Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4951 Natalya's Recovery Celebration

Chapter 4951  Natalya's Recovery Celebration

Lydia and Arc looked at each other, a bit perplexed and still alert.

They couldn't have been wrong with their guesses, right? How come father and the others weren't taking any action?

"My unfilial son." Fiora pointed at Arc, "What are you doing waiting there? Quickly go congratulate your great-mother on her recovery. Remember, it was because of great-mother Natalya that I'm together with your father. Don't keep her waiting~"

"Alright, alright…"

Arc echoed. He clenched his teeth, bringing Lydia over tot he center of the hall in front of Natalya.

Cupping his hands, he smiled, "Congratulations on your recovery, great-mother. May you live a long life with father and create happiness wherever you go."

"Good child~ You will find excellence within your cultivation as long as you maintain a firm heart."

Natalya had just fed a cake to Arc. She took another piece from the cake and brought it over to Arc.

Arc's lips twitched, but he forcefully opened his mouth, and Natalya gently pushed it into his mouth, making a creamy and soft taste explode in his mouth. Momentarily, he relished the taste before quickly bowing over the compliment.

"Many thanks, great-mother. Arc will do his best to be called a worthy son of the Davis Family."

"Lydia…" Ellia gently reminded, unlike Fiora, prompting Lydia to do the same as she bowed and cupped her hands.

"Congratulations on your recovery, Mother Natalya. May you live a long life with father and create happiness wherever you go."

"Sweet little Lydia, you're the one who creates happiness wherever you go~"

Natalya smiled gently before moving the piece over to Lydia's face, causing her to take a bite.

Lydia didn't think it was poisoned or had something done to it since everyone ate from the same portion of the serving. The delicious cake made her feel somewhat good in her heart before she watched her father steal half the portion of cake before eating it himself as though he was starved for a long time, making her speechless.

Where was the imperial aura she had sensed before during the proclamation of the imperial decree? Where was the incredible pressure?

She swallowed the cake and sniffled, not knowing what was going on, but felt somewhat relieved. She hated herself for being indecisive, but more than that, she hated this family for making her love them.

She found it extremely hard to extricate herself from them, even though the exit was just a few hand signs away.

She remained gloomy throughout the celebration as she found a place for herself on a sofa. Occasionally, Arc would come close and comfort her in a concealed manner, and other times, he would keep a lookout on her from a distance.

Father didn't come to her, and neither did the other mothers. Only Mother Ellia came, occasionally poking fun at her, which made her smile and ease a bit.

They didn't force her to socialize, nor did they act like she was non-existent, occasionally shooting her a smile of encouragement as though telling her to come play.

'Clearly, everyone here other than Eden knows…'

Lydia took a sip from the glass, relishing the cherry taste of the drink. She felt quite foolish for thinking she could remain hidden when monsters like someone who could comprehend Level Three Obscure Intent of Heart Laws existed here.

She was perfectly aware that this was a realm reached by the heroes and masters of the human race. There was no hiding from it.

"Oh, is this the star map artifact Fiora was talking about?" Natalya said as she saw a star-shaped metal artifact.

Fiora smirked, "Yes, Mingzhi borrowed it for me from Fairy Qiyra Darkstar, who agreed to take Mingzhi as her disciple."

"Great. Mingzhi, you've kept this matter hidden from me."

Davis reached out his hand and pointed his finger at Mingzhi as though warning her, causing her to giggle.

"Can't reveal my cards soon. If you bully me, I'll have Master Qiyra break your legs so you can't escape anymore."

Davis took his hand back and coughed, "Whatever, I'll pardon you too."

He walked towards Arc and patted his shoulder, "Arc, what do you think of showing us how your perception encompasses the myriad astral stars of the three layers?"

"Sure."

Arc readily agreed, eager to show his father.

Some of his siblings still doubted his ability since it was exaggerated, but with this, he felt like he could prove himself.

He ran to Lydia and brought her along to his cultivation chamber as they moved places.

Arc sat in the center of the cultivation chamber as he held the star-shaped metal in his palms.

He began to enter a meditative state, his astral perception reaching the skies and spreading across the space and the stars populating it. Even soul sense cannot reach that kind of distance this quick even if it could, and definitely not a mortal's.

At the same time, Davis and the others saw the star-shaped metal tremble faintly in Arc's palms as the light inside it awakened.

A gentle glow spread from its center like a droplet of starlight falling into still water. The metal edges unfolded with quiet precision, each segment rotating outward and aligning into an intricate lattice. Within moments, a vast diagram of glowing points appeared in the air above Arc's head.

The chamber darkened as the artifact devoured the surrounding light.

What replaced it was not darkness but a vast empty sky.

Countless stars shimmered in the air, forming a deep astral ocean that seemed to adjust itself within the chamber walls. The stars were not randomly scattered as they seemed to pulse with a hidden rhythm, connected by faint lines of silver light that revealed a breathtaking web of constellations.

Arc's breathing slowed as his mind sank deeper into the artifact.

His astral perception surged outward.

To the observers, a layer of semi-transparent cloud began moving from Arc. The diagram expanded larger and larger until it filled the entire cultivation chamber, but so did this cloud, nearly reaching the highest point of the ceiling. The cloud encompassed layers and layers of star fields, leaving the ones in the highest point unable to be reached.

"Amazing…" Davis said.

Having tried the perception method himself for fun, he knew his astral perception would not even reach the stars above his head. His own energy further clouded his astral perception.

"So many stars…" Natalya's gaze gleamed.

It was so beautiful.

Davis turned to look at his little daughter, "Lydia, didn't you learn about the Astral Cultivation Method? Teach us some aspects of this map."

'Still pretending…' Lydia pouted.

However, she did as her father asked, stepping forward and pointing at the layer of stars in their altitude.

"This is the Third Astral Sea, containing more than a sextillion stars located across the Third Layer of each Galaxy. They sprawl around the Lower Realms and many celestial bodies. Their combinations create a nearly infinite number of constellations. However, our ancient human experts who have created and researched the astral cultivation method have widely differentiated these constellations into Sky Constellations and Mortal Constellations."

Lydia's hand pointed further upward.

"Likewise, for the Second Astral Sea that is home to more than septillion stars located across the Second Layer, they are widely differentiated into Major Constellations and Minor Constellations. The First Astral Sea, home to more than a nonillion stars, is widely differentiated into eighty-one Grand Major Constellations and seven hundred and twenty-nine Grand Minor Constellations."

She described in a professional manner, devoid of her cute nature.

"…"

Evelynn and the others blinked at her, but were also taken aback by the vastness of the stars.

Lydia continued, "This astral star-map is good. It covers at least an octillion of the stars in the Three Astral Seas, and Arc's perception has covered nearly all of it, even the Exalt Grade ones at the edges, while leaving the ones that are out of reach or extremely difficult to sense, like those from the Zeroth Layer that is outside the Three Layers. It is discreetly known as the Origin Astral Sea, where the number of stars and constellations is said to be nearly endless, but also extremely dangerous and hostile."

"…"

Everyone went speechless.

Eden looked at Lydia with admiration. How could she know so much?

On the other hand, Lydia matched gazes with Davis, her lips curling, "Is that enough, or should I say more?"

"..."

Davis's gaze gleamed while Ellia looked worriedly.

He smiled, "What makes an astral cultivator so confident that they can think they can escape from the Divine Emperor of Death, who has command over reincarnation energy?"

Lydia's chest rose a bit before she turned to look at the ceiling and waved her hand.

Instantly, a few stars lit up in the First Astral Sea, forming the diagram of a giant yet beautiful bird.

"There are many things that make an astral cultivator confident in their abilities to escape, but there is particularly one that makes them even more confident against those who have a deep understanding of life and death. That would be this constellation - one of the eighty-one Grand Major Constellations - Grand Divine Phoenix Constellation."
