Chapter 3800: Can’t Find
Kunprio looked around, noticing the other Umbras quickly making their way there. "Hmph!"
His Divine Sense spread, and his Celestial Laws of Fire followed. Those Umbras were still hundreds, if not thousands, of kilometers away. Yet, the moment they were touched by Kunprio’s Celestial Laws, that was their end.
They began to burn from inside, the tyrannical Yang Energy and Fire Element wiping all those Level Three Umbras in a matter of seconds. No amount of Celestial Laws used by the Umbras could help them survive.
With that done, Kunprio turned his attention back to the five Umbras near the Octahedron Husk. "Now then, was it you who destroyed the core?"
Renkan and the others were suffering incredible pain as Kunprio’s Fire Element slowly ate their souls. He was obviously torturing them, hoping for an answer. Turns out that Kunprio couldn’t soul-search their memories due to the peculiarities of the Umbras’ souls.
"No! It was not us! Stop, stop!" Renkan, Gidui, and the others answered at the same time. They couldn’t fight back. They just wanted it to end by now.
Kunprio narrowed his eyes.
The twins’ Divine Senses could spread over ten thousand kilometers when nothing was blocking them, and they were only Space-Time Realm experts. Kunprio’s Divine Sense obviously could go much, much further. And, as the Universe Owner, nothing in D33 could block it. His Divine Sense easily encompassed the entire Dark Purple Area and beyond, though there was no longer any Purple Light.
"Are you sure it wasn’t you?" Even with his huge Divine Sense, he couldn’t detect anyone else’s presence. All the Umbras that were coming here were killed by him, and the area was empty. "Then who was it?"
---
Meanwhile, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky were feeling enormous pressure. Out of nowhere, a powerful Divine Sense smashed against Rean’s Light and Divine Sense Bending Skill. It was so strong that Rean almost failed to bend it, and he knew the origin of that Divine Sense was really far away. Had they delayed their departure by another minute, Rean would have failed to bend it.
"Celestial Realm Expert..." Rean said with a bitter smile while Kentucky threw caution to the wind and flew as fast as he could.
Roan looked behind, and although he was also feeling that pressure, he wasn’t too surprised. "We destroyed something related to this Universe’s Banishing Light. I guess it was to be expected that someone would come to check."
[It wasn’t just that. You see, there are a total of twelve Umbral Fields hidden behind the fabric of space. Each of them has a corrupted system shard.] Sister Orb was looking at the information the system acquired from the shard as she spoke. [Turns out the Umbral Field is connected to the twelve Light Spreaders outside. Those two work together to bring the emotions and intentions into the fabric of space. Now that we have gotten rid of the Octahedron Core, the Light Spreader outside that was connected to it will not work anymore.]
Sister Orb corrected herself right after. [No, I was wrong. The Light Spreader will work normally. It’s just that the purged emotions and intentions won’t be banished behind the fabric of space. There are only twelve of those all over the Universe, so you can probably guess how much of a big deal it is.]
Rean and the others could see it indeed.
"It is too late for regrets," Rean continued to work hard to bend that Divine Sense. Even with all his perks, he was barely managing to do it. "We need to get away from here."
Zangeshu suddenly spoke from inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. ’Didn’t the system say we now can deal with the ancient runes? You guys should be able to open a Spatial Gate to exit the Fabric of Space.’
Roan immediately refused that idea. "Not now. If we open a Spatial Gate here, we will be found straight away."
Kentucky continued to fly for another ten minutes straight, and the power of that Divine Sense finally began to diminish a little. Rean was relieved that he managed to hold. Unfortunately...
"Shit!" Rean turned his face back in the direction the Divine Sense was coming from. "He’s coming!"
Erxando was terrified. A real Celestial Realm Expert was no joke. "C-Can I do something? Anything?"
Roan heard that and instantly jumped out of Kentucky’s back. "Attach yourself to me and make me invisible to other Umbras."
"Al-Alright!" Erxando nodded, and his shape changed. Just like Xian, he covered Roan with his Shadow Energy body. A small eye popped out of Roan’s shoulder, Erxando’s eyes. "Done!"
Roan continued to exchange elements with Rean, using Rean’s Light Element to bend the Divine Sense as well. "We won’t outpace a Celestial Realm Expert. Time for plan B."
Rean nodded. "Let’s go!"
*Zush, zush!*
Rean and Roan immediately shot in two different directions. Rean had Kentucky under him, while Roan flew alone. That wasn’t a problem, though. The idea was for them to be in two different places before that Celestial Realm Expert caught up, and he was going to.
As they flew away, Rean spoke through their connection. ’We have thirty seconds before he gets too close for me to bend his Divine Sense.’
Roan nodded, refraining from spreading his own Divine Sense as it would be detected by Kunprio. ’Just continue to fly at full speed. That guy will have to select one of us, and that will be enough.’
As Roan said that, his appearance changed, and he now looked like a completely different person. Roan wasn’t an idiot. Rean had Kentucky, who was the fastest. That Celestial Realm Expert was bound to follow Roan first, who was alone and was slower.
Yet, to their surprise, Kunprio stopped moving.
’Why did he stop?’ Rean asked.
’What? Do you want me to go back and ask?’ Roan answered the obvious. Of course, he didn’t know either.
Kunprio only stopped for a minute, though. Then, he selected a direction and flew again. He was going after Roan, as predicted.
As to why Kunprio stopped, that was because he couldn’t detect the twins’ group’s presence with his Divine Sense. The one who was pointing the right direction was Danra, the Umbra with the detection skill! Well, she still had to stop every time she wanted to use it; thus, the one-minute stop or so.
