Chapter 1296: System of Prestige

Chapter 1296: System of Prestige

"I just wanted to test her a bit, but that gaze in her eyes... Indeed, my student has quite the eye for people." Hyrell thought to herself as she smiled inwardly.

Vexpela let out a small sigh of relief as she relaxed and lowered her arms. As someone who dealt with businessmen and scammers on a daily and all throughout her life, Vexpela knew that Hyrell must have been testing her. And, based on how things ended just now, Vexpela figured she somehow managed to pass.

Either way, it appeared that Hyrell and the Formation Master Guild would be an official backer of the Fourth Pavilion. And, this was all thanks to one person.

"If I had hesitated to approach him at that time, this moment would have never come to be. I made the correct choice trusting my gut and making him the Supreme Elder of my Fourth Pavilion." Vexpela thought to herself.

"The guests from the Golden Dragon Association should be here soon. Your presence here along with Formation Master Head Hyrell will undoubtedly put forth a lot of questions in their mind. That is why, we will take this chance to gain a solid foothold in the succession battle against your siblings and start to catch the eye of the high-ranking members of the Golden Dragon Association." Izroth explained.

"I see... You want to start going on the offensive and let others know that the Fourth Pavilion can no longer be pushed around. At the same time, we can use the opportunity to drawn in the neutral high-ranking members of the Golden Dragon Association." Vexpela commented as look of fierceness flashed through her eyes.

There were those of the Golden Dragon Association who had not sided with any of her siblings. This was because her siblings already had people and developed a strict hierarchy. Even if they joined their side, their position would be too low to count any benefits.

However, what if a new viable party appeared in the fold? Without a doubt, those high-ranking Golden Dragon Association members who remained neutral would rush to that party’s side in hopes of securing a high position in the hierarchy.

"Oh? I was worried you’d be somewhat hesitant to make such a bold move. It seems my concerns were unwarranted." Izroth said.

"In the past, I had no choice but to take a step back when confronted by my siblings because I lacked a proper backing and means to go against them in a head-on confrontation. Now that the opportunity to go on the offensive has presented itself, how can I hesitate to grab hold of it? As I said before, you are free to use the name of the Fourth Pavilion as you please. So, whatever is needed of me and the Fourth Pavilion—you have my full support, Supreme Elder." Vexpela stated without a drop of hesitation.

"Seeing as how you are willing to place your trust in me, I will not betray your expectations. I will set the stage for you and the Fourth Pavilion. However, when the time comes, it will ultimately be up to you how to handle certain matters." Izroth said in a meaningful tone.

"Rest assured, when that moment comes, I will not hesitate to do what needs to be done." Vexpela responded with haste.

"Now that we’ve settled that—there is another reason I called you here in such a hurry. Before the representative from the Golden Dragon Association arrives, there are a few things I would like to know. For one, what exactly is this Dragon-Level VIP status?" Izroth inquired.

"As you know, the Golden Dragon Association is a business that spans across the entirety of the Seven Kingdoms. Due make stronger connections with its guests and help establish a sort of system of prestige, if you will, the VIP system was created. From lowest to highest, the official VIP levels of the Golden Dragon Association are listed as Standard, Gold, Platinum, Black, and Diamond." Vexpela explained.

She then continued, "Depending on how much money ones spends and their reputation, it’s possible to reach Platinum-Level VIP status. However, acquiring a VIP status beyond that requires providing something of equal or greater value to the Golden Dragon Association."

’A give and take relationship, of sorts. It’s not all that different from the way things worked back in the Seven Realms.’

"But, there is one level of VIPs that are not officially listed. It is simply because it’s something unobtainable for most and that is the Dragon-Level VIP. Even I, as the daughter of the current Head, do not know all the benefits that it gives. However, I do know that it’s not something given out lightly. The fact that the Golden Dragon Association wishes to acquire the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace at such a high cost means that it’s worth that much in their eyes." Vexpela stated.

She then added, "Although I do not know much, I can tell you that if you do obtain the Dragon-Level VIP status, there is no limit on the amount of gold coins that you can borrow from the Golden Dragon Association. It is also possible to arrange protective escort in the legendary realm. As for discounts, there’s not even a need to speak of it. As long as you want it and it’s within reason, the Golden Dragon Association will provide it. To my knowledge, there are only four individuals with Dragon-Level VIP status. No, I suppose with you, that number will increase to five."

"From the sound of things, there are no downsides to accepting their offer. Are there any specifics that I should keep an eye on?" Izroth asked.

Vexpela shook her head and replied, "As far as I know, there are only benefits to being a Dragon-Level VIP. Due to what’s offered, there is no need to tie that individual down to the Golden Dragon Association. Of course, the Golden Dragon Association may make certain requests. But, it is entirely up to the person involved whether they wish to accept it or not. Though, most of the time, it’s something that benefits both parties involved, so cooperation is easy and straightforward."

"Supreme Elder, pardon my disturbance. But, your guests from the Golden Dragon Association have arrived." Griselle’s voice suddenly sounded from the other side of the door.

"It would seem that our guests have finally arrived. Remember, from this moment onward, the Fourth Pavilion must always hold its head high. And, as its leader, you are no longer allowed to take a step back to avoid offending others." Izroth reminded.

"I understand, Supreme Elder." Vexpela said with a look of confidence in her eyes.

Izroth glanced over at Hyrell, who gave a small nod in return. He then set his gaze toward the door and said, "Enter."

The moment that word left Izroth’s mouth, the door to the private room opened.

Griselle stood off to the door’s side outside the private and bowed politely as two people walked into the private room.

Once the two set foot into the private room, Griselle closed the door and remained outside.

The guests consisted of an old man and a middle-aged man. The old man walked in front, showing naturally that he was the one in charge. As for the middle-aged man, he had a stern and attentive presence to him.
