Chapter 2833: Chapter 2834: Differences and Similarities
Olao usually speaks in a casual, carefree manner; seeing him in such a heartfelt conversation is rare.
Adanis often mocks Olao for being too unconventional and lacking proper demeanor. But when Olao actually talks to her seriously, Adanis feels that the carefree Olao, who seems to have no worries, might be more suitable for him.
Adanis: "Then tell me, what secret is he hiding that makes you so certain he has the answers you seek."
Olao: "They’re almost here. Once they arrive, I’ll naturally reveal the answer to you."
Adanis gave a gentle wave, and a tall chair from the far side of the long table came flying over. She sat on the chair, naturally crossing her legs.
"Alright, I’ll listen to you this time." Adanis raised an eyebrow, "But are you sure he can find a way into the Sunny Poetry Room?"
Olao was about to reply, but Adanis interrupted him, "I know you have the authority to let people into the Sunny Poetry Room. However, since you hold him in such regard, he should manage to get in on his own, without your aid."
Adanis: "Even though I don’t like talking about the contract Augustine left, I must mention it now. Don’t forget the clause in the contract."
"Without his approval, the barrier at the entrance to the Sunny Poetry Room must not be removed."
Adanis squinted, "I’ll be here watching you closely. If you breach this boundary and let them in voluntarily, that would be a betrayal of your master, Augustine."
Olao fell silent.
Indeed, Adanis was right. According to Augustine’s contract, he couldn’t remove the barrier at the Sunny Poetry Room’s entrance.
Furthermore, in the contract, only those of Noah bloodline qualify to enter the Sunny Poetry Room’s door.
That means only the apprentice outside, and that peculiar nose, can enter the Sunny Poetry Room.
The individual Olao favored, might very well be unable to come in.
This is why Adanis sits here, watching him closely, simply put, to monitor and warn him that violating the contract amounts to betraying Augustine.
Moreover, even if you possess the Noah bloodline, there’s still a threshold to entering the Sunny Poetry Room’s door—the key.
Olao can open the door from the inside, but since Adanis mentioned the contract and is "monitoring" him here, naturally, she won’t allow him to open the door.
This means, for those out there to come in, they must meet two conditions: possessing the key and the bloodline.
This truly is a bit challenging.
Olao suddenly regrets; perhaps he shouldn’t have stopped Adanis earlier. If he had just let Adanis rush out, he could’ve opened the door as a matter of course.
Even if Adanis faced difficulty battling Angel and the others, he could’ve found a way to save her.
At least this way, the door is opened, lessening one of the conditions to enter: the key.
But now, the door remains unopened, and Adanis doesn’t intend to go out, just sitting there, staring at him rigidly, evidently wanting to use the contract as a directive to restrain him.
The former Adanis greatly disregarded the contract and discouraged Olao from mentioning it. Unexpectedly, despite her disdain, Adanis remembers its contents well, and now she uses the contract to bind his hands and feet.
Olao cannot refute at this time, so he can only remain silent in response.
Now, everything still depends on whether those outside can possibly enter the Sunny Poetry Room.
Even without a key... there’s actually still a way to get in. For instance, You Nu has come to the Sunny Poetry Room before, didn’t use the main entrance.
While saying this, Olao’s heart still harbors little hope.
Perhaps, he’ll end up violating the contract’s clauses Augustine drafted... and the backlash from breaking these clauses shouldn’t be lethal.
While Olao thinks this, footsteps are already echoing from outside.
Even through a stone door, Olao and Adanis can hear the rustling voices outside.
"Is this the Sunny Poetry Room’s door? Eh, why is it a wall?" A gruff male voice reached their ears, "As expected, it’s a secret rendezvous spot, replacing the door with a wall, leading people to believe it’s a dead end, but inside is a haven~"
Upon hearing this voice, both Olao and Adanis furrowed their brows.
These words privately would be fine, but saying these slanderous things now, even though not face-to-face—well, they haven’t entered yet, so it’s not face-to-face—is surely asking to live short.
Olao seemed enraged and stood up, as if intending to go out and beat the person.
But as soon as Olao stood up, Adanis glanced over and silently mouthed, "Don’t think about using any method to open the door from the inside; pretending indignation doesn’t count, either."
Olao instantly grew dispirited, giving a dry laugh, "How could I be that kind of person? Hehe."
Adanis said blandly, "Just wait and see if they’re eligible to come in. If they truly manage to enter... I’ll accept it. But if you help them come in, I definitely will not recognize it, regardless of your approach."
Having said this much, Olao could only sit down with a resigned air.
At the same time, he glanced toward the door.
With the ability he and Adanis possess, they can naturally see what’s happening outside. But due to the barrier, the outside can’t view the interior of the Sunny Poetry Room.
At this moment, four people and one nose have gathered outside.
Among them, Angel and the Black Earl are observing the wall, while Dox and Vay, as usual, are bickering. Kaier holds a Photostone, constantly changing angles, shooting the wall.
"Dox, no one thinks you’re mute if you don’t talk. This, after all, is our ancestor’s legacy, you call this a haven? You have a death wish?"
"You say I have a death wish? You want to fight me?" Dox walked over to Vay, using his height and size, propped his hand on Vay’s shoulder, snorted, "If that’s your plan, wait until you become an Official Wizard."
"By the way, even if you become an Official Wizard, you certainly can’t beat me, for I am a Bloodline Wizard. After you spend decades catching up, I’m sure I’ll already be a True Knowledge Wizard. Your whole life, you’ll just be chasing after me."
Vay, bloodshot eyes and desperately wanting to hit Dox, couldn’t move his shoulder pressed by Dox and could only glare at him intensely.
Dox: "Why glare at me. Also, don’t think of using Lord Black Earl to pressure me; I’m not who I used to be, I have backing now. If Lord Black Earl wants to press me, he might want to consult Lord Rhein!"
Vay coldly snorted, "My lord and Lord Rhein are close allies; do you think Lord Rhein would create conflict with my lord for you?"
Vay: "And also, you haven’t been acknowledged yet! What happened to the freedom you insisted on before? Now you’re all about relying on others, embarrassing!"
Dox, who usually lacks shame, felt a bit hurt when Vay mentioned "freedom."
Dox fell silent, released Vay’s hand, while Vay arrogantly walked away, looking triumphant.
Vay turned and approached Angel. His previous haughty demeanor immediately vanished, and he humbly asked: "Master, what are we waiting for now? Is there another trap or test here?"
Earlier, they thought the Infant Spirits were the final test, but unexpectedly, they faced another Mana Storm. Fortunately, with the great Angel around, they smoothly passed the test of the Magical Energy Array and finally reached their destination.
But Vay and Dox had been talking for quite a while, so why hadn’t the door opened yet? Vay immediately wondered if there might be another test.
"Entering the door is itself a test," Angel said flatly.
There are two tests for entering the door. First, the key. Without the key, you can’t enter. Angel didn’t believe any other Alchemist in the Southern Domain could create the key blueprint Kaier had... even if they could refine one, they wouldn’t pass the Alchemy Omen.
Second, the bloodline. The Wise Sovereign previously stated that only those with the Noah bloodline could enter.
So, originally entering already had tests, and they were dual tests.
However, neither test posed a problem for them now. The key is with Angel; as for the Noah bloodline, both Vay and the Black Earl are present.
Therefore, entering isn’t difficult.
Angel had delayed opening the door simply to admire this wall a little longer.
In the Nightmare Realm, this wall was Angel’s nightmare. In his life, it was the first time he felt pain so severe he thought he was better off dead, eventually fainting; approaching this wall in the Nightmare Realm caused it.
Although after waking, Angel gained numerous benefits, including increased Mental Power Value, the pain was unforgettable for him throughout his life.
In the Nightmare Realm, he could only gaze at this wall from a hundred meters away. Now, he could observe it from such a close distance, so naturally, Angel wanted to photograph every detail in memory.
Nonetheless, after careful observation, Angel confirmed this wall was genuinely different from the one in the Nightmare Realm.
The Nightmare Realm’s wall was a super powerful Wave Energy Weapon, and the densely packed patterns on it were completely different from this one.
Although this wall also had Magic Patterns, Angel could understand them.
Whereas the wall’s patterns in the Nightmare Realm, even now, left Angel confused. Whether they were Magic Patterns was another matter.
Furthermore, the Nightmare Realm’s wall had flowing glimmers almost visible, but compared to this wall, it seemed somewhat dull.
Angel didn’t feel disappointed; if it was indeed like the Nightmare Realm wall, he dared not even approach it now.
Additionally, this wall and the Nightmare Realm wall weren’t entirely without commonalities, such as the hole in the wall’s center, which existed both in the Nightmare Realm and reality.
This hole is the keyhole.
If the keyhole in reality could be opened with a key, could the one in the Nightmare Realm be opened too?
A fire of excitement ignited in Angel’s heart.
Calming his emotions, Angel softly said: "I’ve pretty much observed everything that needed observing; it’s time for the final step."
Everyone’s gaze shifted to him.
Angel clearly intended to open the door.
However, before opening the door, Angel directed his attention toward Vay and the Black Earl.
In their puzzled expressions, Angel took two small, oval water crystals from his bracelet and handed them to them.
"Is this... a Photostone?" The Black Earl immediately recognized the items.
Unlike ordinary Photostones, this small and transparent Photostone is top-tier. Furthermore, it features a floating and following function, capable of recording everything around at all angles.
This is much higher-end than Kaier’s Photostone. Kaier needed to manually align the stone to record behind him, making automatic, full-angle recording impossible.
"Yes," Angel said with a smile: "Created by the Research and Development Institute, top quality guaranteed."
Indeed, this Photostone came from the Research and Development Institute, but Angel had made some subsequent modifications, enabling automatic following, with a high-strength defensive Mana Array attached outside, impervious to lava or the Void above.
This was Angel’s special preparation for future ventures into the Nightmare Realm; its environment might not be easy to recall from memory, requiring Photostone assistance to record surroundings, automatically, without worry of damage.
Of course, whether this modified Photostone could capture the Nightmare Realm’s scenes was untested. Sanders had tried capturing with a Photostone before, but nothing was recorded.
Angel had once successfully recorded with a Holographic Tablet, providing him the experience for these modifications, to prepare for future explorations.
Although prepared for the Nightmare Realm, for now, he intended to lend it to the Black Earl and Vay.
"According to the Wise Sovereign, Qingkong Poetry Room only welcomes descendants of the Noah bloodline. So, I likely can’t continue; thus, I leave the Photostone with you."
"I simply ask you to record the interior of Qingkong Poetry Room for me."
Angel communicated this through the Mind Ribbon, as they stood right at Qingkong Poetry Room’s entrance. He didn’t, as Dox would, risk speaking aloud, inviting disdain from the two "Spirits" inside.
Since Angel spoke via Mind Ribbon, the Black Earl naturally responded through it: "This is your aim?"
Angel nodded: "More or less. Originally, I wanted to enter myself, but I might not be able to, so I entrust you both."
Vay readily nodded: "No problem, Master, rest assured, I’ll handle this personally. I’ll even capture the corners!"
Angel smiled and nodded at Vay: "Then I’m counting on you."
Though puzzled about Angel’s intent, the Black Earl replied: "If this is your wish, I’ll do my best to fulfill it."
Angel expressed his gratitude again.
After handing the two Photostones, Angel’s focus returned to the hole at the wall’s center.
