Wizard: Building a Golem Legion From Zero

Chapter 590: Spiritual Remains Steel

Chapter 590 -574: Spiritual Remains Steel

In the spring of Year Ten of Truth.

Inside the command room of the Cybertron Fortress, a massive holographic Star Map rotated slowly in midair. Its faint blue light outlined the detailed data of the Gray Channel and the surrounding planes.

“Commander,” Jarvis said, displaying the latest work results. “The financial report for Wesren Heavy Industry for Year Nine of Truth has been generated.

“Phase One of the ‘Divine Kingdom of Ten Thousand Machines Project’ in the G-771 Plane is nearing full completion, and Phase Two, the deep mineral resource development plan, has launched smoothly. Currently, excluding all types of materials reserved for our own use, the plane’s comprehensive annual output has stabilized at 1.3 billion Low-Level Magic Stones. Deducting administrative, educational, and infrastructure maintenance costs, the annual net profit is approximately 920 million.

“Relying on the production base of G-771 and the logistical advantages of the Gray Channel, Wesren Heavy Industry has successfully established commercial channels in five neighboring planes. It is estimated that within the next five years, the annual net profit will break the 1.5 billion mark.”

After a massive early investment, this territory was finally beginning to feed back into his vast business empire. However, Allen’s gaze did not linger on those gratifying profit margins; instead, it fell on a blinking red dot in the latter half of the channel.

“Pull up the detailed report on last month’s merchant fleet ambush for me,” Allen ordered.

“Yes.” Jarvis immediately switched the screen, and a fragmented combat video popped up. “Three weeks ago, the Third Merchant Fleet was ambushed by the Dawn Star Level Black Wizard group ‘Skeleton Duke’ in the Gray Channel. Three modified armed Floating Ships were destroyed, and thirty million Magic Stones’ worth of cargo, along with the entire crew, were hijacked. The escorting Third Golem Legion was entirely annihilated, and one Second-level Wizard employee was killed in action.

“PX-4 has arrived at this sector and is accompanying the merchant fleet on a six-month strategic deterrence mission.

“The traces of the ‘Skeleton Duke’ have disappeared. However, according to our projections, as our trade volume in the Gray Channel continues to soar, the frequency of such ‘jealous’ and malicious looting incidents will increase by seventy-five percent.”

Allen was currently pondering a countermeasure. PX-4, also known as “Xiong Da,” was one of his two major deterrent weapons. Now that his business had expanded, he had no choice but to dispatch it dozens of planes away to escort and protect his commercial empire. Currently, he only had Thanatos by his side, who specialized in the soul aspect but was not adept at direct physical confrontations.

As a deeply insecure man with a severe phobia of insufficient firepower, Allen couldn’t even engage in Meditation peacefully these past two days without a tanky guard by his side. Furthermore, it was indeed time to clean up those Black Wizard cockroaches lurking in his own backyard.

“How much liquid capital is still available in the account?”

“Commander, the current account balance has rebounded to 4.5 billion Low-Level Magic Stones,” Jarvis advised. “According to the risk assessment model, I recommend prioritizing the construction plan for Floating Battleships, or expanding the escort Golem Legion to twenty to bolster our armed forces.”

“No,” Allen flatly rejected. “The deterrence of a fleet is only effective against another fleet. If we encounter a Dawn Star Level Wizard, they will just be treated as target practice. No matter how many ordinary Floating Ships we have, they are just sitting ducks lining up to be slaughtered.”

He stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing into the distance at the Celestial Throne faintly visible in the clouds, his eyes growing cold.

“It seems Phase Two of the civilization construction project will have to be pushed back a bit. While we have some spare cash on hand, we’ll build a few more Level 4 High-Combat Golems and weed out the local thorns one by one.

“Jarvis, restart the production of Artificial Human No. 18.”

A moment later, Allen walked straight into the Ore and Crystal Laboratory within the fortress.

On the experimental table rested ten pieces of deep green metal of varying thicknesses and sizes. A faint glow that seemed to originate from the Netherworld flowed across their surfaces, and their dense structures were absolutely perfect under Magic Power vision.

“Experimental Alloy No. 41861 has now been renamed ‘Spiritual Remains Steel’.”

Jarvis introduced this newly developed advanced alloy material to Allen. “The final formula has completed one hundred thousand high-pressure simulation tests. This alloy uses Radiant Black Steel as its base, integrates the Magic Conductivity of Star Gold, and creatively incorporates 0.3 percent ‘Soul Crystal powder’ as a neutralizing stabilizer.

“Its physical strength is 3.7 times that of Radiant Black Steel, its comprehensive resistance to Law Erosion is increased by 12 times, and its Magic Conductivity efficiency reaches 99.8 percent. Its overall performance has surpassed ninety percent of the known Level 4 alloys in the Wizard Association’s materials database.

“The only drawback is that, due to the addition of the Soul Crystal, once the length of a single piece of metal exceeds the critical point, its toughness drops exponentially. Therefore, it can only be applied in the production of Golems under five meters.”

This was the fruit borne on the path of the “Metal Law,” taking Allen seven years of his time, parsing thousands of alloy formulas, and burning through nearly two hundred million Magic Stones in research and development funding. Although it had the fatal weakness of size limitations, it was simply a perfect match if used to create an Alchemy Puppet under two meters tall.

Allen pulled up the various performance inspection reports for the Spiritual Remains Steel, carefully scanned every piece of data, and nodded in satisfaction.

“Good. We have the skeleton. How is the heart coming along?”

As soon as his voice fell, a highly complex and precise engine model appeared out of thin air, rotating slowly.

“The modified ‘Hephaestus Type III’ Dawn Star Level miniaturized Magic Engine,” Jarvis introduced. “It uses ‘Spiritual Remains Steel’ as the restraint core, and its structural strength is sufficient to withstand a far more violent Energy Output. Its Peak Power is extremely high, yet its volume is only one-tenth of the PX-4 Main Engine. This means that the surging power of the Dawn Star Level can be perfectly stuffed into a body no taller than three meters.”

Looking at these two costly achievements before him, a satisfied smile finally graced Allen’s face. Developing materials and new technology was simply a bottomless pit. If it weren’t for the highly lucrative Soul Coins business backing him up, he would have gone bankrupt long ago.

“Very good,” he said softly. “Jarvis, pull up the original blueprint of the ‘Guard’ series, Mechanical Body No. 18.”

Upon the command’s issuance, a familiar figure instantly materialized in front of Allen. Standing 1.69 meters tall, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a cold, glamorous face, it was Artificial Human No. 18. She was his former personal bodyguard, and also the first humanoid combat weapon into which he had poured a massive amount of blood, sweat, and tears.

“This model, ‘Artificial Human No. 18,’ was lost sixteen years ago during the exploration mission in the X-7734 Plane,” Jarvis dutifully consulted the logs. “Her signal was forcibly blocked and severed. According to the analysis of the final environmental data transmitted back, she was determined to be either captured or completely destroyed.”

“I remember.” A reminiscent look faintly appeared on Allen’s face. “That was truly a humiliating piece of history.

“The reason I never restarted her production was that I wanted to upgrade her into a Dawn Star Level Alchemy Puppet.”

Allen calculated in his mind. The upper limit of that remnant soul of a Second-level Bloodline Witch from before was ultimately too low. Although her combat intuition was enough to deal with opponents of the same level, she lacked the variables and Growth Potential needed when facing higher-tier power. Moreover, the strength of the old chassis lagged far behind his current pace.

He raised his hand and directly began modifying No. 18’s projection.

“Based on the original blueprint, perform a foundational architecture iteration.”

The blueprint instantly became transparent, revealing the internal skeleton and circuitry.

“Replace the main skeleton and core structure entirely with ‘Spiritual Remains Steel’.”

As the command was given, the silver-white Star Meteorite Iron skeleton in the diagram was replaced layer by layer with a profound dark gold.

“Replace the Power Core with the ‘Hephaestus Type III’ miniaturized engine.”

The original engine located in the chest cavity was removed, and a new, vastly more terrifying power heart was perfectly embedded.

“As for the Control Core…” Allen mused for a moment. “I will personally oversee the creation of an artificial soul.”

[Initiating the manufacturing plan for the second-generation ‘Artificial Human No. 18’. Strength level: Level 4 Golem.]

In the holographic projection, a brand-new, completely reborn blueprint of No. 18 was rapidly generating. Her physical appearance remained unchanged, but every inch of her internal structure was now a pinnacle creation of the Dawn Star Level.

Allen stared at that still-glamorous face, a look of anticipation flickering in his deep blue eyes.

“This time, I’m going to lay a perfect foundation for you.”
