Chapter 1980: 24.241 Sixth Violet Star - Meaning of the Letter

Under such confusion, Long Juedi didn’t know how to trust. He never expected that uncle from the Mu Clan, Mu Liao would be the traitor that caused the death of his father and grandfather. Now this person even after his death would bewildered by his life. He found a letter written on a human skin hidden in his mouth when the head of Mu Liao rolled over to him. Long Juedi was not supposed to take it away but as if something in him was whispering to take the letter away, he took it. Who would have thought that a message that involved the new marshal was written on it?

Long Juedi had told his uncle Long Kian, his cousin Long Teng and the parents of Haerin, Uncle Heri and Uncle Vega about this creepy letter. Now this piece of skin was placed on the table surrounded by them. The adults had serious expressions on their faces while the students looked confused. They couldn’t understand the meaning of this message but since it involves the new marshal they felt something is wrong with it.

Former Elf King, Vega looked at his mate and asked, "Wife, what do you think?"

Heri, the prophet of the Beastmen race couldn’t help but stare at the message written on a human skin. Under this letter, the skin itself had some kind of tattoo, and for some reason these tattoos didn’t seem ordinary as if it had a meaning of its own. As a prophet, Heri’s ability had something to do with the past and the future. He couldn’t control much of what he can see in the future but he can see through the past by touching the object. This is his unique ability. But because it was too overpowered, he is born a lot weaker compared to his older brother, Hezi (Huzi), who is the leader of their race.

"Let me check. However, if something is wrong, wake me up right away," said Heri to his mate and other half, Vega.

The former elf king immediately turned serious and nodded towards his mate. Everyone watches as Heri reaches out a hand to touch the detached skin. The moment the skin was touched, Heri was immediately pulled into a past timeline and he is now watching the life of Mu Liao unfold before him.

The first scene is when the noble clans kidnapped him and his father. The two of them were used to threaten his father to betray the old marshal, Long Huang. Then he watches those pig-like nobles kill his mother as a warning to his father. In the end, his father chose to betray the old marshal which completely broke down the relationship between the old marshal and Mu Liao’s father.

Mu Liao’s father fell into depression after betraying his family’s savior. However, with his wife dead, Mu Liao was the only one in his family. There is no way he can also sacrifice his last family, his son. That led to the betrayal of the Mu family which pushed the Long Clan further down and closer to hell. This is something his father couldn’t do anything about. The young Mu Liao watches his father’s straight back bend and move around with a problem in his body.

However, he didn’t stop as he built his own family’s business, something that can even contend against the noble family which made those arrogant nobles. Sadly, the Long Clan no longer trusts them, the Mu Clan, instead, the old marshal saw them as enemies and guarded them. Mu Liao after reaching his young adult stage went to countless missions and there he sneaked into the Mu clan. He was the first to learn about the egg of the Evil Beast God.

He allured to betray the human race in exchange for power. He agreed with an intention of gathering proof to drag the Pei Clan, and Pei Jin to hell with him. Unfortunately, the Evil Beast God’s control over him was stronger than he thought. He can only do as he was ordered and everything was beyond his means. He didn’t know that the Evil Beast God is a foreign entity that was not of this world.

During their secret meaning he had found out about the existence of the other traitors of the human race. Mu Liao thought nothing else would end up worse than his current life. It was until he heard that his father died with the old marshal that he finally lost it and fought against the control over himself. He pretended to be loyal to the Evil Beast God when in reality, he was slowly killing all the traitors of the human race on his own way.

Among these traitors, most were killed by himself while still following the command of the Evil Beast God. Everything had changed when he was caught by the God of Destruction, the youngest prince of the beastmen race, Hei Anjing. Mu Liao knew that before this divine one, it was almost impossible to survive. So when the person read his memories, he also knew that he would not be forgiven but would be punished instead.

However, the God of Destruction is whimsical. He wasn’t angry about his betrayal. Instead he was enraged because his younger sister was almost harmed. That’s why he didn’t take away his life, instead giving him a punishment akin to cursing. But during the nights he endures the pain given to him by the divine one, he noticed that the control of the Evil Beast God on him had lessened quite a lot. Thanks to this he had made some preparation before his death (Execution).

He peeled a part of his skin and left the last descendant of Long Tian a warning, as well as the proof of the Evil Beast God’s control over some spies in within the alliance and a map where all the proof of his betray as well something that can point out the rest of traitor is hidden. It was a gamble that his head after being beheaded would either roll near Long Juedi or whether the child would come or not.

It seems he had won the gamble as Long Juedi had taken away the last letter he had made to clear his name. Though the proof couldn’t completely clear his past actions, it would at least help others to prosecute the rest of the traitors within the alliance giving the latter a chance to clean up all the hidden parasites from within.

Heri had seen everything that must be seen. But when he was about to leave he noticed that the Evil Beast God seemed to notice him and wanted to capture his soul.

Heri’s only thought at this moment, ’I cannot be caught. Or everything else will be for nought!’

He tried his hardest to escape the clutches of the Evil Beast God who can move in the time and space domain freely. As a foreign divinity, such ability is not rare, even the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness can do it as well.

Heri was about to be captured when suddenly, the blessing that was given to him by the Ancient God of Chaos and the God of Destruction flashed. Heri, protected by two gods, escaped from the Evil Beast God’s hands and woke up in reality. When Heri opened his eyes, he met the eye of his beloved, the former elf king Vega looking at him worriedly.

Only when Heri’s eyes opened that Vega sighed in relief.

"You’ve woken up. Thank God!"

What happened while Heri was in the state of watching the past timeline of Mu Liao.

Holding the hands of his mate, former elf king, Vega, held the free hand of his wife as he carefully watched over him. All of the sudden, he felt his wife’s hand turning cold and he was trembling all over. Former Elf King Vega immediately turned serious as he pulled his mate’s hand away from the message left behind by Mu Liao. Unfortunately, it was out of his control and some unknown force is preventing him from pulling away his beloved.

"Heri! HERI! Wake up! Open your eyes!"

Seeing that Heri is not waking up, he can only slap him awake. Out of nowhere a bright light flashed within the room and the force that prevented Vega from pulling his lover away from that letter made of skin had suddenly disappeared. It’s just that his wife, Heri, didn’t wake up right away.

Waiting for a few minutes was like days for the former elf king. When Heri finally woke up, Vega finally felt the burden in his heart lifted as he pulled his wife to his embrace.

"You’ve woken up. Thank God!"

After calming down, Heri told everyone what he had seen in the past timeline of Mu Liao. The living room fell in silence and the atmosphere turned forlorn. It can be said that the life of Mu Liao is no different from that of a puppet. If only he didn’t get caught by the Pei Clan that day. He wouldn’t become a puppet that betrayed his own race and the alliance. Much less cause the death of his own father and even his own execution.

Former Elf King Vega held the human skin used to send this letter. He had found the tattoo that looked like a curse at first but only to know that it is a map that will drag out all the spies within the alliance.

"This letter... Xiao Jue, give this to me. This is something we cannot hold onto." Former Elf King Vega said.

Long Juedi asked, "What is Master going to do about it?"

"I will give it to the Beast God. This is something that must be given to them. It would be better if it was given to the two princes instead," Elf Vega said.
