Stella Sterling had been about to tear her opponent to shreds, but she froze when she saw the woman’s face.

Just then, the person attacked again, their hand slashing toward Stella Sterling’s neck.

Her opponent’s hand wasn’t entirely human. It was somewhat mechanized, yet it still kept the basic shape of a human hand.

Stella Sterling’s gaze flickered as she looked at the person before her.

A few years had passed, and the girl’s youthful naivete had been replaced by a hardened maturity, but Stella Sterling still recognized her.

After all, she had known her in her past life. This was Yana Larkin, who had lived in the same residential complex.

She was the older sister of the pair of siblings Stella had saved all those years ago.

‘Could the person I just saw Miles Sanctus and Caleb Xavier rescue be Yana Larkin’s brother, Woody Larkin?’

Her thoughts raced. Stella Sterling aimed a chop at the back of her opponent’s head. With her current strength, the blow could have crushed her skull.

However, Stella held back, using only enough force to knock her out, not to kill her.

Unexpectedly, though, the blow failed to knock her opponent out. Yana’s body merely swayed.

Stella Sterling saw a flash of anger in her opponent’s eyes before she attacked again. This time, however, Stella caught her hand, pinning it firmly.

“Repaying my kindness with an attack, are we!”

Stella Sterling’s eyes glinted. She had been holding back for old times’ sake.

But every one of Yana’s moves was a killing blow. Stella didn’t know why the siblings would throw their lives away for Caleb Xavier, but since they were so determined to kill her, disregarding the kindness she had once shown them, ‘then there’s no reason for me to hold back either.’

At this thought, a cold light flashed in Stella Sterling’s eyes, and she prepared to end it.

‘When I saved them, it was because I remembered they were quite capable in my past life. I saved them hoping they would one day work for me.’

‘Looks like this Human Body Warrior was an old acquaintance of hers.’

After subduing Yana Larkin, Stella Sterling gazed in the direction Miles Sanctus and the others had fled.

By now, they had vanished without a trace.

But Stella Sterling wasn’t in a hurry to give chase.

“You’re not going to chase them? You’re just letting them get away?”

Andrew Shaw approached, looking puzzled. ‘Didn’t she come here to take care of them? Why isn’t she giving chase?’

“No rush. Let them live a little longer!”

Stella Sterling shrugged and pulled out her fully charged phone. A smile touched her lips as she watched the moving red dot on the screen.

Seeing this, Andrew Shaw’s mouth twitched. ‘No wonder she’s not in a hurry. She was prepared all along.’

At that moment, Stella Sterling sensed people approaching.

Recognizing their presence, she seemed to remember something and quickly headed outside.

Outside the building, the sky was swarming with bugs.

But when she saw who was approaching, a smile graced Stella Sterling’s face, and even her annoyance at the disgusting bugs seemed to fade.

“Sterling, we got him back!”

A moment later, a small group fought their way out of the surrounding swarm of bugs and into the building. Julian Fletcher exclaimed excitedly.

Stella Sterling nodded, but her eyes were fixed on Gordon Ford.

She hadn’t seen him in months. He had grown much thinner, but his eyes were bright and alert.

When Gordon Ford saw Stella Sterling, his eyes filled with excitement, and a hint of confusion.

Then, he strode forward and pulled Stella Sterling into a tight embrace.

Stella Sterling tensed, momentarily uncomfortable. Her fingers twitched, wanting to push Gordon Ford away, but when she felt the force of his hug, her hands slowly dropped back to her sides.

“You’re alive… It’s so good… No, wait, of course you’re alive!”

Hearing this, Stella’s expression became complicated. ‘The Gordon Ford of this life wouldn’t say something like that.’

‘So, is this Gordon Ford also someone reborn from the future? Then what happened to the Gordon Ford of this lifetime?’

The sudden scene took the members of Caeluna Base by surprise for a moment.

‘Sterling didn’t push him away!!!’
