Davis used his palms to wipe his face top to bottom till his chin, his expression blank.

Their reasons were so contemporary that he couldn't find anything to help them.

"I grew jealous…!" Laura looked ashamed but still echoed her sentiment.

"He's mine! No one can have him!"

She stood up and waved her hand, shouting at Davis as she grew explosive.

Davis raised his hand, his expression awkward, "Alright, alright… sit down…"

He couldn't believe this. This girl was just too temperamental and possessive.

Still, Davis continued, "And then… why did you think making that move would help you get him all to yourself, much less earn the approval of anyone?"

"What we're doing is taboo… I didn't think I could obtain anyone's approval, so I intended to leave, but Evan made me stay… telling me he shares the same emotion as mine and wants to live with me… but before that- we should be punished by big brother as he deems fit, since he might understand our plight…"

Davis badly wanted this to be a lie, but he could find none. Why were they relying on him for this matter!?

He wanted to shout, but suppressed himself, gritting his teeth with a heavy glare.

"…" Evan and Laura eyed each other.

Davis narrowed his brows as he sensed their intent to complain.

"Speak." He sternly said, causing Evan to shiver.

"Big brother… is it true that you…"

"True what?"

Evan clenched his teeth before he took the leap.

"There are some rumors saying that you once possessed unspeakable feelings, elder sister Clara, and she too possessed such feelings… but since it was a taboo, she decided to leave and become a Heaven's Warrior to pursue her path…"

Davis blinked before he stood up as his aura burst, "Who the fuck said such a thing!?"

Evan and Laura lowered their heads in terror. Fortunately, Davis's cultivation was still suppressed, so they didn't fly off the grid.

Davis heard his father's soul transmission before he nodded inwardly, turning to look back at his siblings.

He wanted to say it was a misunderstanding, but he didn't bother breaching on this topic.

"So you two assumed Clara and I were in a secretive relationship?"

"…" The two of them nodded hesitantly.

Davis coldly chuckled, "By all rights, I should've murdered you two in cold blood for even spewing such a thing, but you won't say you relied on this, right?"

"Of course not. We still would've-"

"Shut up!"

"…" Evan and Laura wanted to cry.

This was why they didn't want to explain. They're only going to get told to shut up.

In the distance, Logan couldn't help but sigh.

At first, he was worried Davis would really murder them with how he thrashed them, but fortunately, he seemed willing to listen, and then, he shuddered as he listened to them spew rumors about Clara and Davis and thought they would really die this time, as Davis cared about Clara very much, but he still forgave them.

Unexpectedly, his son cared for Laura and Evan even though he hadn't seen them for a long time.

He did feel Davis was very much fit to be the leader of the household.

With Heart Intent, communication became really easy for him as he didn't need to think twice about believing someone, no matter how sincere and true they were, but he also knew the many incidents regarding how Heart Intent users tended to go insane and berserk.

His son never showed any signs of that, and he couldn't be anymore proud.

Davis took a deep breath to calm himself before he waved his hand.

"There's nothing I can do for you two. I'll decide after letting your parents know."

"Brother…!"

Evan and Laura went pale.

But before they could say anything, a figure appeared by their side as Davis made a peculiar gesture.

He waved his hand over his neck as though giving the signal to behead them, and when they turned to look, they saw Mother Nora appear as the ripples of a darkness-attributed formation rippled, her expression wrathful, with her eyes bloodshot.

"…!"

They were alarmed.

"Laura, you conniving little, shameless wench! How dare you!?"
