Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4743 Out Of Time?

Chapter 4743  Out Of Time?

"Are you serious?" Fairy Thunderblaze's expression turned solemn.

"Haven't you turned your Essence Gathering Cultivation to accommodate Obliteration Laws that fused on the basis of annihilative heavenly factor for all three Laws? Breaking it would be no different than crippling yourself."

She was well aware of his cultivation path since they had exchanged their knowledge on their Essence Gathering Cultivations during their journey.

"I don't have a choice." Davis said coldly, "Cultivators are forced to make a choice when extreme danger befalls. You should know how many cultivators in history were forced to make an unprepared breakthrough or change the entirety of their cultivation path just so they could survive. This is no different."

"Mmph!" Fairy Thunderblaze harrumphed, "You are too confident, thinking you could restore yourself with your life or reincarnation energy. These marks aren't simple. They can't be erased. Even the golden gourd and flameseed haven't been destroyed, even after they repeatedly clashed with the Blood Realm Calamity, even though they hadn't reached its prowess yet. By all right, they should've broken, but they're still there."

She looked outside, and the giant bloody maw had melted into a blood jelly. The two divine items were inside it since she couldn't retrieve them during a high-stakes moment. Once she was released, she could only take Davis and flee. Fortunately, the Blood Realm Calamity was dead.

Still, for these items to survive, she guessed it was only due to their marks.

Davis followed her gaze, "So those items are in there."

"…"

Fairy Thunderblaze didn't respond. After a pause, she returned her gaze to him, "I urge you to reconsider. Such a perfect, destructive physique can't be ruined."

"What other choice do I have?" Davis spread his hands. He shook his head and went to take out the items stuck inside the blood jelly.

"Stop! I don't consent for you to take my treasures." Fairy Thunderblaze's voice echoed with fury.

But Davis acted like he didn't hear it and continued to walk.

*Bzzz!~*

Davis stepped aside and watched Fairy Thunderblaze fly past him as he faced towards her. Her figure, draped in purple-crimson robes, was clad in scarlet-golden sparks of lightning flames that thundered. With a swift maneuver, she spun around and blocked his path.

"Fool, do you really want to ruin your years' worth of effort that much? Since you're still injured, first heal yourself and then you can decide whether you really want to…"

Fairy Thunderblaze held her head and suddenly swayed.

Davis's brows twitched. She was really fainting now?

She supposed she had overexerted herself after using the two trump cards. To Fairy Thunderblaze, who had just come out of a space where time was frozen, she was still stuck in that time and was just released today.

Just as he assumed she would be fine, she collapsed like a stick falling over her, looking like she was going to plant her face in the ground.

*Whoosh!~*

Fairy Thunderblaze's eyelids fluttered open as she remembered the last thing was Davis rushing towards her again. She found herself on a white cotton bed, looking at the ceiling with some dreariness still remaining in her face.

"You overexerted yourself with the usage of your speed, and your hand shaped like a dagger. Were you really trying to kill me, or were you trying to get yourself killed by me?"

A voice came from beside.

Without looking at the owner of that voice, she responded, "Yes."

"What's wrong with you?" Davis rubbed his face in exasperation.

In truth, he was also too exhausted since he still hadn't had the time to rest. If he slept, he had no doubt he would sleep for a week straight. Her incessant warnings somehow made him feel more sleepy as his determination was scribbled off by her logical reasoning.

Even if he wanted to obtain the marks of the Supremes and destabilize his Essence Gathering Cultivation, he must at least heal his body and control the overwhelming energy of the blood to keep himself from being critically injured. As for the minute True Deity-level remnant energy stuck in his body, that was something that could not be healed now, as he wanted to avoid using Fallen Heaven or risk garnering the attention of those Archons.

He admitted he was being hasty, but with Isabella's life on the line, he dared not waste time.

"You should die." Fairy Thunderblaze blandly responded, refusing to explain.

Davis squished his forehead, "You know… if you're secretly hoping for me to understand you, forget it. I don't dare use my Heart Intent on you for reasons I have stated before. You are simultaneously the most attractive but also scariest woman I have ever met to open my heart up to. I have a feeling that if you're introduced to the harem, that you'll destroy it in months…"

"I will." Fairy Thunderblaze responded weakly, "I only need a few weeks' time. There's nothing more fickle than love."

"…" Davis wryly smiled, "Yet it is also the strongest. You've never been this miserable, thrown around by your own feelings."

"…"

Fairy Thunderblaze's lips quivered. Her eyes moistened as she turned over.

"Get out."

Silence ensued in the bed chamber of one of the units of the abode.

It lasted a whole minute before a voice echoed.

"Why are you still here?"

"I bring some hopeful news." Davis leaned back and brought his hand to his chin as he put his leg over the other.

"While you were out cold, I was thinking. I think I have a way to break the mark of the Supremes."

"What?" Fairy Thunderblaze sat up as she turned to look at him in shock.

Davis blinked. Her eyes weren't red at all, making him wonder if she had cried or was acting. She was truly scary, bringing waves of complicated emotions within him. While bringing her here, he even took a peek at her real face ever so lightly, bringing him down to his knees over the excitement, but had ultimately let go of the veil.

He didn't wish to bring home a beautiful disaster. Regardless, he didn't have time to pay attention to these matters.

Davis nodded, "I'm going to have to die miserably and possibly… bring a greater calamity here to deter all other dangers that befall us."

As he said, he brought out the jade green fan, flipping it open as the black miasma rippled out, causing Fairy Thunderblaze to turn horrified as she retracted her senses and looked away.

"Using the third time… that's the end." Davis's eyes narrowed, "The Supremes and the otherworldly Will within this Cursed Artifact can fight it out, destroy each other's marks."

"You- your soul will be the battlefield!"

"Not necessarily, but even if so, I'm undying…" Davis pursed his lips.

His answer made Fairy Thunderblaze momentarily speechless.

"But as you said, I shouldn't destroy my Essence Gathering Cultivation. I'll give myself two or three months' time to come up with a new technique, a technique to usurp the marks you possess on your soul and rid yourself of the fate of becoming some kind of sacrifice later on."

Davis stood up, closed the Malevolent Flesh Erasure Fan, threw it back into a spatial ring, and walked out of the room, leaving a stunned Fairy Thunderblaze.
