Death… And Me

Chapter 4020: One Chance!

Chapter 4020: One Chance!

It made sense that no one other than the twins’ group noticed Vuccu. After all, Rean always kept his Divine Sense Bending Skill active, albeit only slightly. That way, he wouldn’t really bend any Divine Senses, but would still feel any Divine Sense touching it.

As for how Vuccu’s Divine Sense was getting inside the Formations from Qufis, that was quite simple. The formations were made to stop at most Divinity Realm Senses. Who would expect a Celestial Realm expert to come into the Future Realm? Qufis could build one capable of such a thing fairly easily, but that would have taken time and resources, which didn’t make sense to spend.

Rean and Roan’s eyes closed again, followed by Kentucky’s. They didn’t even turn their heads in the direction Vuccu appeared. Since the Divine Sense was here, Vuccu would probably notice if they had looked in his direction at that exact moment. The twins’ group simply pretended they didn’t feel anything and continued to cultivate while they discussed it through Divine Sense.

Meanwhile, Vuccu caught his silver lace, noticing that it had lost quite a lot of its power. This item wasn’t supposed to be used often. The formations that the Werdlem Empire prepared for these kinds of places are there to prevent even Celestial Realm Experts from entering. So items like that lace, this one explicitly made for this Future Realm, could only be found in the hands of experts from the Werdlem Empire itself, or their direct subordinates, like the Tombassin Sect.

The gap behind Vuccu quickly disappeared, no one except a few members of the Riquicious Empire knowing this. Vuccu then paid attention to his Divine Sense, which was strong enough to cover all the Future Realm. ’There they are.’

Vuccu’s body flashed, disappearing without a trace.

In a matter of minutes, he arrived right above the Qufis Alliance’s Formation. No one noticed his presence yet, and he didn’t do anything either. He just observed. His attention was on the twins’ group.

Of course, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky knew he was there, thanks to their Divine Sense Bending. It’s just that they pretended to not see anything.

’He is looking straight at us, isn’t he?’ Kentucky asked.

Rean and Roan knew that. ’Obviously. However, he isn’t making any moves. We don’t know what he wants, or if he found something wrong about us.’

’We did join the Qufis Alliance in the last minute. Now that we have had so many breakthroughs, could it be he has become suspicious of our achievements?’

’Even if he was, the fact is that we are truly Divinity Realm Middle Stage Experts now. Well, Sky Divinity. Anyway, we aren’t hiding our cultivation. As members of Qufis, we never hid our cultivation realms from the very start.’

Still, the twins were confused. ’Why hasn’t anyone noticed him yet? He isn’t trying to hide or anything. Can someone please look up... other than ourselves, of course.’

Finally, one of the Elemental Space Realm experts in the Protection Formation, who was sparing with someone else, turned his eyes upward while following the movements of his opponent. It was then that he noticed Vuccu’s silhouette several kilometers above the formation. "Wait, stop a minute!"

His companion halted his attacks. "What? Did you comprehend something?"

"No," the guy shook his head. Then, he turned in Zonhime’s direction. "Senior Zonhime, there is someone above our formation, looking straight at us."

Zonhime, who was working on her laws, was taken aback. "Uh?"

She, as well as everyone else, immediately looked up. Sure enough, they all saw Vuccu there. Pretty much everyone was surprised, but Zonhime and Roney felt terrified.

The Anti-Divine Sense Formations obviously only stopped the senses coming from outside. It didn’t affect the Divine Senses going out. Roney and Zonhime always kept their Divine Senses spread, and yet, even though Vuccu was right in front of them, they couldn’t see a thing with their Divine Senses!

Zonhime swallowed hard, and she stepped out of the formation before bowing with great respect. "I’ve heard about senior’s duty to oversee the opening of the Future Realm this time around. Is there anything this little one can do for you, Senior Vuccu?"

The rest of the Qufis members were shocked to hear that. They heard from their higher-ups about the Celestial Realm Expert who came to watch the Future Realm, but no one expected to see him inside the Future Realm itself. Why was he there?

Well, at least Rean and the others could look straight at Vuccu this time since everyone already noticed him.

Vuccu’s eyes passed by Zonhime, landing on the other Divinity and Space-Time Realm Experts from Qufis. "Tell them all to come out."

"Right away, senior!" Zonhime didn’t dare delay.

Soon, the twins’ group came out with Roney, Fonseca, and the rest, who were at least in the Space Time Realm. They all stopped in front of Vuccu, bowing to him.

Vuccu nodded slightly, his head turning to Zonhime. "It came to my attention that your Qufis initiated an information exchange hub inside the Future Realm."

Zonhime glanced at Foliana and Tanxan. She knew that they had started it, and she didn’t think that there was anything wrong with their idea. Many had done similar things during other openings of the Future Realm. "Lana, Groyin, come forward and greet Senior Vuccu."

Once again, those were the names of their fake IDs.

The twins nodded at them, and the two moved ahead. In a certain way, they were slightly relieved. The worst case was if their fake identity had been found. Everyone believes Werdlem Empire IDs can’t be faked due to the specific Werdlem Energy Signatures of the Werdlem Stones. When Vuccu talked about the information exchange hub, at least they knew Vuccu didn’t doubt their IDs were genuine.

Tanxan and Foliana approached. "Hello, Senior. It was the two of us, and later a few more experts from other powers, who joined together to start this hub. Could it be we did something against the rules of the Future Realm opening?"

Vuccu approached the two, his Divine Sense checking their bodies from top to bottom. He got quite a bit of interest in Foliana. "You have quite a powerful hybrid bloodline there, little girl. As for your question, no, there is nothing wrong with your initiative."

"However, what caught my attention was what the two of you were offering for information about Celestial Laws locations. You added quite a few Divine Energy Veins in the Werdlem Network, way more than anyone was able to find before. That shouldn’t be possible as the Future Realm changes completely with each opening."

He continued. "Also, I’ve been getting many reports regarding the laws of this realm, which would accelerate for short moments once in a while. Last but not least, the Future Realm’s accelerated time has slowed down a little, too. It will close a few hundred years earlier than it usually does."

"I’ve come to the conclusion that your ability to find so many veins is likely related to these ripples in the Future Realm. So, I will ask this only once. How did you manage to locate so many Divine Energy Veins? If it was privileged information, I want names. Be aware that your lives depend on your answer."

As he said that, the Celestial Laws of Silent Passage spread around. Those Celestial Laws were perfect for him, an assassin-type Demon Beast. By controlling those laws, movement and presence do not trigger environmental or spiritual feedback. He simply disappears from everything. Natural Spatial Sense, Divine Sense, Soul Power Scan, you name it.

If not for the fact that he was standing right in front of everyone right now, no one would believe he was there. And he could disappear from normal sight, too, if he wished. It was a method of concealment even more potent than Rean’s Light and Divine Sense Bending Skill.

Foliana and Tanxan bitterly smiled. What kind of answer should they give? That the Chronoblade Serpent itself told them? That obviously wouldn’t work!
