The CEO's Wife Is a Medical Master

Chapter 472: A Little Guilty (4)

Chapter 472: Chapter 472: A Little Guilty (4)

Vera Xavier had been waiting for her grandmother to say just that and immediately shut the door.

Her grandmother casually commented from outside, "What’s the big rush? Got a guilty conscience or something?"

Vera Xavier was speechless.

’It wasn’t that she had a guilty conscience. She was just hiding someone in her room. An eighteen-year-old girl hiding a grown man in her room—that was far more scandalous than any guilty deed.’

Just to be safe, in case her grandmother decided to double back on her, Vera Xavier immediately switched off the lights after shutting the door.

Once she was sure her grandmother had gone downstairs, she let out a sigh of relief. But before she could even celebrate, Nathaniel Nathan had already pushed her down onto the bed, his lips crashing onto hers.

Vera Xavier was speechless.

’Young Master Nathan, aren’t you being a bit too hasty?’

While kissing her, Nathaniel Nathan whispered, "Did you miss me?"

Remembering his own coy behavior from before, Vera Xavier decided to play along. "Nope."

Her answer only earned her a deeper, more demanding kiss from Nathaniel Nathan, one that left her body pliant and weak.

He asked again, "Did you miss me?"

Vera Xavier stubbornly replied, "No."

This time, however, Nathaniel Nathan was no longer satisfied with just a kiss. His hand slipped under her clothes, caressing her smooth skin as his own breathing grew ragged.

After a long moment, he asked in a hoarse voice, "Did you miss me?"

At this point, how could Vera Xavier dare not tell the truth? "I did. I missed you so much!"

"Me too," Nathaniel Nathan murmured, pinning her firmly to the bed, wanting to take more.

In the dim light filtering through the window, Vera could see his deep-set eyes glowing like a wolf on the hunt, as if he could tear her limb from limb and devour her at any second.

’She wasn’t afraid of this side of him, but this was the Preston family home, and her grandparents were right downstairs. If they made any noise, she’d be too mortified to ever show her face again!’

She bit her lip gently and whispered, "Nathaniel, tonight isn’t a good time."

Nathaniel Nathan already knew that; she didn’t have to say a word.

After she spoke, she squirmed unconsciously. The movement made Nathaniel Nathan hiss, and he pressed her down. "Don’t move."

’Vera Xavier could feel how tense his body was. There was no way she’d dare to move now!’

’Nathaniel Nathan felt this was hardly a punishment for Vera; it was pure self-torture. It was getting harder and harder for him to control himself whenever they were alone. The self-discipline he took such pride in always shattered the moment he was in front of her.’

With a quiet sigh, he rolled over and lay down beside her.

Vera didn’t dare provoke him again. She just turned over to face him and asked, "Nathaniel, are you okay now?"

"Are you asking because you want to help?" Nathaniel Nathan’s voice was still laced with huskiness.

Vera Xavier was speechless.

’What could she do about that? Forget it. Best not to even think about it...’

After another long moment, Nathaniel Nathan said in a low voice, "Vera, I think I’m going to die of frustration if this keeps up. Let’s announce our marriage."

Vera Xavier thought for a moment. "Okay."

Nathaniel Nathan had only said it offhandedly, not actually expecting her to agree. He immediately rolled over, propping his head up with one hand to look at her in the dim light from the window. "What did you just say?"

Vera Xavier bit her lip lightly. "I said okay."

’Although she was still a little scared of him, she knew deep down that he was genuinely good to her. Besides, they had already gotten their marriage license; announcing it to the public wasn’t that big a deal.’
