Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4793 Intercepted?

Chapter 4793  Intercepted?

Mingzhi waved her hand, summoning another silver-black spatial gate. She walked ahead calmly as the others followed.

The nine of them entered it and appeared.

Myria looked around, checking for spatial traps or ambushes, "We reached the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm's edge, but no one has yet intercepted us. Strange…"

Mingzhi also surveyed the surroundings, her sharp eyes narrowing in doubt.

She expected them to be intercepted while traveling in the realm pathway that connected the Lower Realms. From the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm, the sequence of realms to the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm was only three realms, so the journey was rather short and fast using the Temporal Voidplane Ring that allowed them to traverse vast distances in the Lower Realm space.

They jumped from Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm, Dark-Winged Tiger Lower Realm, Earth Dragon Lower Realm, and finally reached the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm.

However, no Heaven's Warriors blocked their way. They didn't expect any riffraff or ruling powers to intercept them either, unless they had a death wish.

"Really strange~" Calypsea echoed their sentiment, "Where is Venerable Knight Foredawn? I was waiting for him to show up so I could devour his flames. I still remember its taste…"

She pouted.

The others smiled, causing Mingzhi to giggle.

"According to the last intelligence I collected, the Venerable Knights knew we were going to make a move and exit the Lower Realms through the secret realm. It is kind of obvious since everyone knows the secret realm is closing soon, so they would expect most of us to migrate."

"Are they waiting at the entrance to the secret realm?" Shirley asked with a curious look.

"I don't think so, but let me check."

Mingzhi took out a few messaging talismans to send a few messages. Within a few seconds, the talismans glowed, indicating that the other side had sent messages.

After hearing the content, Mingzhi shook her head.

"The merchant town in the secret realm is teeming with people who are hastily making their way out of the secret realm. It is also flooded with traders looking to buy bulk resources at low prices, since most geniuses cannot leave safely without getting robbed. As for Heaven's Warriors, they are there but just on the level of patrolling, which is common. There appears to be no Venerable Knights or high-ranking Heaven's Warriors."

"Have we lucked out?" Shirley raised her brows, appearing suspicious.

"There's only one way to tell." Tanya heaved a breath, "We'll land in the merchant town and see if we're impeded or not."

Mingzhi and the others nodded.

With a wave of her hand, Mingzhi's spatial energy swirled from her dantian to her finger, powering up the Temporal Voidplane Ring that glowed with a black-silver light. A spatial gate appeared, directly connecting to the edge of the merchant town.

She didn't want to break things or create a ruckus since the merchant town itself was sealed by a spatial formation.

They walked out of the spatial gate and looked around. Still, no one came to subdue them.

"There's only one answer left." Mingzhi sighed.

"They're converging in the Upper Realms to crush us into oblivion," Myria said lightly.

"Dammit. This is scarier than I thought it would be…"

Shirley stamped her feet before pouting, "I guess this is where we part."

"Yes." Mingzhi took the Temporal Voidplane Ring off and gave it to Isabella, "Take us all to where Davis is and stay with him. As long as we are by his side until we exit the secret realm, we'll be content."

"I will." Isabella solemnly nodded and wore the Temporal Voidplane Ring, binding it after using a drop of blood.

Instantly, half her martial energy was gone again, but she didn't sway or feel discomfort.

After a brief farewell, Mingzhi, Tanya, Lereza, and Schleya were taken into the Temporal Voidplane Ring.

"Calypsea~ Don't dodge it…"

Isabella looked to the side and saw Calypsea float away.

"Ah, it's scary…" Calypsea complained as she shook her head, refusing to enter.

As a spirit with an insane perception, she could more or less imagine what lay within the black-silver ring. It rang alarm bells within her, so the moment the spatial dome erupted, she quickly dodged.

With no choice left, Isabella wanted to use the Perception Delay ability of the Temporal Voidplane Ring, which slowed down the reaction speed of the targets. However, she didn't want to force it on Calypsea.

"Calypsea, don't be disobedient. We're all leaving this space, and we can't leave you here. Don't you want to see Davis?"

"…" Calypsea cautiously gazed at Isabella.

"I want to… but I don't want to enter that ring…"

"You have to. There's no other way. Don't make it difficult for us, Calypsea. Do you want us to leave you here?"

"I'll… I'll follow you using the Upper Realm Node…"

Isabella and the others' expressions churned. At this last point, they had an internal crisis?

They couldn't take Lea out either since she was inside the mini-realm, which would require them to take out Stella first. But if they took out Stella, it would create a huge spectacle since she would not be wearing the Temporal Voidplane Ring, which suppresses the undulations of the mini-realm.

A huge world descending from nowhere into space without anchoring to a spatial node will create a massive phenomenon. This could be mitigated since Stella acted as the anchor, but they didn't know how well it would work. The main problem was that there were Empyreans who were at the peak in terms of prowess inside the mini-realm, which made it heavier.

'This is not working… her instincts as an apocalyptic spirit that doesn't want to get sealed are acting up…' Shirley clenched her fist within her sleeves, wanting to make a move.

"Seal herself with me. I'll trap her." She sent Isabella a physical transmission as she stepped past him and touched her hand.

"Calypsea," Myria opened her mouth, her voice soft, "We are family. We will never hurt you."

Calypsea trembled, her little face darkening, yet her eyes turned moist.

"You're all forcing me…" She clenched her little fist, purplish-black apocalyptic flames surging from her body.
