashed hard against the ground, completely on the other side of the slashes.

I gripped my bleeding head with a wince, tasting bitter mud and metallic blood. My head was literally inside ground because of the force I was smashed with, breaking five of my teeth and a perfect fang, which made me feel like crying. That fang was beautiful.

I could see what had gripped me moving away with my blurred vision. It was a loose whip like beam of blood. Alya.

"Sorry, sorry, Luci! I am so sorry! My control had weakened a lot." She lowered her head with an apologetic face.

I slowly pulled my face out, shaking my head. She literally saved my life so why would I be mad for a minor injury, "It's oka–"

The words were caught in my throat as I saw her blood beam move in a straight line, grabbing one of the slaves perfectly to safety, placing him gently too.

D–Did she see me looking at Ren? I felt like screaming now.

Kael's eyes shook as all of his flaring hot flames had vanished. Even after countless tries, his skin was only able to look like a blown-out candle. One of his arms vanishing was another thing.

"I have to do this… I have to do this… I can do this… Please let me do this…"

I was kinda worried about Kael when I saw him whispering to himself, looking at the ground. His eyes were watering, too.

The next second, I had to close my eyes as gravel and dust flew violently towards me. When I looked at Kael again, his body had vanished from the spot, leaving behind a ten-meter-wide, deep crater.

I could hear my heart pounding.

"What has happened to that human?" Ren's voice was shaking as she stared at Kael with trembling eyes as he swung a right hook at Alyndra.

Alyndra himself was caught off guard at the sudden appearance, but he only smirked, as if he knew what had happened to Kael. "You hero organization folks are truly… a huge threat. I could never understand these decisions of yours, Kael."

Alyndra didn't call him a midget this time.

Alyndra tilted his sword with a forward slash that was invisible to me because of the sheer speed, definitely intended to cut through Kael's arm, using the speed of his fist against him. That slash could easily be extended to his entire body in one motion.

I was able to observe things more deeply as [Eye of Sanguine] had increased by three just in the narrow hallway, fighting.

Thwack!!

An ear-piercing explosion of pure energy rang as the fist, absurdly enough, wasn't cut by the sharpest long sword I had ever seen, blocking it.

Noticing the opportunity, Alya instantly raised her hand which was leaking a great amount of blood high, than slapped it towards Alyndra.

The blood, in a single motion, was an inch away from Alyndra's neck, traveling in a wild arc from breaking through ceiling and nearby walls to Alyndra's throat.

It was just paused, not deflected. In one look, I was certain most of the gravity was consumed by the sword still clashing against Kael's fist. Oh my god, this dude was awesome! C class was truly underrated.

This was a signal to everyone. I instantly leapt the distance between us, pulling out my long golden revolver before—

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Smoke and strong smell of gunpowder burning escaped the barrel as Alyndra's face paled, the long bullets were merely a centimeter away from his face, even their momentum wasn't killed.

"Let go of my sword!!" Alyndra cried with a boiling red face.
