Cultivating in the Wizard World

Chapter 58: The Sudden Addition

Struggling with all their might but to no avail, several leaders were horrified in their hearts.

Back in their own kingdoms, they were considered top warriors or mages, yet here they were being suppressed, unable to move, by mere presence alone.

This power has completely surpassed their understanding of mortals!

By now, even the dullest of individuals could see that this arrangement seemed intentional by Priest Oswaldo, and he himself was definitely not simple.

"Oswaldo, why are you doing this?! Could it be... you are betraying our world?!" The leading Knight Order Commander forced these words out of his throat, his tone filled with pain and confusion.

Oswaldo seemed to have finished communicating with an unknown entity, only then did he have the time to turn his head and seriously look at the Knight Order Commander kneeling on the ground.

Upon hearing the question, Oswaldo revealed a strange, slightly playful expression.

"Don't misunderstand, I have never betrayed."

"Then what are you doing now?! Why did you send those troops there to lure that monster over?!" The Shaman Leader asked sharply.

Oswaldo squat unceremoniously in front of the Knight Order Commander, his nonchalant demeanor utterly unlike the dignified and solemn priest they remembered.

"Still don't get it? I've lifted the suggestion; use your brain and think carefully." Oswaldo pointed at his temple with a taunting tone, "Do you... really know Oswaldo as a person? Or rather, does this world truly have a priest named Oswaldo?"

All the leaders paused subconsciously.

In their minds, there indeed were names, identities, and even some details of plans involving "Oswaldo".

But after deep thought, their expressions turned incredibly horrified.

Because everyone found that this information about Oswaldo seemed to have appeared out of thin air in their minds, becoming something akin to common sense.

Apart from these key pieces of information, there was nothing else about him.

His past, his experiences, exactly when and how he joined the allied forces... all these key points were blurred, no one knew!

It was as if amidst the gathering of defeated soldiers, an extra presence had suddenly appeared.

A presence so strange and abrupt, one whose power far exceeded the mortal realm, why had they previously taken him so naturally as one of their own, entrusting him with their lives and the fate of the entire world?!

A coldness that penetrated to the bone crawled up their spines.

"But... you clearly can use the power of the God of the Sky!" A priest couldn't help but blurt out, his voice laced with disbelief, "Without being a priest of a divine spirit, how could you possibly wield divine power?! We can definitely recognize that power belongs to the divine spirit of our world!"

"Divine Power, you mean this?" Oswaldo turned to look at those priests with emotional expressions, a trace of disdain flickered in his eyes.

He thought for a moment, then flipped his hand, and something like a transparent glass ball appeared out of nowhere in his palm.

Within that glass ball, all the kneeling indigenous people saw a miniature figure desperately pounding against the ball's walls, issuing a silent roar but to no avail, as if trapped in an unbreakable cage.

Seeing this, not only the priests but also the other leaders and even the surrounding soldiers couldn't help but tremble all over, letting out whimpers of terror.

Although the figure had been shrunken significantly, they could recognize it at a glance.

It was none other than the appearance of the God of the Sky whom they faithfully believed in!

The deity whose statues were spread throughout the kingdoms of the entire plane, one of the twelve great Main Gods of the entire plane, a divine spirit everyone was taught to recognize from a young age!

Though shrunken, the essence of a divine spirit, the aura of a higher existence, still allowed mortals to discern at first sight the true identity of the god.

Yet, a deity so powerful, even revered, was now like a toy, sealed in a small glass ball and toyed with at the hands of an unknown presence?!

"For a small plane to birth Fourth Level creatures is certainly commendable; I hear your God King seemed to have reached the Fifth Level? Truly a fine specimen for experimentation." Oswaldo toyed with the glass ball in hand, his tone casual, as if evaluating an item.

"Too bad my hands were too slow; I only managed to catch a birdman..."

Before he could finish, some priests, overwhelmed by mental shock, couldn't help but let out a wailing cry and smashed their heads against the ground.

Looking at these indigenous people whose spirit and faith had been utterly shattered, Oswaldo's face showed no disturbance, merely shaking his head as though finding their weakness uninteresting.

With a wave of his hand, the God of the Sky, originally sealed within the transparent sphere, was compressed once more, and then an identical ball separated from the sealing sphere.

"Here, this thing contains the power of your divine spirit, and with a few priests, you should be able to communicate through it. In the future, it will be used to pass information to you, and someone will contact you later."

Finished saying this on his own accord, he immersed his consciousness in his heart, speaking a few more words with several High Tier Wizards stationed outside the plane of Nolun Academy.

Then, his figure began to distort slowly in the air, undulating like water, eventually disappearing entirely from the scene.

Inside the tent, only the kneeling indigenous people remained, faces filled with despair.

And the transparent glass ball that fell to the ground, reflecting an eerie glow.

Their world, their divine spirit, their hope, was utterly shattered at this moment.

They finally understood that what they were up against was not truly an "enemy" but a terrifying existence from a higher level plane wielding incomprehensible powers.

And their prideful revenge plan had been, from the start, nothing but an intricately designed game.

A long time passed.

The old Knight Order Commander, once a leader of the kingdom, shakily stood up, silent for a while, then bent down to pick up the transparent sealing ball.

"You..."

Some priests instinctively wanted to question him, but retreated under the sharp gaze of the old man.

"Do we... really have to follow their words?" A shaman couldn't help but ask in a bitter voice.

The old Knight Order Commander closed his eyes in painful agony, his hands trembling uncontrollably, his voice hoarse like rusty iron:

"This is... the last hope for our world."
