Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 2235: Arriving in the Territory of the Star Shattering Sect

Chapter 2235: Arriving in the Territory of the Star Shattering Sect

Managing to pass through the Blue Sea Empire controlled by the demonic cultivators without any problems after the short meeting with one of the Demon King Realm cultivators in charge of the place, Su Han found himself standing close to the edge of what was considered the Star Shattering Sect’s territory.

Unsurprisingly, like was the case with many other ancient hidden sects, the local major powers had already started treating the place like a forbidden zone, though... Compared to some ancient hidden sects that cut off the outside world completely even after reemerging, the Star Shattering Sect’s goal was to recruit disciples and was thus still easy to enter for most. Especially so for wandering cultivators, who seemed to be far more numerous than normal because of the wandering cultivator city that had been established by the Star Shattering Sect.

Although Su Han did find this a bit strange when he first learnt about it, he guessed that it was just a way for the Star Shattering Sect to gather some unique cultivation resources to the current era and learn a bit more about the current world while at the same time also giving their disciples a way to learn about the world by visiting this wandering cultivator city without having to go through any real danger that would normally come along with learning more about the world from experienced travelers like these wandering cultivators.

Of course, while others might have an easy time entering the territory of the Star Shattering Sect, Su Han understood that this also had to do with the simple fact that these wandering cultivators and others were far too weak to even catch the attention of the Star Shattering Sect in the first place.

A monk comparable to the Star Creation Realm like himself on the other hand... Was bound to draw their attention the second he stepped into their territory and if he didn’t behave properly, those seniors behind the Star Shattering Sect might believe he was hostile and strike him down on the spot.

Whoosh~

For this reason, he soon descended towards the ground where a branch of the Star Shattering Sect was located and currently in the process of recruiting a group of new disciples. Planning to first have the elders of this small branch send back a request for a meeting so he would be able to officially enter the territory of the Star Shattering Sect without creating some kind of misunderstanding in the process.

Having at the very least learnt from the Myriad Treasure Hall that the Star Shattering Sect was a rather easy to interact with ancient hidden sect. Reassuring him that it shouldn’t be too difficult for him to meet with an elder of the Star Shattering Sect if he made sure to be polite and inform them ahead of time. Simple curtesy he was more than happy to follow along with, if it meant he didn’t have to risk his life trying to uncover more information on this ancient hidden sect in a more discreet manner.

"Who?" And unsurprisingly, as he descended from the sky, the elder in charge of overseeing the disciple recruitment at this newly established branch, who had only reached the Nascent Soul Realm, looked up in surprise at the bald monk that suddenly descended from above. Not knowing what else to say as he discreetly informed the branch sect master at the Domain Lord Realm about the stranger who seemed to have at least reached the Domain Lord Realm.

"Don’t worry, I’m not here to interrupt your disciple recruitment ceremony, I will wait here for the branch sect master." Faced with the somewhat suspicious look from the Nascent Soul Realm Elder, Su Han didn’t dare show the slightest bit of arrogance as he responded kindly before silently retreating to wait for the branch sect master who was already on the way.

Hearing the response from the bald monk, the Nascent Soul Realm elder silently stared at him for a few seconds as he concluded this unknown senior might be a friend of the branch sect master before he returned his attention back towards the youth now staring towards this bald flying monk in awe. "Everyone, we will proceed as planned, those ranked at the top will follow me for the final test with the winner gaining the opportunity to enter the main sect in the future during the annual branch sect tournament. After that..." Soon enough dragging the youths off towards another part of the sect.

Swish~

And as this group left, the branch sect master finally emerged before Su Han with a cautious expression on his face before quickly showing a look of barely perceivable fear upon realizing the strength of this mysterious bald monk far surpassed his own.

It wasn’t that he could sense the cultivation of the other party, but the fact that he could clearly sense the terrifying presence he carried.

A presence that surpassed anything he had ever sensed before, perhaps only those truly powerful elders surpassing the Domain Lord Realm residing within the main sect would be comparable to this bald monk.

"Greetings, senior. I’m Luo Yang, the current sect master of the Yang Mountain Sect, Branch Sect of the Star Shattering Sect." Not daring to show the slightest bit discourtesy before such a senior figure, as he calmly introduced himself with appropriate bearing of a junior meeting a senior while still remembering his identity as an official elder of the Star Shattering Sect. "Might I ask why senior have come here?" Followed by a simple question.

"Greetings, Sect Master of Yang Mountain Sect, this humble monk is from the Serene Tide Monastery. Today, I have come to request a simple meeting with your Star Shattering Sect to clear up some doubts. I hope the layman would be able to convey this humble one’s request."

"That... Of course, give me a few minutes..."

"Of course."

Knowing from the request that this was bound to be something far more important than he had originally expected when he learnt someone had suddenly appeared before the elder recruiting disciples from the sky, Lou Yang didn’t hesitate to pick up his communication talisman. Ready to go through the emergency contact connecting directly back to the sect’s higher ups reserved for this kind of unique situation-

"No need to contact Feng Chen, just invite him to Falling Star City and I will take over from there"

But before he had the chance to do so, a calm voice suddenly sounded out inside his head, causing him to freeze on the spot for a good few seconds before realizing what had just happened.

"Yes! This junior will carry out the will of the ancestor!" Although he had no idea why that person had contacted him and even directly instructed him to guide that mysterious bald monk to Falling Star City, Lou Yang understood that it was best not to pry in this kind of situation.

If anything, the fact that he would be able to carry out a task for the mysterious ancestor who had become harder and harder to spot over the past few years was an achievement in itself and something he would be able to brag about to his fellow elders the next time he returned to the main sect for a break.

No, given how he would be returning to Falling Star City carrying out a task given by the ancestor, it would be a waste not taking the opportunity to return to the main sect while he was already there.

"Hm? Back already?" Not realizing what had just happened as Xuan Hao had already sensed his presence the second he entered the borders of the Star Shattering Sect, Su Han couldn’t help showing a somewhat surprised look on his face seeing how Lou Yang had merely turned around one second before turning back around the next with a joyful smile on his face.

"Yes, the ancestor just informed me to guide you to Falling Star City." Not aware of his current appearance, Lou Yang just smiled happily as he motioned for Su Han to follow him.

"That... I understand..." Su Han on the contrary froze for short instance before quickly recovering as he solemnly nodded his head following behind the happy branch sect master.

Different from the overjoy Lou Yang, Su Han’s mind was in a state of turmoil over what Lou Yang had just said.

After all, for an ancestor to have directly informed him meant that the other’s divine sense had swept past him, yet he hadn’t noticed anything!

Even if the divine sense had deliberately avoided him, it was still not easy to avoid the detection of someone like himself. Not to mention, Lou Yang wasn’t standing that far away from him.

For the first time since his arrival within the territory of the Star Shattering Sect, Su Han felt that this ancient hidden sect lived up to its name. Knowing that whoever had informed this branch sect master had strength far beyond his own.
