Chapter 4742 Becoming A Prey?
After Davis considered, he cast a gaze at her crippled left leg.
The severed part of the left leg had probably been crushed and cradled with holes by the immense number of teeth of the remnant bloody maw, so it could not be stitched back. He would have to regenerate it from scratch.
Fairy Thunderblaze uncomfortably adjusted her sitting position, using her bloodied skirt to hide her bloody and badly burned wound.
"You can listen as I heal you. Don't be stubborn to reject it."
Her gaze shifted uncomfortably. After a pause, she muttered, "Alright."
Davis got out of bed and walked towards her. Bending down, his hands went through her bloodied skirt as he began unleashing life energy. His brows furrowed as he felt the wound was steep, the remnant blood energy difficult to heal.
It was one really powerful attack unleashed by the Blood Realm Calamity to claim Fairy Thunderblaze's life. Fortunately, this offshoot body died quickly after being released from the Temporal Voidplane Ring.
"Will a scar remain?" She asked coldly.
Davis blinked before he answered, "Possibly. I can't guarantee full healing in a short healing session. Besides, with the skirt obstructing my line of sight, I can't focus on the burned cells and blood-poisoned cells to rejuvenate them properly. Shall I use my soul sense?"
"Don't you dare." Fairy Thunderblaze's gaze shook.
"I thought so." Davis nodded perfunctorily, "Then you would have to be comfortable with the scar until you heal it yourself."
"That's fine."
Her voice trailed off as though she was looking elsewhere.
Davis started, explaining how Archon Zaratu appeared, and he was forced to hide in the plant lifeform for nearly a year, only to be played by Archon Zaratu, but was later saved by Rioxys Plume's grandfather, the Guardian of the Myriad Coiling Spirit Peak.
"She has such a background?"
Fairy Thunderblaze's brows raised. By this time, she saw that her left leg had already regenerated to knee-level and her other injuries over her body had all healed. Suppressing the sheer amazement she felt over his life energy's healing capacity, she continued.
"Did you foresee this and send Rioxys Plume there?"
"…" Davis blinked, "I told her to escape if the situation turns awry or if she was going to be taken up to the clouds. She didn't listen, or she was caught and taken up to her grandfather. Naturally, how could I have foreseen that?"
Fairy Thunderblaze didn't believe it. She knew Davis was hiding a lot of things, and a lot of it was exposed by that Blood Realm Calamity. Previously, she had many doubts, and most of them had been answered. She no longer even remotely placed him on the same level as her.
Nonetheless, she nodded in understanding, "You sowed good karma by treating her well and reaped it when her grandfather saved you. However, don't even think that a higher existence will continue to feel indebted to you. The reason he gave you that fruit as a reward is to get you mauled by the Calamities on the way back. Even the Spirit Tribes won't spare you. They will come for your head one after another in an attempt to secure the fruit."
Davis smirked, "I know. That's why I need your help."
"My help? What could I possibly do?" Fairy Thunderblaze's lips curled in amusement, "You saved me, but then you released me and fed me with this information. With two existences above the Exalt Stage eying over our fates, aren't we as good as dead?"
"…" Davis still smiled.
His smile made Fairy Thunderblaze feel uncomfortable. Looking away, she muttered with some annoyance, "Saving me is the worst thing you could've done, as you could've gotten rid of a huge debt. And I shouldn't have brought you here. Now I got us both killed in vain, no longer having the chance to imprint our names and titles in the flow of history."
"Haha." Davis chuckled as he saw her pristine feet reconstruct- bones, flesh, and skin reappearing layer after layer, "That's a funny thing to say. I also blame you, but only as a joke. In the end, it was my decision to come with you. Whether you feel guilty or murderous has nothing to do with our debt-clearing journey. I should've known it was better to return when I noticed this region existed right at the backyard of the Myriad Coiling Spirit Peak. Naturally, it should've been some bigshot's slaughterhouse garden."
He nearly rolled his eyes, making Fairy Thunderblaze produce a slight smile.
She saw that her left leg had fully healed and stood up to walk, noticing nothing amiss. If it wasn't for the scar, she didn't think she could heal such a big injury. After all, she was still an Immortal Emperor, and her body wasn't as strong as Davis's.
"Thank you." Without looking back, she said after a pause.
"You're welcome. Can we consider the debt settled with this?"
"Sure." Fairy Thunderblaze said absentmindedly. Her gaze fell on the plant lifeform outside. Its True Deity-level aura was heavy, but they had become used to it. She guessed that unless it attacked them, it should be safe to continue staying here.
She wished she could move to a distance, but with the formation seal to this region having gone, it would soon be populated by various Calamities. They would not dare near an active True Deity aura plant lifeform. Therefore, this was really only the safe place left.
After contemplating for a while, she excused herself to change her clothes.
Returning with a similar set of new clothes, she opened her mouth.
"You want to use the mark of the Supremes on the golden gourd and the flameseed to deter those existences?"
"Yes," Davis slightly rubbed his chest, calming the overwhelming flow of the blood energy. Putting his hand down, he smirked, "You're as sharp as ever. I want to see which of these existences here dares to offend two Supremes who targeted you. Will they dare to harm the Supremes' prey, or will they let you go?"
Fairy Thunderblaze's eyes gleamed, "It could work, but it is a naive plan that puts our fate on their whims and one that is also disadvantageous to you. Even if it succeeded, chances are that only I could escape. What about you two? Do you want to give me the Temporal Voidplane Ring and get me to carry you both out of here?"
"Ridiculous." Before Lady Thunderwraith could respond, Davis scoffed, "As if I would trust you to release me after sealing."
"Thought so. Then what's your plan?" Fairy Thunderblaze asked, her voice sounding curious.
"…" Davis's expression turned somber. He glared at her.
Fairy Thunderblaze's heart shook.
"I didn't want to include the two divine-natured lightning and flames into my Essence Gathering Physique, but it turns out that I have to risk instability for a while in order to get out. Give me the golden gourd and the flameseed. I need to cultivate fast before it's too late."
Davis grumbled. He also needed to become prey for the Supremes if he wanted to leave here and stop Isabella before she could come here. As for whether the Supremes would attack him, he didn't think it would occur anywhere in this century since he was sure they would also need to abide by their own rules.
Otherwise, the Reincarnation Dimension would've been on him long ago, as he had stolen their chains and kicked up a storm by nearly trying to replicate the Reincarnation Cycle.
