Chapter 1287: A Treasure Worth A War, The Final Item of the Auction

Thanks to the fine craftsmanship of the Enati, a race of skilled blacksmiths from the Ancient Celestial Realm, Izroth’s Sword of the Storm that was originally epic-ranked evolved into a unique-ranked weapon.

After its upgrade, the Sword of the Storm became a semi-growth-type weapon, with the attack damage it granted scaling with Izroth’s own attack stat.

Nevertheless, even though the Sword of the Storm could scale up to 10,000 points of attack damage, it was not an endless growth-type weapon like Izroth’s armor, the Apparel of Insatiable Transcendence.

However, if something like the Ore of Dreams was used, Izroth speculated that it would be possible for the Sword of the Storm to transform into a true weapon worthy of standing aside the potential of something like the Apparel of Insatiable Transcendence!

All of a sudden, the entire auction house turned to pitch black as all the lights shut off. This caused a wave of chatter to erupt throughout the auction house.

Not long after the the auction house turned pitch black, a single spotlight appeared on the stage.

Within the spotlight was Lady Kesa, who stood alongside a large object covered by a golden cloth.

The object was approximately three meters in length, one meter in width, and a little less than one meter in height.

Additionally, even though they were hidden by the darkness, several more individuals had appeared on stage.

These new arrivals were guards of the Golden Treasure House. Though among them was a presence that was no weaker than the legendary realm powerhouse that stood guard during the bid of the Ore of Dreams. Without a doubt, a second legendary realm powerhouse had appeared as a protector.

Of course, while the average person in the auction house did not detect their presence, those in the private rooms, as well as certain others hidden among the crowd, could sense it clearly.

It was uncommon for an item to have multiple legendary realm powerhouses acting as a guard. Not only that, the price of hiring someone in the legendary realm as a protector was insanely expensive. To have hired two such legendary realm protectors meant that the item’s value was worth that much in the eyes of the Golden Treasure House.

"Esteemed guests, as many of you may know, today’s star of the show was originally supposed to be the Ore of Dreams. Despite this, fortune has smiled upon us on this day. This item may have been a last minute entry, but its value is one that is unimaginable and may very well be capable of reshaping the power structure of the Seven Kingdoms itself. Without further ado, I present to you the star of today’s auction-" Lady Kesa started as she pulled the golden cloth off of the podium.

’The item I’ve been waiting for is finally making its appearance.’

The moment the golden cloth was removed, a rich aura of life and natural energy immediately poured into every corner of the room.

The instant this aura appeared, it grabbed the full attention of every single and group within the private rooms as if they had been jolted awake.

The item revealed had the appearance of a coffin. The material resembled a cross between metal and wood. The coffin possessed a deep blood red color—as if it had spent countless eras soaked in deoxygenated blood. The interior seemed to be laced a soft fabric, which was the main source of the life energy that emitted from the coffin.

Lady Kesa lightly clapped her hands together once. As she performed this action, the lights of the auction house came back on.

Seeing the stage abruptly filled with many more guards caught the auction house participants off guard; however, it also filled them with a sense of excitement. They knew that this coffin was a one of a kind treasure that they may not get to see again in their lifetime!

"This item is called Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace. According to the evaluation of our appraisers at the Golden Treasure House, it is capable of extending one’s lifespan by fifty years. More importantly, somehow, this item also contains an abundance of natural energy. From this brief explanation alone, I am sure everyone here understands why we increased the level of security for this item. It is not an understatement to say that its very appearance is enough to start a war. That is why, for the safety of its buyer, the Golden Dragon Association has agreed to assist the Golden Treasure House in ensuring the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace’s safe transportation to its destination." Lady Kesa explained with a meaningful look as her gaze swept across the crowd before it landed on the private rooms above.

Natural energy—this was not to be mistaken for the Natural Energy that Izroth obtained back during the Apothecary grade promotion test. The kind of energy contained within the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace was something naturally created by the world itself.

’I’ve only come across one item in RML so far that contained energy naturally provided by the world itself—a page from the Book of Beginnings. But, the energy from a single page from the Book of Beginnings cannot compare to the energy provided by the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace. To think I would end up finding such a treasure buried in a Serva Stone at the Golden Treasure Hunt. As I thought, coming to the Central Hub was well worth it.’

The Serva Stone that contained the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace had a quality value of 97 out of 100. It was, without contest, the highest quality value item Izroth found among the Serva Stones.

As for why Izroth chose to place it up for auction, it had to do with a few things. For one, Izroth had no real use for the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace. While it could have some potential uses in the future, he would much rather use it to benefit to advance his current self. It was also possible to use the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace to potentially win over a legendary realm powerhouse at the edge of death or looking to advance to the next stage of the legendary realm. However, Izroth felt that it would be too much of a waste to use it for something so superficial.

Though, more than anything, the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace was a special item. This meant that while it could be stored in the inventory, it would drop upon one’s death. Furthermore, the energy it emitted could not be hidden even while it was inside one’s inventory. Not to mention, unlike the item Izroth used to store the pages from the Book of Beginnings that concealed the natural energy it emitted, he had no such item for the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace.

While Izroth was not afraid, he was no fool. Who knew how long he would have to hold onto the item before he could use it himself? Months? Years? Regardless, it did not change the fact that he would become a primary target of practically every legendary realm being and the kingdoms or organizations that backed them in the Seven Kingdoms for that duration.

’Obtaining the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace can be a blessing or curse depending on how it’s handled. Since its presence was already revealed to others during the extraction process, it won’t be long before word of its existence spreads outside of Danaharpe City. When that happens, whoever is in its possession will not have an easy time—even with the aid of the Golden Dragon Association. In the end, without the ability to protect it, trying to hold on to a treasure is no different than inviting disaster. I’ve seen it unfold too many times to count in the Seven Realms.’
