Chapter 804 - 394: Hypnotizing Zhou Ze

Chapter 804: Chapter 394: Hypnotizing Zhou Ze

Chen Mo led Zhou Ze into the hypnosis room and had him lie back on a comfortable recliner.

"Zhou Ze, look into my eyes." Chen Mo’s voice turned soft and slow. "Relax slowly. Don’t think about anything..."

Zhou Ze’s gaze gradually grew unfocused as his breathing evened out.

"You feel very sleepy now. You really want to sleep..." Chen Mo continued guiding him. "You’ve entered a dream, a very real dream..."

Zhou Ze’s eyelids slowly drifted shut, fully entering a hypnotic state.

"Where are you right now?" Chen Mo asked softly.

"I... I’m in a pitch-black place..." Zhou Ze’s voice sounded faint and distant. "So many bugs... So many black bugs..."

"Don’t be afraid. The bugs won’t hurt you," Chen Mo soothed. "What do you see?"

"I... I’m wrapped up in the bugs..." Zhou Ze’s voice trembled with fear. "They’re taking me into a cave..."

"What’s in the cave?" Chen Mo continued guiding him.

"A... A huge monster..." Zhou Ze’s body began to shiver. "It... It wants to control me..."

"Did you fight back?" Chen Mo asked.

"I... I fought back..." Zhou Ze’s voice was weak. "But... I was no match for it..."

"What did it do to you?" Chen Mo pressed.

"It... injected some kind of black liquid... into my body..." Zhou Ze’s voice grew weaker. "I... I feel like I’m... going to die..."

"No, you won’t die." Chen Mo’s voice turned firm. "You will live, and you will defeat it!"

"Can... Can I defeat it?" Zhou Ze’s voice carried a hint of bewilderment.

"Yes!" Chen Mo said with absolute certainty. "You are very strong. You will definitely defeat it!"

"I..."

Slowly, Chen Mo woke Zhou Ze from his hypnotic state.

"Zhou Ze, wake up," Chen Mo called out softly.

Zhou Ze slowly opened his eyes, a trace of confusion lingering in his gaze.

"What... What happened to me?" Zhou Ze rubbed his temples, seemingly nursing a headache.

"You just had a dream," Chen Mo said calmly. "A dream about being attacked by a monster."

"A monster?" A flash of fear crossed Zhou Ze’s eyes. "I... I think I did dream about that..."

"What did you dream about?" Chen Mo prompted.

"I... I dreamed that I was taken away by a lot of black bugs..." Zhou Ze said haltingly. "They took me to a cave, and there was a huge monster there...

"It... It wanted to control me, and it injected me with some kind of black liquid...

"I... I felt like I was going to die..."

"And then?" Chen Mo continued guiding him.

"And then..." Zhou Ze frowned, struggling to recall. "And then I don’t remember anything else..."

"That’s good." Chen Mo smiled. "You’ve already remembered a lot of details."

"Rest assured, Zhou Ze, we’ll help you find that monster," Li Chang’an chimed in at just the right moment. "We’ll avenge you."

"Thank you..." Zhou Ze said gratefully.

"Don’t mention it," Li Chang’an smiled. "Get some good rest. We’ll come visit you often."

"Mhm..." Zhou Ze nodded.

Li Chang’an and Chen Mo left the hypnosis room.

"Beautifully done, Chen." Li Chang’an gave him a thumbs up.

"Piece of cake." Chen Mo smiled. "But this is just the first step. What comes next is the crucial part."

"I know," Li Chang’an nodded. "I’ll make Zhou Yuanshan believe that Zhou Ze has already been controlled by the monster."

"Are you sure about this?" Chen Mo asked.

"One hundred percent," Li Chang’an said confidently. He had already laid a flawless trap, just waiting for Zhou Yuanshan to take the bait.

Li Chang’an brought Zhou Ze back to the base.

"Get some rest, Zhou Ze. Don’t think too much," Li Chang’an said, settling him in before leaving the medical bay. Returning to his office, he immediately contacted Su Wan and Lin Yuan.

"The plan is going smoothly," Li Chang’an reported the situation to them. "Zhou Ze has been ’hypnotized’ by us. He is now thoroughly convinced that he was attacked and controlled by a monster."

"Excellent." Su Wan nodded. "Next, it all depends on Zhou Yuanshan’s reaction."

"He will definitely come looking for us," Li Chang’an said with absolute certainty. "He won’t give up on Zhou Ze."

"We’ll be waiting for him," Lin Yuan said slowly, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

A revenge plan targeting the Galaxy Group was proceeding systematically. Meanwhile, Zhou Yuanshan was kept completely in the dark, entirely unaware that he had become the prey, walking step by step into the elaborate trap Li Chang’an had set for him.

Time ticked by minute by minute. Just as expected, Zhou Yuanshan did not "disappoint" Li Chang’an.

The next day, he once again arrived at the Interstellar Warrior Base.

"Li Chang’an, I want to see Zhou Ze!" Zhou Yuanshan bellowed aggressively the moment he stormed into the command center.

"Chairman Zhou, there’s no need to rush." Li Chang’an stood up from his seat unhurriedly. "Zhou Ze is currently resting. If there’s anything on your mind, you can tell me."

"Tell you?" Zhou Yuanshan sneered. "Can you even call the shots?"

"Of course." Li Chang’an smiled. "I am now taking full responsibility for Zhou Ze’s matters."

"Fine, then I’ll tell you." Zhou Yuanshan marched right up to Li Chang’an, his gaze sinister. "What exactly is going on with my nephew?"

"Chairman Zhou, didn’t you already know?" Li Chang’an played dumb. "Zhou Ze was attacked by a monster and lost his memory."

"Lost his memory?" Zhou Yuanshan snorted coldly. "I think he’s being controlled by you lot, isn’t he?"

"Controlled?" Li Chang’an feigned surprise. "Chairman Zhou, where is this coming from?"

"Cut the crap!" Zhou Yuanshan roared. "Has my nephew been controlled by some method of yours?"

"Chairman Zhou, your imagination is entirely too vivid." Li Chang’an shook his head. "We in the Battle Team Alliance don’t have that kind of capability."

"Hmph. I know very well whether you do or not." Zhou Yuanshan’s tone turned dark. "Let me warn you, Li Chang’an, you’d better not pull any tricks, or I’ll make you suffer the consequences!"

"Chairman Zhou, please rest assured, I am absolutely not pulling any tricks." Li Chang’an’s tone was sincere. "Zhou Ze’s condition is indeed very unusual, but he has definitely not been controlled by us."

"Unusual?" Zhou Yuanshan narrowed his eyes. "Unusual how?"

"He..." Li Chang’an hesitated, as if he had something unspeakable to hide.

"Speak!" Zhou Yuanshan shouted sternly.

"Zhou Ze..." Li Chang’an sighed. "He seems to have been controlled by the monster."

"What?!" Zhou Yuanshan’s expression changed drastically, his voice pitching higher. "What did you just say? Say it again!"

"Zhou Ze has been controlled by the monster," Li Chang’an repeated, his tone heavy.

"How... How is that possible?" Zhou Yuanshan was in disbelief. "Didn’t he... Didn’t he lose his memory?"

"He did, but..." Li Chang’an paused. "But he still remembers some fragments, like being taken away by bugs and being controlled by the monster..."

"He said this himself?" Zhou Yuanshan pressed.

"Yes," Li Chang’an nodded. "We put him under hypnosis, and he ’recalled’ more details."

"Hypnosis?" Zhou Yuanshan’s eyes flickered. "You hypnotized him?"

"That’s right," Li Chang’an admitted frankly. "To help him recover his memory, we brought in a professional psychologist to hypnotize him."

"And the results?" Zhou Yuanshan asked urgently.

"The results..." Li Chang’an sighed. "The results are very pessimistic.

"He ’recalled’ the process of being controlled by the monster. What’s more, he said he feels like he’s... going to turn into a monster soon."

"What?!" Zhou Yuanshan’s eyes went wide with terror. "That... That’s impossible!"

"Chairman Zhou, I also hope it’s impossible," Li Chang’an said solemnly. "But that is the truth."

"How is Zhou Ze doing right now?" Zhou Yuanshan’s voice trembled slightly.

"His condition is very poor." Li Chang’an shook his head. "He drifts in and out of lucidity, and..."
