Then he shot straight down, continuing his pursuit to kill her.

"Daniel, you and the others stay here and deal with the Giant Dragon! I’m going to help Catherine!"

Aluba anxiously chased after Ronin, trying to engage him, but Ronin completely ignored him.

After dealing with that troublesome array, Ronin had decided to clear out the weaker enemies first before facing Aluba.
