Cultivating in the Wizard World

Chapter 59: High Tier Wizards

"Not bad, a clever guy, saved us a lot of trouble."

In a hidden chamber of Nolun Academy, a group of wizards gathered as usual, watching Jeming's various performances in the Grayrock Realm displayed on the light screen above.

Oswaldo's figure slowly emerged. Although he had left the Grayrock Realm, he seemed able to directly observe the situation within the plane.

Seeing the old Knight Commander trembling as he picked up the sealing orb, his expression showed satisfaction:

"If he doesn't have any discernment, we would have to clean them out, and by then, we'll have to pull in some creatures from other planes."

"Thank you for your hard work."

A slightly bald figure nodded to Oswaldo, then refocused on the light screen above.

Oswaldo waved his hand indifferently: "It's nothing significant, these guys are no real challenge, just a warm-up at best."

Clark nodded slightly without saying more, just refocused his gaze on the light screen.

As Clark's thoughts shifted, the playback speed on the light screen suddenly accelerated, quickly replaying what Jeming had done over the past few days.

When Jeming hovered over the indigenous people's army, continuously casting fireball spells, even Clark couldn't help but show a hint of admiration in his eyes.

Oswaldo watched alongside, though he had always been present in the plane, his initial attention was more on Augusta and Horn. Seeing Jeming's journey, he couldn't help but be amazed:

"This kid's not bad, though he doesn't seem to have much curiosity, no wonder you contacted me separately to attract him to the battlefield."

"But his fireball power is quite impressive, the casting speed and duration... he might already be close to independently constructing a fireball witchcraft model as an apprentice, right?"

Oswaldo instinctively looked towards a particular wizard in the chamber, someone who was a rare genius known for independently constructing an offensive witchcraft model during the apprentice stage.

The wizard shook his head slightly: "Pretty close, although the properties are different, the destructive effect is not the same, but during my apprenticeship, I could probably achieve similar firepower."

"This kid's firepower duration is a bit short, but his short-term explosion is stronger than mine was back then. Overall, the level is very close. However..."

Watching the scene of Jeming single-handedly clearing the entire army on the light screen, this wizard couldn't help but sigh: "Apart from the fireball technique, this kid's flying skill and shield skill levels are quite impressive, unlike anything I managed during my apprenticeship."

Oswaldo clicked his tongue enviously: "Tsk tsk tsk... I'm really envious of such a genius, but if I'm not mistaken, this kid's construction should only include Alchemy and Deciphering Skills."

"Judging from the energy fluctuations... yes." The wizard instinctively looked at Clark while speaking.

Clark nodded without any avoidance: "His shield, flying skill, and fireball technique were all achieved through witchcraft artifacts."

"I could see that clearly enough, this kid finally revealed his hand." Oswaldo rubbed his hands together, looking at Clark with a flattering smile.

"Do you know how to make this kind of witchcraft artifact? I want to custom order some, willing to pay ten times the price!"

"I don't." Clark glanced at him.

"No way... really don't?"

"Really don't!"

"So it's this kid's self-developed technology?"

Oswaldo couldn't help but sigh towards the sky: "I'm doomed, then I won't be able to order equipment for a while!"

Wizards majoring in Alchemy were adept at creating witchcraft artifacts, but certain unwritten rules generally applied.

If it's a normal type of witchcraft artifact, there's no concern, just find a wizard of the corresponding level to order it.

But some special types of witchcraft artifacts are tricky to order.

Especially those with exclusive technology, by unwritten rules, these wizards generally only sell "products" that pose no threat to themselves.

By no threat, it generally means selling witchcraft artifacts of one level lower than their own.

Given Oswaldo's Fifth Level Wizard level, the minimum level of witchcraft artifact he wants to customize would also have to be Fourth Level, meaning he'd have to wait for Jeming to reach Fifth Level before it's possible to customize.

"It's really too late! I'll have to return to the battlefield in a hundred years!" Oswaldo seemed to be about to throw a tantrum, utterly lacking the demeanor of a High Tier Wizard.

Clark coldly looked at him: "You can choose not to go to the battlefield."

"Heh heh, that's definitely impossible." Oswaldo stopped his antics and cheerfully stood back in place.

"I'm counting on the resources from this next military duty to advance to Sixth Level Wizard."

The Wizard Civilization has an interesting phenomenon, where wizard apprentices dread military duty and war, but the higher-level official wizards anticipate the Plane Battlefield.

The concept gap about the battlefield is so large between the two that the Star Orbit Arbitration Court had to set rules requiring every High Tier Wizard to return to the civilization regularly to guide descendants or manage mortal territories.

For wizards above the Third Level, participating in plane warfare has even become a reward, requiring extra military merits or contribution points to exchange for the qualification to go to the front line.

Clark ignored this whimsical guy and turned to another wizard:

"Handling the connection with the Grayrock Realm is up to you, ensure they restore their population quickly, and if necessary, provide some resources as replenishment."

"Are you planning to make this trial a regular part of the academy?" The wizard across from him picked up on Clark's intention.

Clark nodded slightly: "In recent years, the quality of apprentices in the academy has been declining. This trial shows it's pointless just to tell them book knowledge; real understanding only comes through practice."

"Haha, after all, the front line is increasingly short of personnel, and recently even the requirements for High Tier Wizards to go to the battlefield have loosened quite a bit. Training apprentices certainly can't carry the same mortality rates as before."

Oswaldo laughed but then looked a bit concerned: "Conducting inter-plane trials every year is a good thing, but it means more resources being spent."

Don't be fooled by how easily the apprentices cross planes, each traverse unit requires extensive resource consumption.

"Just this one trial consumed enough materials and energy for a Sixth Level Wizard to conduct two topics."

"While the consumption is great, the effects are also quite remarkable, leave the resource and energy issue to the dean."

"Hahaha! Won't the dean be furious when he returns!"

"Alright, next issue, it's time to distribute the Talent Transformation Potion again..."
