Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4730 Sowing Discord?

Chapter 4730  Sowing Discord?

"I'm… fine…"

Fairy Thunderblaze had difficulty controlling her breathing.

She had never thought the Blood Realm Calamity's replication of her father would be so perfect. It completely copied him, accurately portraying his mannerisms, behavior, way of talking, gesturing, and many other familiar motions she thought she had long forgotten.

"You don't seem fine."

Davis walked towards her and briefly checked her for contamination by the Blood Realm Calamity.

"Don't infringe on me."

Fairy Thunderblaze rejected his soul probe with a wave of her hands, staggering back.

"…" Davis was taken aback before his expression turned solemn, "You don't seem fine at all, and I can't protect you if I keep being wary about you, afraid that you'll be controlled and stab my back."

"Then just leave." Fairy Thunderblaze coldly uttered.

Davis looked at her coldly, "Your wish."

He turned around to leave, his senses instantly spreading to search for it. There was no ghostly yin mist to restrict the soul, but the blood air possessed a similar effect on top of suppressing blood energy. In this case, even sacrificing blood essence would prove to be difficult. Regardless, as a passive effect of expending his soul essence a bit, he was able to stretch out his soul force a few thousand meters.

After walking away a bit, he came to a slow stop.

Turning to look back, he asked, "Was that your father?"

"…"

"You do realize this Blood Realm Calamity is highly intelligent and employing emotional attacks to make you vulnerable, right?"

Fairy Thunderblaze's golden lightning occasionally sparkled, extinguishing the blood poison around her. The layer of energy surrounding her didn't let anything get in, but it wouldn't do her any good if she let a huge amount gather.

"I know." Fairy Thunderblaze answered, "This Blood Realm Calamity has feasted on a lot of humans and came to learn about us, our weaknesses. Most likely, its intelligence also comes from absorbing us. I wouldn't underestimate it if I were you."

"I never underestimated it, and it doesn't underestimate me. Hence, we're stuck playing hide and seek."

Davis sighed lightly, "It knows my secrets. Did it say anything to you about me?"

"No…"

Fairy Thunderblaze's head lowered as he uttered. Her stately-bound black hair was nearly away from untying into an unkempt mess. Her face veil was about to fall, but she tied it back over her ears properly. He looked at her, never having seen her in this plight, but he thought that her having survived was already good.

"Let's go then." Davis gestured.

Fairy Thunderblaze gazed at him for a few seconds with a hollow look before she moved, following after him.

"It can escape from me all it wants, but it can't hide what it wants to hide."

Davis sneered. He took a winding path through the crimson forest. The eerie flowers blossomed and unleashed blood poison over them, but Davis's soul force was encompassing. His life energy purified the toxic blood mist as it entered their vicinity, even giving them a boost in terms of vitality.

Fairy Thunderblaze's eyes gleamed. She was once again awed by his versatile abilities that didn't seem to make any sense for a single person to have.

Naturally, she had also seen him use the chaos-destruction fist and reincarnation energy wheel that portrayed the aspects of calamity and rebirth. To those techniques, she had no words to utter as they seemed beyond her ability.

She silently followed after him.

"My daughter! You can't!"

"Know your true self and complete your ambition!"

"You are destined for greatness. You can't fall!"

Occasionally, her imperial father's voice would erupt from the bloody forest. There was no sign of the Blood Realm Calamity. However, Davis always barely managed to capture its arrival before it faded.

It would pop up from the ground, trees, or even the ceiling of the lair with its face out and then disperse into a blood mist.

It was thoroughly provoking Fairy Thunderblaze for some reason instead of him, making Davis look back at her again.

"Why does it keep provoking you to take action against me? It knows about your memories, so it shouldn't be without a warrant."

"…" Fairy Thunderblaze remained silent.

After a while, she answered, "It's trying to sow discord between us, and while you're distracted, will launch a fatal strike using me."

"How?" Davis's brows furrowed.

"Because I always have the intention to kill you."

"Why?" Davis looked confused.

"Because you're more evil than all of us, not allowed to exist!" The Blood Realm Calamity screamed from the depths of the bloody forest, "With you present, my daughter can never attain her ambition!"

*Bang!~*

A reincarnation spear hit right over its head, piercing through it and pinning it to the ground. However, it had already transferred its blood-soul core, escaping from his attack easily.

Davis dropped his arm after launching the Lesser Spear of Damnation and returned his gaze to Fairy Thunderblaze.

"Is that true?"

"…"

Fairy Thunderblaze didn't offer an explanation. She walked past him with an indifferent expression, causing Davis to shake his head. Blinking, he continued to track the anomaly with Death God Eyes.

The blood here was full of vitality but reminiscent of death and carnage, but there was one that didn't fit the aura, brimming full of life. It was the strangest aura present here, causing him to walk towards her.

As he pressed forward, he could feel the Blood Realm Calamity becoming more and more frantic, closing the distance and yelling out provocative words, this time even to him as it replicated his wives, his parents, and siblings.

Furthermore, it kept leaking his secrets to Fairy Thunderblaze.

"He possesses the Temporal Voidplane Ring, one of the most powerful treasures replicated from the Space-Time Quintessence Ring! With it, anything you have planned will be ruined. You will instantly be sealed in a space where time has stopped." Yilla raged.

"His true intentions towards you aren't good, and he thinks way less of you than us, his true wives. He has thought of killing you many times, even when you try to listen!" Isabella warned.

"He is my son!" Myria's voice boomed, "If anything happens to him, I will kill you, Zenova!"

Davis's expression churned with anger. Not only did it expose many secrets of him and the Davis Family, it even included lies in it, making it difficult for anyone hearing it to have difficulty believing him, even if he were to explain himself.

It was forcing them to kill each other, looking to take advantage of the mess.

When he glanced at Fairy Thunderblaze, she didn't have any expression, her eyes appearing quite dull. It was unknown what she was thinking.

Davis hastened, and he got closer to the source of the vibrant aura.

The bloody forest once again cleared, and the bloody area turned verdant as though there was no slaughter or resentment of ghosts in this place. The verdant surface spanned across the area and converged to form a plant lifeform.

A single, towering stalk of shimmering emerald-gold, its leaves translucent like jade but veined with crimson threads that pulsed like a heartbeat. The trunk itself was smooth yet etched with chaotic patterns that writhed subtly, as though alive. At its top bloomed a lotus-like flower whose petals were half life, half calamity, one side glowing with serene vitality, the other flickering with shifting crimson motes.

Davis's pupils dilated, and so did Fairy Thunderblaze's eyes, their hearts stricken with fear as their senses were on the verge of being overwhelmed by the sheer pressure in the area.
