With Gelda, Drake, and his friends surrounding the large golden egg sitting on the soft fur, they watched it for several moments.

Gelda pulled a large vial out of her pouch. It was a crystal vial. Inside was a golden liquid that sparkled like glitter. Carefully pulling the cork out, she set it next to her on the ground, then gently poured the liquid on the egg.

The egg immediately rocked gently.

Gently rubbing the golden liquid onto its surface, the egg rocked back and forth a little faster as it absorbed the golden liquid. After several moments of movement, cracks on the egg's surface formed. The cracks moved along the surface, making a gentle cracking sound. After a sudden pop, the egg split apart, revealing the baby inside.

The shell's pieces disintegrated in a cloud of glitter, which blew in the wind, spreading on the flowers and trees nearby. Their already vibrant colors brightened, with fresh flowers suddenly blooming. Even the surrounding trees fluttered in excitement as their own leaves grew lusher, making the area even more beautiful.

The baby, now lying on the soft fur, giggled and laughed as she tried to catch the glitter that was floating in the surrounding air. She looked like an ordinary baby; her pudgy, soft skin shone with a bright metallic gold as if someone had dipped her in liquid gold. Even her eyes were shining with a golden light.

Drake smiled, looking at the newly hatched baby. "I feel you gave us a gift. Watching your baby being born was truly a gift. Thank you," Drake said. He couldn't help the tears that fell from his eyes as he watched the baby in wonder. He was not expecting to witness such a magical gift.

Looking at his friends, Chad and Mike were wiping tears from their eyes. Both were smiling at the baby they had witnessed being born into the dimension. They were happy they could witness it. Both boys, hearing Drake's words, nodded in agreement. It was a gift.

Gelda watched the boys' reactions. It made her smile. She could see they understood what she gave them. It wasn't payment to her; it was a gift to them.

She gently picked up the infant and cradled her, watching the baby giggle. Her little arms were trying to catch the cloud of glitter that surrounded her small form. After kissing the infant, she held the child out for Drake to take. "Hold," she said, as he smiled down at the infant.

Drake didn't hesitate. He gently took the baby from its mother and held the newborn against his chest. Smiling down at her, he kissed her forehead. "Welcome, little one," he whispered.

The baby giggled, looking up at Drake.

To everyone's surprise, the infant's eyes glowed a bright green, showing she chose to ally with the boy who held her.

Drake grinned. "Well, now I will have to come back to see you," he whispered. After kissing the infant once more, he gently handed the baby back to its mother. When he looked up, Gelda's eyes were glowing a bright green as well.

Drake smiled. "I like her name. It's fitting. Daisy is a beautiful name."

Gelda nodded proudly. "You visit Daisy. She likes you."

"I will when I can. It depends on the quests, because some of them have time limits. I will visit when I can," Drake agreed.

Chad and Mike nodded. Each had an enormous grin on their faces as they looked at the infant, who was still laughing and trying to swat the cloud of glitter that surrounded her.

Drake wondered if the glitter would stay there until she grew up. He would have to make a point of visiting her when he could and would find out then. He wanted to bring the baby a toy, but was unsure what she would like. Bren would know what a baby troll would like.

With a second thought, he decided to ask Gelda. "We always go back to our own world to get supplies. There is a toy maker there that we visit each time. What kind of toy would Daisy like? I want to bring her something when we come back," Drake asked.

This made Gelda smile widely. "She will like a doll. Doll of a troll," she said as she smiled.

"Then I will see if I can get her a doll of a young troll," Drake promised. "I may have to have it made, but I will return with one for Daisy."

After spending nearly three hours playing with Daisy and watching Gelda feed her with a leather bottle, they began to pack up their items and prepare to leave. Gelda took out the pendant and handed it to Drake. "I thank you for bringing Daisy back to me. She was gone a long time," she said.

Drake, trying to ignore the many system messages, spoke to Gelda. "I must confess that I didn't know the significance of the golden egg when I first found it. All I knew was that I should return it to where it came from. I'm happy that Daisy was born safely. I was worried after being stored in a book for so long," Drake told her. "Thank you for the gift of allowing us to witness her birth."

After saying their goodbyes, Dake stood ready with his staff. Chad, Mike, and his two familiars huddled around them, waiting to be taken back to Draco Town.
