Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4794 Near To The Stars

Chapter 4794  Near To The Stars

With her on guard, Shirley knew she had lost her chance to throw a pre-emptive strike. She raised her hands in surrender.

"Calypsea, Davis, and Lea are expecting you to be there with them when we get there. They adore you. Only by suppressing your instincts and making choices that go against your prerogative will you ever make us feel safe and allow us to know that you will protect us in the future without a single hint of doubt. They will be proud of you for suppressing your instincts today."

"I…" Calypsea appeared confused yet also understanding.

She gazed at the ring with some fear in her eyes. Her body was instinctively moving away, and she couldn't take a step forward, making her want to flee instead.

Tia looked around, careful of ambushes.

Fortunately, they descended into an empty space, or they would've created a huge commotion.

"That's right… take a step forward…"

Tia returned her gaze and saw Calypsea moving forward as Shirley and the others moved back, only leaving Isabella at the forefront.

"Come to me, Calypsea. You're always one of us." Isabella spread her hands with a deep smile on her face.

Calypsea took slow steps in the air. It took her nearly forty seconds to cover a few meters, but she finally did it, allowing Isabella to release the Spatial Dome and seal Calypsea inside.

Looking into the spatial ring, Isabella saw Calypsea looking scared and shed a few tears at the last moment. She appeared terrified, nearly making Isabella feel something break in her heart. Intense guilt swelled, but she knew this was for the sake of safely transporting their entire family to the Upper Realms.

"You fought well." She uttered with a faint voice, holding the ring with fondness and respect.

Myria, Shirley, and Tia touched her shoulders, comforting her, but she shook her head and turned around.

"Let's go."

With a wave of her hand, Myria ripped open the spatial formation. After they entered, it closed.

They unceremoniously walked into the merchant town. Numerous people were first stunned by who these bevy of fairies were. They couldn't recognize since they wore different robes, which meant that they weren't from any sect. They didn't have any family insignia either, making them confused.

However, the more they looked at them, the quicker they found out who they were based on their characteristics. Particularly, Shirley and Isabella were striking since they were renowned as the Earth Dragon Villainess and the Icefire Phoenix Demoness!

They froze. They went silent as they watched them walk ahead, making their way to the spatial vortex, which every supreme genius was now desperately trying to escape from.

The crowd walking and hollering in the streets gave way to the solemn group of women who eventually reached the spatial vortex and disappeared. Only then did they heave a sigh of relief.

On the other side, Isabella stepped out of the spatial vortex and looked at the ring first. It didn't break or spill out what it couldn't contain.

"Success…" Her downcast expression finally produced a satisfied smile.

She turned to look at the others and saw they also nodded with excited and approving smiles.

They could now transport their entire family to the Upper Realms!

===========

Three months after Fairy Thunderblaze entered the celestial body.

The wasteland she had entered had long since unfolded its buried truths, revealing its scars and forgotten histories. But now, the sight she was currently seeing put an end to all that history.

Fairy Thunderblaze sat on a shattered seat, her slender form framed by crimson-purple robes as golden-scarlet lightning flickered across her figure, arcing over her skin silently. The grand hall she occupied was covered in opulent silk and ceremonial lanterns.

However, the floor was strewn with overturned tables and shattered jade cups. Festive banners hung ripped and soaked in blood. The corpses of richly dressed nobles sprawled across the marble like discarded puppets, their final expressions twisted in terror.

All those who sat alongside her in the long table were now on the floor, twitching and frothing out black blood from their mouths, their eyes already having twisted to the back of their heads, their souls seemingly already having been extinguished.

She turned to look to the side and saw a man dressed in a golden robe seated in the seat belonging to the master of the palace. He trembled heavily as he stood up, blood dripping out of his mouth as he pointed at her.

"You- it's you…! How!?"

As he asked, he threw a strike, but he staggered and smashed the long table, causing it to shatter.

Fairy Thunderblaze still didn't move. She calmly remained seated, her luscious lips moving.

"Not much effort is needed for me to kill a pathetic man who gained a Divine Exalt Manual to cultivate by chance."

"Why!?" He cried out, his eyes filled with confusion as though he couldn't understand why she would want to kill him.

He didn't remember offending anyone powerful from the outside world!

Fairy Thunderblaze had saved the last cup from being destroyed. She brought it to her face, moved her veil lightly, and took a sip elegantly.

"You are a mere bandit wearing the robe of an emperor… hiding from the outside world while ruling this empire like a parasite. Feasting on the lives of your people, you turned an entire celestial body into a graveyard of starving homes, widowed families, and endless war. Even I, a suspicious person, made it to your palace just by acting as a powerful merchant who can make you ridiculous amounts of profit. Just a bit of skill and you easily allowed me to into your inner circle, even lusting after me…"

Lightning crackled faintly around her ankles as though cackling to the cold truth in her tone. It was as though she was mocking her- no, she was. She didn't even bother looking at him!

"Damn you! Gah!"

The Divine Exalt burst with anger, trying to unleash his Level Three Divine Exalt undulations one last time, but was met with a severe backlash instead, which made his body and soul explode inside out.

Black blood splattered as his skin ruptured in a clear line across his body.

With a thud, he fell back and looked at the ceiling, unable to believe that he was drowning in his own poisoned blood.

"Idiot. Don't you know this type of poison aggravates the Godskull into collapsing the more you try to use your energy? The lack of knowledge you have about poisons alone caused you to die a quick death."

The Divine Exalt merely spurted another mouthful of black blood, which drowned him again, giving him an excruciating dying experience.

He couldn't tell when he was poisoned at all. Where did she even get the poison that would kill a Divine Exalt?

This woman had gifted him Empyrean Grade resources, which he had eaten. She told him she was from the True Peak Emporium and even showed him her identity token.

Was it all fake? Had it all been fake…?

"Pfft! Ahahaha! " He suddenly burst out laughing.

"You… you will not have a good death…!" he spat, coughing blood.

"You, who brought ruin to my Golden Radiance Empire, will never be blessed with marriage or companionship! Never! I curse you, your life, your soul, your lineage! Everything will fall into a calamitous ruin! You… you… you…"

He tried to express more, but his eyes dulled as his Godskull collapsed and his soul ruptured, releasing a thick amount of energy into the atmosphere, turning everything into gold and little amounts of silver.

Fairy Thunderblaze finally floated. She hovered as she made it all the way to the ceiling of the dome and looked at the stars in the sky.

"You're not the first to curse me like that." She said in an indifferent tone.

Yet, her heart couldn't help but tremble incessantly for the first time.

Cold stars glimmered in clusters, appearing ancient and distant. She gazed at them, the crimson glow in her eyes dimming into a quiet melancholy.

Her veil lifted amidst the wind, revealing a different face, which eventually returned to her exquisite features. She raised a hand, brushing her fingers across the starlight as though touching something far away.

"My dear," she murmured, her voice finally softening and tinged with warmth and longing.

"I have done as you commanded."

The winds outside carried the scent of ashes as the entire city now appeared to be up in flames.

"From now on, this celestial body is now yours to control, although I don't know… if you're still mine…"

She brought her hand back, trying to enclose her fist between her bosom as her lips quivered. She didn't know that she could feel- this afraid.
