The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 187: "Who Dared to Anger You? I’ll Avenge You.

Chapter 187: Chapter 187: "Who Dared to Anger You? I’ll Avenge You.

Renee Jennings glanced at Roy Colton’s face, flushed with anger, and said slowly, "Officers, you heard her yourselves. Chloe Scott has confessed to her crimes against Roy Colton. You can take her into custody."

"I..." Chloe Scott raised a hand to cover her mouth, filled with regret.

’This damn mouth of mine, why did I have to admit it!’

An officer walked up to her and produced a pair of silver handcuffs. "Ms. Chloe Scott, please hold out your hands."

The sight of the handcuffs made Chloe Scott’s heart sink. She shot Renee Jennings a vicious glare, then whipped her head around to face Roy Colton. "Roy, do you really have to be this cruel? It’s not like you lost anything!"

Roy Colton couldn’t believe someone could be so utterly shameless.

He looked at Chloe Scott and said coldly, "Don’t worry. I’m going to see this through to the very end."

The officer handcuffed Chloe Scott and led her away.

Roy Colton looked at Renee Jennings and bowed deeply. "Thank you so much for your help!"

"You’re welcome." Renee Jennings gave a faint smile. "Now that the problem is solved, I’ll be taking Cici home. Goodbye."

"Wait!" Roy Colton called out, stopping her. His cheeks were still slightly flushed, and his expression was nervous and flustered. "I’d like to repay you, is that okay?"

"Repay me?" Renee Jennings turned to look at him, raising an eyebrow. "And how do you plan on doing that?"

Roy Colton pressed his lips together, his voice barely a whisper. "Could I... treat you to dinner?"

"There’s no need. I’m meeting a friend," Renee Jennings said with a smile. "Sleep well tonight."

With that, she walked straight out the door with Cici in her arms.

Roy Colton stared blankly at her retreating figure.

「Meanwhile.」

Michelle Fuller and Sean Fuller had come to the hospital early in the morning to keep Mr. Fuller company.

The door to the hospital room was suddenly pushed open from the outside.

When Michelle Fuller saw who it was, her expression darkened instantly. "What are you doing here?" she snapped. "You’re not welcome!"

Ronan Fuller entered the hospital room with a strangely dressed man. A mocking smile spread across his gaunt, wrinkled face. "Michelle, I’m your uncle, you know. How can you be so rude? Third Uncle, take a look at this. Your granddaughter is being completely unreasonable!"

Mr. Fuller frowned at him, his old, haggard face filled with displeasure. "Ronan, Michelle is right. You are not welcome here!"

Ronan Fuller stood by the hospital bed, a cold smile on his face. "Third Uncle, I’m your nephew. If you treat me like this, aren’t you afraid my parents will rise from their graves just to come and drag you down with them?"

"Who do you think you’re cursing?" Sean Fuller shot to his feet, a dangerous glint in his eyes.

"It was just a joke. Don’t get so worked up," Ronan Fuller said with a chuckle. "The fact that I came all this way to see my uncle proves I don’t want him to die."

"Stop the act. You’re the one who made my grandfather so angry he collapsed, and then you just left him for dead," Michelle Fuller said, looking at him with pure disgust.

Ronan Fuller’s smile never wavered. "Now, now, my dear niece, no need to use such ugly words. How was I supposed to know my uncle’s health was so fragile? Besides, he’s fine now, isn’t he?"

"Just get out!" Michelle Fuller clenched her fists. "You’re fouling the air in here."

"My dear niece, don’t get too carried away!" Ronan Fuller’s expression darkened. "If I wasn’t concerned about my uncle and you, I wouldn’t have even bothered to come."

Sean Fuller said coldly, "My grandpa and my sister don’t need concern from a scumbag like you!"

Ronan Fuller shot him a harsh glare. "My dear nephew, this doesn’t concern you!"

"Here." He pushed the short man beside him, who was wearing a black leather jacket and green leather pants, in front of Michelle. "Michelle, this is Leo. He’s your aunt’s nephew. The poor boy has had a secret crush on you, so today I’m taking the liberty of setting you two up on a blind date right here."

"Him?" Sean Fuller laughed in disbelief. "My sister’s not a fan of short, round gourds. You can keep him and stew him in a soup for all I care!"

The corner of Ronan Fuller’s mouth twitched, and Zion Sutton looked none too pleased.

"What nonsense are you spouting?" Ronan Fuller snapped. "Your sister couldn’t find a man like Leo even if she searched with a lantern."

"Of course she couldn’t!" Sean Fuller sneered. "You can’t even see a short little gourd in a field with a lantern."

"You—!" Zion Sutton was humiliated. He wanted to curse but held back. "Hey, little brother-in-law, haven’t you ever heard that the best things come in small packages?"

"Give me a break!" Sean Fuller was utterly disgusted. "Who are you calling brother-in-law? And ’best things come in small packages’? You’ve got to be kidding me! So shameless!"

"Uncle!" Zion Sutton cried out unhappily.

Ronan Fuller’s face was black as he snapped, "Sean Fuller, I’m introducing him to your sister. It’s not your place to run your mouth."

"Are you going to get out or not?" Michelle Fuller snatched up a fruit knife and pointed it at them. "If you don’t, don’t blame me if I’m cutting fruit and my hand ’slips’!"

"Get the hell out!" Sean Fuller added, grabbing a stool and starting to herd them toward the door.

Seeing this, Ronan Fuller and Zion Sutton exchanged a look before leaving the room with sullen expressions.

***

Renee Jennings had just gotten in her car when she received a call from Michelle Fuller.

She put the call on speaker, fastening her seatbelt as she spoke. "Michelle, I was just about to take Cici home and then come find you at the hospital."

"Renee..." Michelle Fuller’s voice was choked with sobs. "I’m downstairs at the hospital."

"Why are you crying?" Renee Jennings frowned, asking urgently, "What happened?"

Michelle Fuller sniffled. "It’s nothing major, I just got really angry. Come on over, we can talk while we eat."

"Okay, I’m on my way." Renee Jennings dropped Cici off at home, then went to a cafe near the hospital to find Michelle Fuller.

"Renee." Michelle Fuller waved at her.

Renee Jennings walked over, gently stroking the top of her friend’s head. "Who dared to make you this angry?" she asked with concern. "Tell me, and I’ll get revenge for you."

"It was that bastard Ronan Fuller," Michelle Fuller said, clenching her fists in fury. "I swear I could tear him limb from limb!"

"Calm down first, it’s not worth getting sick over," Renee Jennings said, patting her shoulder as she sat down opposite her.

"You’re right. I can’t let trash like that make me sick!" Michelle Fuller took a deep breath, trying to compose herself.

Just then, a waiter brought over two small cakes.

Renee Jennings handed her a fork. "Have some cake. It’ll help."

After she’d finished her cake, Michelle Fuller finally started to explain. "I called Ronan Fuller this morning. He actually picked up, but he was so unbelievably shameless."

When Ronan answered, Michelle had confronted him, demanding to know why he’d angered her grandfather to the point of collapse and then just walked away instead of calling for help.

Ronan had shot back: *When did I make the old man collapse? You can sleep with whomever you want, but you can’t go around making baseless accusations.*

"His tone was just disgusting," Michelle Fuller said with a look of revulsion.

"I can imagine." Renee Jennings nodded, then added, "And then?"

"He said he was coming to see Grandpa, and I told him no. But somehow he found the room anyway. And he brought his wife’s nephew with him, saying he was going to set me up on a blind date..." Michelle Fuller said through gritted teeth. "He’s completely insane!"

She took a sip of coffee before continuing, "I was worried it would affect Grandpa’s condition, so Hank and I just threw them out."

Renee Jennings thought that would be the end of it, but she was wrong...

Michelle Fuller’s expression was grim. "I thought they’d left, but I didn’t expect his wife’s nephew to be waiting outside the door. The moment I stepped out, he dragged me into the stairwell."
